I've been reading about Gabrielle Petito, the girl who disappeared after a cross country trip with her boyfriend. He refused to answer questions and lawyered up when ask about her disappearance. But I'm pretty sure I could get him to talk playing "This little piggy" like they did in Payback.
For what it's worth, years ago, a customer of mine used to work maintenance at the original park. He said some scary shit happened almost every day he worked there. He was not impressed with the owners, management or ride designs.
Yeah, if you wait to be the last one, you'll just end up landing on top of everyone who jumped before you. After this game it could be quite a few people and you would survive to watch more of this craptacular season.
Since the red circle on the map includes part of Texas............... A buddy of mine and I were in Knox City watching the Knox City Greyhounds play the Follett Panthers in 6 man football. It was homecoming and the Knox City side was packed, all 300 fans, so we sat on the Follett side. They had about 25 people there and we asked where Follett was located. The woman we were talking with raised her arm, stuck her finger in her armpit and said "We're in the armpit of Oklahoma". It was a memorable geography lesson.
We stayed there one time as a family. It's the only time I ever stacked furniture in front of the door of a motel room. And slept with a pistol on the nightstand.
I know a few "the world is coming to an end" survivalist people. One of him carries 3 handguns on him at all times and at least 3 rifles in his car. On the back of his baseball cap he has 2 lead weights with spikes on them. If he felt threatened enough, he would grab the brim of his cap and swing it, aiming for the eyes, with the intent of blinding said threat. I know this has nothing to do with this situation but I'll throw it out there as a PSA.
We have 25 forks in the silverware drawer. A full set of sterling silver in the China cabinet. A picnic basket with plasticware for 4 and a party box with plasticware for birthday parties. Unless the Amazing Kreskin comes back from the dead and bends all our forks I think we have it covered. Same with salt and pepper, ketchup and packets of mustard. I've got a refrigerator and cabinet full of that stuff. I don't need to have a drawer full of salt packets I'm never going to touch unless a 500 pound slug makes a beeline for the house.
Does she also save all the really cheap plastic forks and spoons from take out meals? Mine does. I guess it's just on case we run out of all the 2 completes sets of silverware we have laying around and can't wash anything.
