  1. The fact they think they’re better than Vanderbilt in baseball, fellow SEC and all, summarizes their delusion.
  2. Seriously. It looks like someone has been grudge fucking his prolapsed eye sockets, and that’s apparently another one of Jimbos kinks.
  3. I’ve known a few husker fans back in the day, but only one who actually attended classes in Lincoln. He moved here with his mullet firmly intact, lost his drivers license after his 4th DWI and was relegated to riding a bicycle to work. Mullet locks flowing and the smell of goldschlager on his breath while pedaling down Lamar, he is what I think of every time I think of “husker fan.” that and his stories about basements and rolling giant joints out of Omaha ditch hemp only to get a massive migraine, because they were too far from Mexico and it looked like it would get you high. Not sure what their license plates look like but I imagine they say something like “Nebraska, too stupid to move”
  4. I went to the TxState game at aggy 2 years ago as a guest of some friends (long story) and the crowd was slow to arrive, never filled above 65-70% and were quick to leave. It was loud as shit at one point with about half the stadium empty because they pipe in fan noise over the speakers. I started paying attention to the noise level and general fan apathy at certain points and am 100% certain that was the case. Now I understand it was legal to fake crowd noise in 2020 due to limited/no crowds, but I thought it was illegal to do that previously. It was absurdly loud and certainly distracting for TxSt, lending to the mysticism of the tackle box. Fortunately they refrained from playing sandstorm. I recall an opposing coach a few years ago (think it was Mullen) making a snarky comment about how loud the crowd noise was, calling them out without actually calling it fake.
  5. 5 P5 and 3 at large with a limit of 2 from a conference is probably the best solution since schedules are so unbalanced. Then it doesn’t matter what the SEC does, if they get an artificially inflated team in at large, they will get exposed before winning 3 games and the myth will slowly die. The big problem now is it’s a free for all for the top 4 spots and whatever it asks to grab one of those spots. The SEC has designed a system to exploit that at the fans expense, seriously, nearly half the conference only play one another once every 7 years.
  6. I would think somewhere between 99.999 and 99.9999% would be more accurate. Maybe I’m decimal challenged but it would seem aggy is effectively saying there’s only around 8 people in the world who would have the chance to make millions in their early 20’s.
  7. Bama needs to go down so the myth can die along with them, you really can’t discern a lot from the OOC schedule with 1/4 of their schedule loaded with Mercers and Kent Sts. the one game they all play consists of UT, Miami, Pedo, Clemson 2x, FSU, Stanford, UCLA, NC St, Colorado, BC, Pitt, and Louisville x2 1 B1G, 1 B12, 3 PAC, and 9 ACC So we will have a fair idea of how the SEC stacks up against the shitty ACC plus Clemson, and that the PAC still sucks.
  8. If Sark said “I’m hiring Art Briles and I will keep his bullshitshit in check, because I’m hiring the best possible staff I can put together” I would be more ok than him trying to hire Mike Stoops. That’s just fucking disturbing. And to think he let a guy go who is still under contract, who showed promise as a coach and was starting to show some recruiting chops? Only to try and bring in a complete asshole like Mike? We are trying to find our way out of the Sahara and they guy leading us has a broken fucking compass.
  9. The wagon is going to end up crashed into a ditch, like catching a ride to an AA meeting with Nick Nolte and Bobby Brown with Charlie Sheen driving. Hope we can recruit some high end talent over the next few cycles then warm the Urban thread back up in 2023. If he goes through with it, hiring an asshole fuckup loser like the regarded Stoops does not instill confidence that Sark has turned the corner and learned how to be a great HC.
  10. We learned that “retiring” is his way of getting out of a spiral and that he will be back coaching college again in ~4 years after he flames out of the NFL.
  11. What’s underrated is how hard it is to go undefeated in a season. This was Sabans 2nd undefeated season ever, he now joins that very exclusive club. There are many other famous names who caught lightning in a bottle and did it once. Osborne did it 3 times, dick muncher at OU did it 4, rapey McJoePa did it 5, Gil Dobie did it 11 times. csb, my great grandfather is on that list.
  12. Evers is gone, time to adjust to that reality. They are playing for the MNC next week and they will be competing for MNCs for the next sever years at the least, we are still hoping to get back to that level.
  13. No this guys theory is: Urban looked under the hood at state of recruiting and decided we weren’t ready. Part of his agreement is we hire Sark who gets Tosh and others to stack talent while Urban gives the NFL a try at Jacksonville for a few years. Bonus is it screws with Bama and derails Sabans final MNC season. Once Sark gets the roster and recruiting in order and Urban can’t take all the losing in the NFL, he slides into the perfect scenario at UT in 2023. This puts him on a similar but better trajectory than Saban and he enjoys a multi year run at the very top, wins 4 MNCs in 5 years and leaves Saban in his dust as the GOAT. Urban 2023, it’s happening!!! Urban 2023, it’s happening!!!
  14. That’s not how it works though. Yes, wins/losses does equal .500 but teams that finish above .500 is a different thing altogether. Just take a 10 team conference for example, if say Kansas goes winless, it’s possible that 90% of the conference can finish above .500 in round robin play. All 9 other teams split games and go 4-4 with their 5th win being Kansas. The SEC outside Bama was very mediocre this year. UF, UGA and aggy did ok against an atrocious rest of the conference.
  15. Big donors shooting for the stars in both cases, that’s about where the similarities end.
  16. Mack wasn’t the only wrench in the works but he played a big role. I don’t intend to dox myself or name drop; but @immamac can pm me and vet it out if he wants.
  17. You are wrong about Saban, that deal was close.
  18. This^^ Does anyone doubt the value of the richest brand if we were on a Bama dynasty run? Make an offer too outrageous to dismiss for the top 3 coaches in CFB. That’s what should have happened after Strong, go big enough that one of them has to take the deal. Alternatively, I would take the job for 2M with an assistant pool of 4m each to poach venables and Sark, and another 10M for position and support. $20M/yr with the money to get the best coaches in the game. Of course it would need to be part time on my end so I can keep my day job, but I think this could work.
  19. Florida recruiting = Texas recruiting, as in the states respectively put out the same number of 3/4/5 stars every year. Easier path is the only one, they have UGA and LSU is their cross rival, then Bama if they make the CCG. That’s a pretty tough slate these days.
  20. this place will rival the ground floor of Chernobyl reactor 4 circa 1986 when Hermanizer returns but loses his coordinators after Urban poaches them for his perfect, perfect gig.
  21. ATT makes it sound like it’s all the “local affiliate” fault. “the owner of this channel has removed it from u-verse. We asked them to keep it on air, we share your frustration and want to bring it back” poor ATT
  22. Ron Whites bit on the Pasadena paper mill is gold
  23. You really should throw in some new content based off all the latest, it could become some of your greatest work ever. I would be willing drop some info and let blacklab or immamc vet their worthlessness.
  24. Talk about a program going off the rails in spectacular fashion. coach befitting of a program, they should go down the drain together. No doubt he will go rehab under Saban for a few years then get back in the saddle at a lower tier program, but thankfully he won’t be our coach.
