  1. Previews showed one last possible claim stake which will spice up the finale a bit. It looks like Turbo/Sydney are locks for the W.
  2. Wow, I truly did not expect that move. Safe travels Dubi! Sportsradio 790 was talking a lot about Myers being traded this morning, so maybe they're hearing something. There was nothing brought up about Dubi. DFA'd yesterday.
  3. I have been following Todd since around 2003 when my co-worker let me listen to Near Truths and Hotel Rooms shortly after he picked it up. Once I heard that CD and played it for my then wife, we were hooked. We started to see him any chance we could. We probably saw him 25 times. The most meaningful show to me was probably when we traveled to NYC to see him open for JJW at BB Kings. We saw him open for Prine in San Antonio. We saw him share the stage with South Austin Jug Band at Threadgills and various places around the state. The last time I saw him was the night before my then wife would find out some really terrible personal news and that was in December of 2018. This one has really hit me hard and I'm still in shock that this happened. I had a real bad feeling that he wasn't long for this world after Jerry Jeff, Prine and Buffet all passed around covid. Todd started really looking gaunt and you could see the sadness in his soul that his mentors were gone. I am hopeful he is at peace now and partying with his pals wherever that may be.
  4. this is great. he's up late raging about this.
  5. DMN saying Rangers hired Alex Cintron as a hitting coach. Guess we should expect them to regress this year.
  6. About a year ago, my parents were frustrated with AT&T and DirecTV, so I got them a Roku and put them on YTTV. They're in their late 70s and I had to help them convert their brains to use streaming, but YTTV was easy enough for them to comprehend it and finally got to the point where they didn't have to call me each week for assistance. Because of that, I put myself on their family plan (lol), for that reason, I won't be leaving it anytime soon. It works well for them to watch the stuff they want & sports when its not blacked out and I get it for free. I use the Library feature and watch shows every now and then such as the Daily Show, Colbert and occasionally some mindless shit like The Challenge on MTV. Other than sports though I rarely watch it live.
  7. That's true about other sports showing up, lacrosse, lol! Hulu is very rudimentary and so is the new ESPN version. No way to easily watch another game and no multiview. I think Google is trying to replace the major cable companies and knows it needs ESPN in its content, so it can hold out awhile until Disney caves. The PTFO show I linked earlier talks about Disney having locked in rates with cable providers that they don't want to have to renegotiate with if they give Google what it wants.
  8. Do you even know about DWTS or The Golden Bachelor, c'mon man! LOL!
  9. pretty good show yesterday by Pablo Torre on PTFO with the former head of ESPN. They discuss this and more and predict it'll be resolved before next Monday night's Cowboys game.
  10. very true, YTTV is the best and easiest to use interface of all of the cable tv type streaming apps. I've been using Disney/ESPN to watch our games the past few weeks and its ancient compared to YTTV.
  11. I've really enjoyed Theo this season. He's dumb af, but entertaining!
  12. Forgot to mention that Interstellar has Charro Beans as a free side if you ask for them. They were good and peppery with pork belly in them.
  13. Saw Silverada there shortly before the announcement that they were closing. The fact that Haute Spot owners bought Coupland seems like a net positive.
  14. Impromptu lunch at Interstellar BBQ this past week. By the time we got to the counter, Brisket and the special Polish sausage weres sold out, but we stayed in line and were blessed with some great smoked meats! We had Barbacoa Lamb Shank with salsa verde and chopped red pepper, man was that tasty! We tried both jalapeno popper sausage and the regular beef sausage and both were fantastic. Also had the pork ribes, which were a little spicy for my lady but there were cooked perfectly. The highlight though was the Peach Tea Glazed Pork Belly, damn, that was soo good! Sides were pretty good too, but I don't go to these places for sides.
  15. Any specific Spec’s with the Old Fitz?
