  1. That's great but I don't think this board is disillusioned about our offense last year. It was solid--at times really good--but needs to be better. LSU's offense has been good at times but not on a year-to-year basis.
  2. Lol dude he's agreeing with you that LSU has had good receivers. It's the inability to consistently put together good offenses in spite of that talent that implies a level of waste. And this is coming from Texas fans. We know waste.
  3. To clarify my other post, I don't think CJ will be an early pick. People were saying that bigger receivers go 4th to 7th round and I think that he'll go towards the front of that range. I think he has a higher floor that a lot of other big receivers because he actually uses his length at an elite level already. I get the Lazard comparison, but I think CJ showed a better ability to high-point balls, use his catch radius, and win 50/50s than Lazard did. That's why they're viewed differently as prospects even though they have a similar physical profile and Lazard had better stats. Also I think his knee injury was more serious than the staff let on so I hope he stays healthy next year.
  4. I also think CJ will be limited by his 40, but I also think that he shows a lot more on tape than a lot of other big receivers so he should go on the upper spectrum of where those types of receivers go. Like he'll be one of the first big guys off the board even if it's in the later rounds. I also think Collin showed some speed more often this past year than before, so let's see if he shows at least decent speed more often. His after the catch ability also
  5. Interested to see if that one guy still thinks the draft won't matter to Ringo now that UGA has the 1st round Baker vs. 7th round Boyd contrast to sell on top of the draft pitch they already had. The draft is a pitch our coaches are going to have to fight constantly. Hopefully with all the practice they'll get pretty good at countering it. The obvious spin is selling how successful the team was even without elite players, but that's only a start
  6. DeAndre Baker has a good shot at the first round tonight
  7. Actually it might have been Demetric Warren not the LSU mod. I'm not sure, but still.
  8. There's been 2 UNC CBs come in for Hornsby, one from an LSU mod and one from Brewster's son.
  9. Rivals fluff piece about Ringo's trip to UGA. INB4 bEsT FoOtBaLl In tHe NaTiOn. It isn't mentioned here, but the one big thing that UGA can really beat us on (besides bagmen) is the draft. Since his first trip to Austin that has been his biggest hesitation with us. It's not looking like Boyd is going to help us out with it either. I still think we win out in the end. Hopefully Bryant Westbrook can help us out with the NFL pitch and Green/Cook look good this year.
  10. Running May 4 List: OV: Princely Umanmielen* , Vernon Broughton, Chad Lindberg, Chris Thompson, Logan Parr, Jake Majors, Jaylen Garth*, Jahquez Robinson UOV: Mookie Cooper, Zach Evans*
  11. I'm going to try to keep a running list going: OV: Princely Umanmielen , Vernon Broughton, Chad Lindberg, Chris Thompson UOV: Mookie Cooper, Zach Evans I'm sure there are others; those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head
  12. This is how I've been doing it... phlegm put me over the edge yesterday.
  13. I mean, for the player, it is better to be a priority UDFA than a 7th round pick. Total salary is comparable to being a seventh round pick and you can get a larger signing bonus. Most importantly though you can choose the team that gives you the best chance to make the roster, which is really the biggest financial consideration. But yeah, for recruiting and prestige, draft numbers are more important.
  14. The buyout does decrease each month though and will match the current buyout during the 2020 season and continue dropping to $4mm. That about lines up with the idea that he has two years to put it together.
  15. I still feel good about Washington. We've got the last visit.
  16. I know. It would be hilarious if it did happen though.
  17. If Urban actually went to A&M it would add an entire new level to Urban vs. Herman
  18. Damn that's the most negative and real thing I've ever seen from him
  19. The national Rivals reporter that posted about the OV had this to say: "The Longhorns have done a nice job generating serious interest from a few top prospects in the Mid-Atlantic. Sherman (along with 5-star RB MarShawn Lloyd) is pretty high on Texas and he's excited to get a closer look at the program. With that being said, Georgia is the favorite here with Ohio State not far behind but they don't have an insurmountable lead. LSU, Florida, and Texas clearly have ground to make up but I won't rule any of these schools out right now."
  20. Washington's news is he's down to us and OU
  21. Rivals says we're getting an OV from this 5* LB on May 31st https://247sports.com/Player/Mekhail-Sherman-46043181/ Suchomel said it was out of the blue to him and he was going to look around and see what's up lol
  22. Suchomel had these comments on it: Sounds like a top schools list or all star game or something
  23. Personally I wouldn't bring in a kid for a concert if he won't take an official later
  24. That JMBLYA weekend is going to make-or-break in a lot of ways. It's pretty early to burn OVs for guys making late summer decisions, but it also has a ton of obvious potential. May the 4th be with us.
