  1. Hey man, all I said is that it can be a double edged sword. That implies it can be good and bad. I'm not saying it's terrible, just that it isn't some golden ticket for every recruit. Since you mentioned it, I looked up who else was visiting that weekend and according to 247 it was Leal, NaNa, Tyler Johnson, Derek Stingley Jr., Brayden Liebrock, and Makiya Tongue. Johnson and Liebrock did commit within several weeks so it probably helped close them.
  2. The Leal visit was more of a throwaway. We were desperate and the concert was a hail mary. I don't think there was much we could have done there. The doing it properly part more applied to Nana. He's more of a serious type and I've heard he didn't like it all that much. In regards to the first visit part of my comment, I'm just kind of following the line of thinking Herman has shared. He talks about how gameday visits are hard because it's less time to spend with a kid so I assume similar logic would apply for a music festival. But then again, maybe JMBLYA is a way in that kicks off a relationship they can build on afterward. All I'm saying is that it has the potential to be something really unique that we do for some of our top guys each year, like the pool party we do in the summer. Year 1 it didn't yield results.
  3. Looking at our class last year, here are the dates of the first visits for the Cali guys: DGF: February 18 Adimora: April 24 Bru: April 28 (w/ DGF, who was already committed) We've still got time for Flowe/Wilson, but the clock is ticking. I feel good about getting Wilson on campus at some point, but less so for Flowe. This has been my thinking, but I think JMBLYA is a double edged sword, especially on first visits when the coaching staff wants as much face time with the guys as possible. Last year we used it for the desparation Leal OV and for Nana Osafa-Mensah, which was just a bad call by the staff. It's got a lot of potential to be a big event for us but only when done properly.
  4. Jalen Green, Anthony Cook, D'Shawn Jamison
  5. Per OB, his brother is out of town this weekend so if he goes anywhere he would have to get a ride with someone. I think the most likely would be Bama with Damieon George but I haven't seen that that's happening.
  6. I like how they know him well enough to say BC and everybody knows who they're talking about I wouldn't have known who LK was and I don't know even know the name of their new guy
  7. Washington told OB he's not going to the OU spring game anymore
  8. Hmm he didn't include Broughton
  9. How are they going to put together an all-time great OL class if all the guys they don't lead for drop?
  10. There are a ton of angry Sooners replying to BC
  11. I assume it's about Bryson Washington or maybe Lathan Ransom. I'm fine with OU using their OV this early for Washington though.
  12. What? It says he did participate
  13. Arky has the CBs but idk anything beyond that. It'd be hilarious if we sweep our OL targets and then Crawford and Hayes go to Arkansas.
  14. It's going to be hilarious if they miss on Hayes and Crawford
  15. Yeah Herman's kind of up there if we're being honest. I also don't really think paying guys is slimy.
  16. Washington is worth monitoring. Ringo isn't going to OU and we haven't had Ransom on campus yet or else they would be too.
  17. Poona has spoken
  18. Maybe since Broughton/Collins love Giles and see him more as a friend/brother/uncle/dad than a coach, maybe they can take him to the aggie spring game as a +1 and he can make sure they make it to ours.
  19. Or maybe he'll end up with a flat tire in the morning but get it repaired by that night
  20. OB scrimmage notes
  21. That was my first thought when I saw the news. There's no cure for stenosis, so if it's bad enough to keep him out now, it won't improve later. I guess it's worth monitoring but I'm not sure what would have to change to clear him later. Really sucks for everyone, especially De'Gabriel.
  22. Jones that low and McCoy above Cosmi are crazy My version (projections for 2019) Offense: Collin, Sam, Cosmi, Braun, Ingram, Duvernay, Shack, Moore, Kerstetter, Okafor, Brewer Defense: Jones, Foster, Sterns, Ossai, Cook, Roach, Graham, Wilbon, Green, McCulloch, Adeoye
  23. There's been buzz about Buzz since before the tourney. It wasn't because of Tech.
  24. They say we live in the past, but their graphics team is stuck in the mid 2000s.
