  1. *He'd keep us as one of the best short yardage teams in the country (sorry to be pedantic but we're already there)
  2. Zach Smith is actually the one that posted it. He was trying to post something that would smear Herman but it just made him look like more of a fool.
  3. At this point I think Alford has to be a take tbh. Otherwise we're relying on flips for a second safety and that's not a good place to be in. Eaton is high risk high reward, but we're in a great spot at CB so whiffing won't hurt us but hitting with him could be big.
  4. That was Bohls asking the Brewer that really cringey line of questions right?
  5. They think they would beat us by double digits Here are the teams A&M beat by double digits last year: NWST, ULM, Ole Miss, UAB, NC State
  6. I think LSU is basically it. If people are really going to die on this hill their entire argument basically comes down to LSU because King was sold on the SEC. The lack of blue bloods in King's recruitment wasn't weird because he wouldn't look at most of them and a lot of the good SEC schools had their QBs early. "bUt LoOk At HiS oFfErS" is a very aggy argument and generally just annoying
  7. I don't really buy that it's that easy to dump your QB. Usually they're one of the leaders in the class and one of the first to commit. Processing them is just asking for trouble. We wouldn't have dumped Card for JQJ and next year we won't dump Milroe right before the season if a 5* QB were available.
  8. This is my favorite one. He and Dicko were great in 2017.
  9. Suchomel thinks we add a couple more commitments in the next week or so
  10. Wow. That Brauninger post is timestamped at 3:32. BC dropped the shh at 2:43. That man actually said Princely was trending to aggy after he had committed to Texas.
  11. Princely, Collins, Jordan, Alford, Eaton, and Johnston brings the class to 281.30 composite score. That's about 6 points behind our score last year and leaves a couple spots for LVBS/Hester and this mythical 'high school linebacker' you mention. Adding LVBS and Josh White would be 286.96. My rule of thumb is that a score of 285+ is a great class. It generally lands you in the top 5 or right outside of it (that's how it looks this year). 300 is excellent, top 3ish level, and can be a foundation for a championship (our 2018 class was 300.06). Regularly scoring 285 while hitting 300 every couple years should be plenty to win a lot of games i.e. compete for the conference and playoffs annually with credible championship aspirations every couple years.
  12. I was going to post I really like Campbell. I don't know much about Johnson's recruitment, but it seems like getting any 2 of those 3 would be great. Getting 1 of the three would set up nicely for a good class depending on who the other take is.
  13. I'm glad we have the talent at WR to demand blocking. I think it's really underrated. Duvernay is quite good at it and Collin has improved a lot as well. He made some big blocks on LJH and Ingram TDs. It's nice that we can sit a guy for not blocking well and still have a quality receiving option take his snaps.
  14. Even if they don't fire Malzahn, it only takes one bagman getting upset to stop making payments or pull a job offer. From Godfrey's article: It's also how lame duck coaching staffs are created. If a majority of bag men want a particular coach out and an A.D. or president won't make a move, they'll just dry up funds. "The coach won't know exactly when we decide to make that happen, but they've got a good idea. Then we get to see just how damn good a recruiter he really is. I know one of our guys once stopped putting in big bucks, way more than what I do, just because a head coach cussed too much on the team plane. [The coach] was losing anyway, but because he took the Lord's name in vain, that guy was offended by his morality and stopped illegally paying college football players."
  15. Depends on the season imo. If the boosters want Malzahn gone, they could easily decide to pull the plug on his recruiting. Even if he isn't fired they could end up crippling him to keep him on the hot seat.
  16. So in the second scenario from that last picture, the guy thinks that the A&M staff will invite kids to visit with the intention of giving them the cold shoulder once they're on campus. Instead of just being straightforward and honest. Sounds like a dick move.
  17. Same concept as boxing. Gloves protect the hands, not the face. There are less injuries in bare-knuckle boxing.
  18. Eaton visits and delays decision Pouncey commits Eaton commits to A&M I don't think that timeline is coincidental
