  1. Hearing her scream Ayayayayay really sets the mood of the video
  2. I met Fritz Von Eric once. And waved at Nixon when his motorcade drove down the street in Fort Worth. That's all I got

Hang tough. It will get better in a few days. Wear your sling. You will feel like you don't need it but it will keep your arm from extending if you slip. The LAST thing you want to do is catch yourself with your arm if you go down.
  4. About 10 years ago the superintendent of Abilene ISD told all the teachers this. Of course later he got in a pissing contest with the chief of police and was busted for pill shopping vicodin and possibly covering up a teacher/student relationship to cover his ass. Shout out to Supernintendo Heath Burns, first class prick.

Yeah, I deal a lot with the renewables industry and 80% of the guys are young. I'll start talking about something from the 80's or early 90's and they say " That was 10 years before I was born". It really hits home when I remember I've been full time, real job, employed for 40 years.

Yeah, I don't know what it is about them. It's totally irrational. I tried to prepare myself for one once by crawling under my jeep (to simulate close quarters) while I listened to MRI noises. I made it about 2 minutes. Closing my eyes doesn't help, but lots of valium does.
  7. I try to stay off Texags but sometimes it's a good source of lunacy and humor. A writer at the Battalion suggest they quit worrying about the University of Texas (she get s called out for this naming heresy) and that they do act like the crazy ex-girlfriend. So 1/2 of Texags go crazy ex-girlfriend to say how she's wrong. https://texags.com/forums/5/topics/3361655/1
  8. Not a childhood car but this was the biggest pile of crap I ever owned. 85 Chrysler LaBaron 2.2 turbo , 5 speed. The front seat frame broke at least 5 times. The automatic window drive belts 4 times, timing belt once and the steering wheel actually came loose from the firewall.

The first time I had an mri, I heard the doctor ask the technician “is he going to make it or do you think he’s going to pull himself out of the machine?” I made it through my shoulder mri in an open machine only because the tech came out and held my hand to make sure I didn’t come out of it. I finally found a doctor that would prescribe me Valium. One the night before, one the morning of and one an hour before the mri. Next time tell your doctor you need something to make it through. It’s the only way I can make it through one.

On the repaired rotator cuff. I tore it doing weighted dips. I don't know the mechanics of it all but he said I would eventually tear the left one and possibly re-injure the right one if I continue to do anything that went past 90 degrees on my elbows.
  12. Crapinon replied to Hate's topic in Lulz
He said he cleaned it up, whatever than entailed. But I only had one shoulder done so the other one is still not good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but the way they both hurt most of the time, I'm thinking surgery is eventually going to be necessary.

When I had rotator cuff surgery my doctor said never do any compound movements where your elbows bend more than 90 degrees. It puts too much pressure on them. He also said I had arthritis in my shoulders so I'm thinking that replacement surgery is in my future. Good to know that it's something you can recover from.
  14. It's as clear as mud but here are two sources of info, state and federal. https://guides.sll.texas.gov/gun-laws/carry-of-firearms http://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title18/part1/chapter44&edition=prelim I had a buddy in a similar situation but I believe he was convicted for shoving his wife on a bed before he left the house after an argument. I don't know the whole story but I know her mother hated him with every ounce of her being and went after him like a pit bull to break them up. All I know is he couldn't posses anything other than something for defensive purposes in his own home.
  15. ^^This^^ But be careful when buying one. Few of them are rated safes, most are secure storage cabinets. Go on YouTube and see how easy it it to break in to most of them sold in retail stores. You definitely want to spend a little more and get a good one. Search on Craigslist for real UL rated safes too. You would be surprised what you can find with a little patience. I found two jewelers safes for sale a few years ago. 1 1/4" thick steel walls and door, 4000 lbs each. I don't have anything that valuable but after a home break in a few years ago I realized I have a lot of lot of sentimental stuff I'd like to protect. A buddy of mine and I got them for $400 each because the guy didn't want to mess with them. At the time they retailed for $8K. We had to rent 5000 lbs forklift to move them but we did it.
  16. I bought a Saiga .410 a few years ago. It's a fun little shotgun. I didn't know you could adapt AR platform to .410.
  17. Yeah, that's why fat ass old men shouldn't get in fights. The kid looks like he's stoned so he never sees the 2 mph fist of fury flying at him. He hits the kid right where it should be lights out and it doesn't even phase him besides pushing him over. If the kid knew what he was doing, he would have grabbed the guys belt, yanked him forward, face down on the seats and wailed on him. And I'm not saying the kid wasn't an asshat but I always laugh at old men who think they're a lot tougher than they really are.
  18. In HS I went out with a girl whose dad owned/ran carnival rides. She was everything you think the daughter of a carnival operator would be, wilder than hell but my naïve mind to too stupid to take advantage of it. She ended up marrying a drug dealer who committed suicide while she was pregnant. Last time I heard about her she was a 400+ lbs recluse who never left the house.
  19. I mentioned this in the HS fight song thread. Clyde HS has (had?) Wild Irish Rose as their fight/school song. I don't know what the words were but when we went to games out there I always felt like we should sway and sing WIR in a drunken slur.
  20. The jeweler I first spoke with mentioned lab created diamonds too. Luckily I bought in '83 when I was young and poor so it was pretty small to begin with.
  21. Yeah, mines a tightwad too. Unfortunately, that's probably part of the reason she didn't spend money to get it fixed. She learned the hard way.
  22. I looked and it's just one but I didn't remember if it had little diamond-oids around it that could have fell out too. And I'm taking it to the jeweler. Even though she's frugal, I can see them talking her into adding more to it because it's an anniversary that ends in a zero.
  23. Guess that demon wasn't as tough as she thought she was.
  24. A couple of years ago my wife told me the setting on her wedding ring was loose and ask me to tighten the prongs holding the diamond in place. I did but told her to take it to a jeweler to get it properly fixed. After a couple of months I asked her if she got it fixed. "No I haven't had time but I will". I asked the same question every few months and received the same response. I finally just quit asking. Last Saturday she came up to me and said "Don't be mad but the diamond fell out of my ring and I lost it". I didn't get mad and just laughed. I didn't even have to say "I told you so". Now guess who gets to buy new diamonds for our 40th?
