As someone that used to scoff at Braun redshirting, it's not a terrible idea. Center in 2020 appears to be a bigger need than Guard in 2019.
I still would rather him play this year because single plays can have huge long-term impacts in CFB, but I won't be upset if he does redshirt.
So Broughton has been covered a lot already, but he's definitely saying something at the Rivals camp. Writers for the A&M, Tech, and Arkansas sites as well as the Texas regional guy have put in their versions of CBs for him to A&M. Suchomel is saying that he isn't a silent but that "it's going to have to be a family decision if it's Texas"
I know CTJ mentioned it, but it'll be interesting to see if there is any fallout from the Jimbo/FSU article. OU immediately hammered us with the Chip Brown piece and stole Bonnitto and almost Adeoye. I'm hoping we can pull at least one Hookfin-eque steal with it. 2.89 isn't a great GPA, but it's solid all things considered. Certainly no where close to getting sanctioned for lack of performance. I went back and found what I could about A&M's performance (mainly # of honor roll players) and we outperform them in those areas.
So their theory is that Matt Hayes came down to Texas on the 18th. Herman asked him to write a hit piece on Jimbo and he agreed. Then within a single week, Hayes came up with the idea for the article, interviewed a bunch of people, and wrote the thing?
I guess they just don't pay any attention to the fact that the article says it reached out to Jimbo in May. Or they think that Hayes spent months spent months writing a piece on Jimbo just so that he could visit with Herman on a random Tuesday in the middle of summer with no practice going on.
Just the first of many reasons their logic is really dumb all the way around.
I'm not sure if you realize what you've done. 2 pages of draft talk incoming.
I'll summarize my thoughts as shortly as possible: CJ 2-5, BJ 3-5, Duvernay 5-UFA, Shack 4-7
That's from McComas. He also had this: "Quay Davis said Texas feels like home, and he’s working on making the Dallas movement strong. Get the sense a lot of these young Dallas prospects have a lot of state pride."
To be fair, the smoke was more than just Mizzou's staff. Washington decommitted to Herman but BC talked him into staying. Hence:
Sorry to nitpick you, just another data point about BC's value. I had been thinking about posting the tweet and this kind of reminded me.
Wiltfong's exact quote lol
"Top247 in-state defensive backs in Jahari Rogers and Kitan Crawford have an eye on the SEC with Rogers feeling Florida and Crawford Tennessee. Tom Herman and his staff get their chance this weekend to change the dynamic of those recruitments"
