  1. Well, I'm not going to complain about having a really good guard ready to go for our playoff aspirations in 2020, but we might need him more this year.
  2. I don't think he's reclassifying but he is eligible this fall. Also, he's Jacoby Jones's teammate. Here's a writeup from Suchomel. Sounds like we might hvae lucked our way into another LB.
  3. It lines up with what OB said. The final OV is between OU, A&M, and Arkansas, and it'll probably be OU. The Broughton recruitment really seems like one we will win, but I can't help but shake all the stuff about there being some shadiness in that one.
  4. There were parts of that transcript that I just couldn't understand. Like why would choose those words to say? It doesn't really make sense. So for the first time I listened to the podcast to see if it sounds better than it reads. It doesn't. Somehow, these transcripts are much more coherent than what he actually says. Also, props because it was really accurate.
  5. Interesting that Roach is saying A&M will get an official from Broughton. OB said his OVs were probably going to be Bama, LSU, OU, and tOSU. I'd like that much better lol.
  6. Suchomel put out a blurb that it was a good update for Lindberg (dad's first time on a recruiting visit) but that he is still going to take all 5 visits, including LSU and UGA in June
  7. Pretty incredible update from OB. Hope to god it works out.
  8. Getting to play OU twice is a good start. Dude balls against them.
  9. This hurts their chances with DJ
  10. Rivals: R100 DL Broughton recaps UT spring game, previews OV
  11. Yeah they're not saying he wasn't a take, but that he may have flipped to play defense for Bama rather than OU
  12. On the Drew Sanders r/CFB thread people are saying that Sanders wants to play LB instead of TE now and that may have something to do with the flip
  13. That's great but I don't think this board is disillusioned about our offense last year. It was solid--at times really good--but needs to be better. LSU's offense has been good at times but not on a year-to-year basis.
  14. Lol dude he's agreeing with you that LSU has had good receivers. It's the inability to consistently put together good offenses in spite of that talent that implies a level of waste. And this is coming from Texas fans. We know waste.
  15. To clarify my other post, I don't think CJ will be an early pick. People were saying that bigger receivers go 4th to 7th round and I think that he'll go towards the front of that range. I think he has a higher floor that a lot of other big receivers because he actually uses his length at an elite level already. I get the Lazard comparison, but I think CJ showed a better ability to high-point balls, use his catch radius, and win 50/50s than Lazard did. That's why they're viewed differently as prospects even though they have a similar physical profile and Lazard had better stats. Also I think his knee injury was more serious than the staff let on so I hope he stays healthy next year.
  16. I also think CJ will be limited by his 40, but I also think that he shows a lot more on tape than a lot of other big receivers so he should go on the upper spectrum of where those types of receivers go. Like he'll be one of the first big guys off the board even if it's in the later rounds. I also think Collin showed some speed more often this past year than before, so let's see if he shows at least decent speed more often. His after the catch ability also
  17. Interested to see if that one guy still thinks the draft won't matter to Ringo now that UGA has the 1st round Baker vs. 7th round Boyd contrast to sell on top of the draft pitch they already had. The draft is a pitch our coaches are going to have to fight constantly. Hopefully with all the practice they'll get pretty good at countering it. The obvious spin is selling how successful the team was even without elite players, but that's only a start
  18. DeAndre Baker has a good shot at the first round tonight
  19. Actually it might have been Demetric Warren not the LSU mod. I'm not sure, but still.
  20. There's been 2 UNC CBs come in for Hornsby, one from an LSU mod and one from Brewster's son.
  21. Rivals fluff piece about Ringo's trip to UGA. INB4 bEsT FoOtBaLl In tHe NaTiOn. It isn't mentioned here, but the one big thing that UGA can really beat us on (besides bagmen) is the draft. Since his first trip to Austin that has been his biggest hesitation with us. It's not looking like Boyd is going to help us out with it either. I still think we win out in the end. Hopefully Bryant Westbrook can help us out with the NFL pitch and Green/Cook look good this year.
  22. Running May 4 List: OV: Princely Umanmielen* , Vernon Broughton, Chad Lindberg, Chris Thompson, Logan Parr, Jake Majors, Jaylen Garth*, Jahquez Robinson UOV: Mookie Cooper, Zach Evans*
  23. I'm going to try to keep a running list going: OV: Princely Umanmielen , Vernon Broughton, Chad Lindberg, Chris Thompson UOV: Mookie Cooper, Zach Evans I'm sure there are others; those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head
  24. This is how I've been doing it... phlegm put me over the edge yesterday.
  25. I mean, for the player, it is better to be a priority UDFA than a 7th round pick. Total salary is comparable to being a seventh round pick and you can get a larger signing bonus. Most importantly though you can choose the team that gives you the best chance to make the roster, which is really the biggest financial consideration. But yeah, for recruiting and prestige, draft numbers are more important.
