  1. That's some Rocky level punch taking.
  2. I know AO Williams is making the rounds again, though I don't know what it's called now. They would try to get you to convert whole life policies into term life and invest the difference. I had a guy try to talk me into coming for a free meal at one of their meetings last year.

    Countryisms

My HS football coach told us linemen that we were "slower than cum running down his wife's leg after sex". Not really country but it kind of fits here.
  4. LOL at the comment "boobs in bear market territory".
  5. French kissing a wild animal? A little too friendly with them.
  6. The only pattern I see is that they had to cheat to win.
  7. I'm pretty sure the natty's he is talking about is natty light. And we probably don't want to know what contest they have to win some.
  8. No knockout but there will be once the bowlers find out they messed up the oil in their lanes.
  9. Yeah, i like Dolly but she needs to quit going under the knife.
  10. I saw this thread on ta earlier in the week. Now it looks like it's been removed. This comment doesn't even begin to reflect the arrogant belief that they are the next force in college football. Everyone hated them because they are jealous of their success!
  11. I've known women who really didn't care if there husbands cheated or not. They would get mad but never do anything about it. A friend of mines daughter once told him that she didn't care who her husband was screwing as long as he came home to her. Other women don't care, they just don't want to be embarrassed by the exposure. I guess like you said they like the $$$ and prestige. Or maybe they like to make sandwiches.
  12. I had a buddy who, right before the knockout punch, would extend his arm and repeatedly tap the punchee on the chest with the extended index finger on his left hand. They always thought it was a weak act of aggression, never realizing he was simply measuring distance so he could maximize his punch.
  13. I was hoping that the ice was going to have a spider web like crack in it and the ice gave out under his feet.
  14. Saturday, our bagpipe band hosted a Burns Supper (poet laureate of Scotland). It usually draws a pretty diverse crowd with lots of food and scotch. There was a couple visiting and the guy was in the Air Force. I tried to make conversation because they were visitors but they weren't talkative so I moved on. Later, when it was time to eat, we ask everyone to wear some type of face covering as they went through the food line. I had on a Longhorn gaiter and the second he saw it he said “ I thought you were a decent guy until I saw you in that” and he meant it. Not that I cared, I just assumed he was an aggy with no self control. Two of the guys in the band are Air Force pilots and graduates of VMI and The Citadel. Later in the night he approached both of them to share military academy camaraderie. He went on and on about how tough it was in the corp. They just smiled and nodded their heads as he blathered on. Later they said it wasn't the first time they had heard that nonsense. They thought both he and his camaraderie ramblings were full of shit.
  15. The new Silverado's have push button ignitions and it's possible to turn the vehicle off and leave it in drive. I did it once. Luckily I wasn't completely out of the truck before I realized it was rolling into the street.
  16. Swing that left arm up and back and send his "tra-la-la-la-la's" to his ribcage.
  17. A few years ago I was sitting in a courtroom in Sweetwater concerning a ticket. 81 in a 65 construction zone (with no construction anywhere). Same cop had pulled me over for the exact same speed 2 weeks before. He let me go with a warning the first time but was mega pissed the second. Anyway, there was a guy talking to the judge who I'm guessing worked the oil patch in Odessa. He got clocked at 105 mph in a 65. The DA asked him why he was driving 105. He replied he didn't know it was a 65 mph construction zone. Beyond pissed, she looked at him and said " Can you please tell me anywhere in the state the speed limit is 105 mph"? He said he wasn't sure.
  18. No. Some things are better left unsaid.
  19. We have two old cats, 19 & 17. Both are in pretty good shape but the 19 yo is deaf and half senile. No reason to put her down, she's just getting old. She has a hard time hitting the litter box and ends up peeing on the floor, so I got a plastic tray to put under the litter box. We add a pad and that takes care of most the problem. Occasionally we have to take it out in the back yard and rinse the tray off. The other day I came in and the tray was in the kitchen sink. I asked my wife why the hell was it there and not in the back yard. She said the back faucet was covered and she couldn't use it. I told her the cover comes off in 10 seconds, but even so, why didn't she just wash it off in the shower and not the sink. She said she bathes in the shower and didn't want to get it dirty with cat pee. I ask her if it made her feel any cleaner by washing it out in the sink we use to clean our cooking utensils, plates and silverware. Tone and silence.
  20. Don't think he blew it up before putting it over the muzzle. And yes this guy was scary badass. From what I gleaned from him, they would go and set markers at enemy fuel/supply sites. They had to stick around and help rescue a pilot if he was shot down. So when shit started exploding the Vietnamese knew they were still in the area and started looking for them. I gathered they used .22's because they were easy to silence and you could put a shot through someone eye at 75 yards without being heard. Maybe someone on here served there and could verify.
  21. A green beret I knew, who did some scary stuff in Vietnam, told me all you had to do was put a few drops of oil down the barrel and tape a balloon over the muzzle to silence one pretty well.
  22. Agree. But I'd bet they hurt themselves more when they fell and hit the concrete, than from those loopy, off balance punches.
  23. I'm with you Dale. I like the feel and flexibility of cash.
  24. I told my daughter it's going to save us a lot of money because we can just throw our cell phones away and talk/text through the network without them.
