  1. I think Latrell Neville may have committed over the weekend.
  2. Some Anwar Richardson practice notes. I'm skeptical of several parts, like calling Johnson and Epps fast. I wonder what's going on with Anthony Cook. I also wonder if Duvernay has been moved to slot because they think Eagles would win the Z spot in a position battle. We know the staff likes to play vets unless absolutely forced not to. If (this is a big if and not something I think will happen) Smith/Moore and Eagles are both demonstrably better than Duvernay in games then I wonder how the staff would handle it.
  3. I generally find the way this thread talks about the QB/RB run thing really annoying, but the first paragraph here is right. Aggies obviously butcher the whole thing, but the point is that Sam had 16/24 rushing TDs last year. He had three times as many as Ingram and Watson combined. It’s not about carries or yards. The teams we’re fighting for top RBs are talking to them about Heismans and the NFL draft and then pointing out a truth about Herman: a fundamental part of his offensive philosophy is running the QB with the RB as a lead blocker in order to create a numbers advantage. In important moments, that’s Herman’s bread and butter. He’s not going to change that for recruiting. He’ll call whatever plays give us the best chance to put points on the board. For now that means RBs are more likely to block than to get a designed run in short distance and goal line situations As our OL and RB talent improves, the problem will go away but until then that pitch will be used against us. It’s an easy enough pitch to counter. Bijan shows they can use Zeke Elliot effectively. Herman also knows that he needs to protect Sam so I expect RB red zone carries to go up in non-important games. (Side note: using RPOs instead of zone reads is also a smart adjustment.) But until we see better production from RBs we’re going to hear about it. Also I haven’t forgotten about D’Onta Foreman. But in the same way that we talk about poor draft results not being Herman’s doing, neither was D’Onta.
  4. Until Eaton/Jimbo/Princely release a joint statement denying it, there's no way to know whether the post I just made up is true or not.
  5. Probably wasn't the sole reason. There were probably many thousands.
  6. Damn his dad fucked him over Then again how could we ever compete with this illustrious list of Auburn Safeties and Linebackers drafted in the last decade: Deshaun Davis (2019 6th round) Rudy Ford (2017 6th round) Corey Lemonier (2013 3rd round) Auburn was clearly the better choice for his development
  7. I can't believe anybody would believe that volleyball story lol They were actually playing water basketball. Eaton threw an alley oop to Princely, who ended up violently t-bagging Jimbo while finishing the oop.
  8. I agree but the funny thing is that Ingram says he was highly disappointed in last year
  9. Counterpoint: Boyce has picks last year too. Yet he sucked and might have already been passed up by 4 guys younger than him.
  10. So Luke Brockermeyer enrolled in June 2018. Does anybody know the specifics about the earliest we can put him on scholarship and avoid putting him on the counter? Could we do it after the 2019 season ends or is it two years after he enrolls?
  11. If we finish with this class in the top 5 that will be pretty incredible considering the classes Clemson, Bama, LSU, tOSU, and UGA are putting together. Last year was a down year at the top of the rankings but this year seems like there are a ton of great classes.
  12. Also A&M is at 8 and OU is at 13. We could/should pass both within a week.
  13. I’m very skeptical that Harris will be an ILB. He already plays 3-4 OLB in HS. There’s some clips of him playing DE (upright) in their 4 man fronts. His tape is a lot of pass rushing, setting the edge, and crashing down on runs. There’s no moving sideline to sideline, navigating traffic in the middle of the field, or covering RB routes. His hudl says 6’ 2” 220lbs but he’s still really narrow and will fill out a lot. His listed 40 time is 4.58 which might be good enough for Mac. I guess I’m fine with the take but he looks more like a future BLB or even a DE than an ILB.
  14. IP ban everybody with less than 1162 posts
  15. Vernon Jackson might not play football again due to a neck injury. I assume the jumbo ath DL you're referring to.
  16. A) It's not. I actually hadn't heard about the job thing until it popped up on this board a couple days ago. No clue if it's true. B) And if the job was given with the intent of getting him to play for UGA it would be a violation.
  17. So many straw men being built in this thread. The good posters here didn’t complain about bagmen for Kimber or Lindberg. There’s a reason we’re saying that for Ringo.
  18. College Station is a great town! It's so much better than Austin! --Aggie that doesn't live in College Station
  19. That's him Everyone said we were a strong favorite when we offered. Then we backed off with other guys on the board. He's been an A&M lean since. But now that we've missed on those guys we're circling back.
