  1. I guess it's ok if he finds it amusing. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/urine-incontinence-boyfriend-peed-floor_n_665f3b49e4b061658ffa635c?utm_source=spotim&utm_medium=spotim_recirculation&spot_im_redirect_source=pitc
  2. I worked for a company that used to have a big open house for customers, in our Dallas warehouse. We would take bus loads of customers from Forth Worth and most everyone was wasted when they came home. On one trip, the head of corporate purchasing for Alcon Labs passed out and one of our salesman (equally drunk) thought it would be funny to put a little lipstick and perfume on the purchasing manager's shirt. Shenanigans did not ensue. The guys wife did not find it humorous and accused him of fooling around. So the next day, the manager demanded that said salesman be fired or the account closed. Money won and he lost his job. I guess it seemed funny at the time.
  3. Whenever I hear "Big Texan" I think about this lovely lass and her ability to disgust by watching her eat.

  5. When a tin foil hat is not enough.......
  6. LOL. It's the first time I went to one in 26 years. It took 1 minute inside for me to remember why.
  7. I probably have 40+ hats. A couple of them are 100+ years old. I think this pic was this one: https://www.delmonicohatter.com/product/IT221.htm
  8. Don't think it would have mattered. I'm pretty sure a fire wouldn't have budged most of the people we saw in the buffet line.
  9. I wish I would have got a wider shot. Friend had a birthday party at Golden Corral. There were 5 cars parked across the fire lane, blocking the whole thing
  10. I agree with this bigly.
  11. I didn't have one if these bikes but I did have the Mattel V-rrroom on mine. I'm sure it was annoying as hell but it was badass to a 8 year old.
  12. IDK. They worked pretty good for The A Team.
  13. Agreed. Most are really designed for discouragement or to slow someone down. And after having guns stolen in a break-in in '80, I wish we would have had something, anything. But if you search around you can find deals. A few years ago, I found a real UL listed safe on Craigslist. 1" plate steel body, 1 1/4" plate steel door. I got it for $400 because the guy couldn't move it. We figured it weighed over 4000 lbs because a regular 3500 lbs forklift couldn't lift it. It was a bitch to move. But unless you're a professional safe cracker, I'm pretty confident in it's protection rating.
  14. Last year, there was a big story about a safe company giving a backdoor access code to law enforcement to break into a safe that they had a warrant to access. If it has an electronic lock I think all they need is the serial number and proof of ownership to get it from the manufacturer. Also. A lot of the gun safes sold are really just security cabinets that are incredibly easy to break in to. Sometimes it's as simple as using a template to drill a hole in the door, pulling a couple of wires and hooking a 9 volt battery to them. Also if they don't care about the safe, they can lay it on its side and use a San Angelo bar to pry it open. If it's cheap enough you can use a fire ax to chop through the cheap, light gage metal. YouTube gun safe security and you can see how easy it is to get into most security "safes".
  15. That happened to us one time on I20 at Ranger. Hailstorm was pretty bad but there was no where to hide. Morons were parked under the bridge on I20 in the traffic lanes.
  16. Yeah, a few years ago I was at Academy looking for a CZ 75. All I got a 5 minute lecture on why I was making a mistake and needed to buy something else. He trained with police (he wasn't one) and said they were not any good. I guess all the military units (including 1st special services) and police forces that have them on their approved list are wrong.
  17. What the hell is wrong with people? How stupid can you be?
  18. If you leave the sound off he looks like he's singing "I have a structured settlement and I need cash now".

    Getting old sucks

I was going to start a new thread but since it's relevant to getting old, I'll put it here. When did you realize it was time to retire? I'm 64 and getting close. I don't have to retire and can work as long as I want, but motivation is waning. The things I want to do/accomplish appear to be out of reach because of a different vision from our owner. He's a great guy and the best boss I've ever had but we just see the future differently. The big thing that keeps me going right now is the fact that I work with my son and his future depends on our branch staying open. Right now there is no one (including him just because of our personalities) that could step into my role. I know I'm replaceable but I still think about it. I've been told that if you wait until you think you have enough money to retire, you never will. I've worked since I was 12. Mowing lawns and then warehouse work for my dad, etc. I've never been out of work for more than 3 weeks. That said, we should be ok financially. Anyway just wondered what finally motivated y'all to retire. Thanks!

  21. Not sure if this is dumbass or WTF? Home Garden seems to have an infatuation with Nina Hartley and amputee women. And I don't follow but it keeps popping up. Not sure if this is dumbass or WTF? 22. Yep. I paid $225 for my first one. Sold it at a gun show for $235 and thought I did ok. Then a couple of weeks later Bush signed the assault weapons ban and they jumped to $400+ overnight.
  23. We still have to write checks for property and auto taxes. The county adds a 4% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. I am an old fart in that even though I pay 99% of our bills with a credit card, I still balance the checking account. I want to know where my money is going and make sure everything is legit.

    Getting old sucks

We keep some of our bulky inventory in a conex. The only problem we have is when it's full and the item you need is in the back. I needed to get a box from the back yesterday but didn't feel like moving 4 pallets to get to it. So I decided I'd just jump on top of the pallets and crawl over them. The top of the pallet was about chest high. Wrong. I couldn't even get my waist to that level. Broken down shoulders with no strength anymore sucks.
