  1. Maybe so, just get that feeling about this game dont forget, WV are great bedshitters
  2. Just have a feeling WV will be hung over and TCU has the best pass defense in B12. They beat ISU 17-14 and lost to tech 14-17. I think they win this game in that sort of fashion.
  3. I think TCU beats hillbilly tomorrow. I know TCU sucks this year but they still play good defense and have better personnel to do what ISU did. WV overrated, Sills and Grier can go fuck each other after a moonshine bender.
  4. put him up against the tulsas and Texas states of the world and I bet he would have been very dominant.
  5. I think the NFL does a fairly good job evaluating talent along the fringes. A lot of guys come from some southwestern middle state college that most people couldn't place on a map.
  6. I think more of a particular LionSteel knife. Excellent grade blade steel, glass breaker that works extremely well, and an o2 wrench that not only does as designed but also works as a great bottle opener and a wave opening function of the folder.
  7. I would much rather play 11, 15 and 16 than play 22, NR and NR
  8. Titans HC should be on the list somewhere around 4
  9. I've seen every game he has played in HS and he's a rare breed of talent that comes along every few years. Some of them peak in HS, some continue to grow and peak in college, some keep going. Don't know if he has hit the wall yet but I would guess he will be great in college But he puts on a show against the highest level of competition in the state. Last year after Baldwin went down in the opening series against Allen in the finals he made jaw dropping catches that made card look like a better QB than he is, and he shut down wease playing man against him. He is definitely all in on tOSU, but that program can burn to the ground on a giant pile of couches and the world would be better for it
  10. This exactly. No one cares about the jackasses who are winning, unless they are winning too much and everyone is jealous. And the winners are usually jackasses. I would rather have a jackass who wins than clay Helton or mark richt, or "insert name here". But you do have to win big, otherwise you are bo pellini, fat bastard belemia, list is long.
  11. Agree. WV has 3 very losable games left, the hardest schedule remaining. I will not be surprised to see this years shitty TCU beat them. I think he will copy ISU blueprint much better than we did, but can they score some points? @ OSU depends on which of their teams shows up. And OU is more than capable of beating them. OU rolls into the WV game easily. I don't think they can play enough defense to stop Grier but they could outscore them, no doubt. ISU has the easiest remaining schedule and easiest path of "needing help" group. They have to beat us and not go to sleep and they are in a good position since They only need WV to lose 1. This is the more likely scenario and their only realistic path in We have 2 really tough games left and if we win the next 2 then we better not sleep on KU. Game there on a Friday night after thanksgiving. Teams propensity to play down to the level, their high +turnover margin, Herman losing to shitty teams in his past. WV beating OU or losing 2 are both very conceivable. We have paths regardless of WV/OU outcome, but a hard road and several moving parts
  12. He's still the shiny new $75M toy that gives them hope since he's only one of 2 MNC winning coaches in the SECW. The losses will accrue, the shine will wear off, and at that point aggy will slowly realize they still have 6 more years $45M left to pay. By year 5 the roster will have lots of talent but huge, glaring holes at key positions. B/CS police will be working overtime to keep things under wraps, but without doing better than 3rd in the west you will start to see arrests happen. Year 6 and they start raising money for the buyout, they lower admission standards to "sign name here" and add several man camps for portable classrooms. Baggins builds a massive defensible residence modeled after Huntsville to keep the passionate fans from burning crosses in his yard. It's aggy, what did you expect? Year 7 they fall short of buyout, "just wait until next season, 2025 is the year we finally get rid of bilbo!" By this time Baggins has checked out and only flys in for a gameday cameo Farm animals within a 50 mile radius seek the best hiding spots available Year 8 aggy finally becomes Arkansas, 2 years ahead of schedule.
  13. All of this. ISU showed exactly how to stop a high power passing attack in the B12, and they did it very well. The job of the 3 linemen is to try and force double teams while clogging gaps. Your LBs jobs are to plug remaining gaps and/or stay free to cover the edges. It's trying to disrupt the offensive plan of getting OL out to the 2nd level where they can block the LBs and any other defenders moving into the box. We are undersized and underweight on the DL and not forcing double teams and holding ground. This frees up their linemen to execute their jobs and get to the 2nd line of defense, then you get gashed through the holes they open. The basis for this defense is to clog up the gaps and force the runs to the outside where you have your secondary in coverage charge in once they read the run bounced out. It gives you numbers in the passing game and numbers on the edges in the run game if you can successfully take away the middle. Go watch how ISU completely clogged the gaps with 3DL and 2LBs and the guys come flying in from the sides to make plays on the edge On pass plays they have guys forcing double teams and it's leaving rushers free to get to Grier. ISU has guys more well suited for this defense, big ass DL and smaller, quick LBs All said, I think this is our base defense (and the best for most of the teams we play) and that's what they are going to practice and recruit for. We should see an emphasis on more large DEs and nose guys but they will need time in S&C and learning the system. This is going to be a lot more of a process than any of us had hoped for particularly since it relies heavily on guys we severely lack and who need a couple years to mature once they are here.
  14. I agree go after Tee with the money truck. Or try to get them both, make Beatty an analyst. Time to start making moves and spending some of that money on recruiters and football minds to keep up with the top teams. Want to compete at the highest level? Bama, tOSU, Clemson... you need to do business in similar fashion. I know we have some of these guys already but I'm saying upgrade to the best available. Look at all the guys Bama has brought in over the past several years, it's a who's who of coaches taking on analyst roles while they reposition. It's one area where a high profile program with lots of money can get a huge advantage that's still within the lines.
  15. WV had substituted and we were slow playing our substitution with the clock running. Didn't see the number, but our DL guy was slow jogging off the field, everyone was watching him go. Ref was standing over the ball waiting for him to exit the field while the clock was running down. WV was all tantrum over the clock running with ref standing over the ball. it looked like an intentional way to keep clock running by our staff, started to look like they might have to burn a time out. It looked like our staff was more focused on making sure our guy was leaving the field slow enough to keep burning clock but fast enough to keep it running. Once the ref set the ball WV went fast and we weren't set. The whole thing seemed really clear to me in real time and I thought they might call a TO or that we were fucked. On another note, when we scored our last TD with the time remaining, I told Mrs Fidy that we need to go for 2 though there's no way we will. I had no confidence in the defense holding and felt the would go for the win.
  16. Their remaining games are rapey, UT and KSU, then incarnate word if they don't make CCG they likely beat Baylor and KSU, so it's down to beating us and WVU dropping a game They don't control their destiny but are in the best position of the needing help teams We have to win out and hope for a WV win against OU or for WV to drop 2 games They need to win out with an easier schedule and hope for WV to drop 1.
  17. Unless ISU wins out and mobilehoma beats WV
  18. Nope. You can head over to the coaches poll for that
  19. I've been trying to watch WSU play, they are fun to watch though last night was a little boring for them. Menschew is really good, but man does he have happy feet. They would beat tOSU, WV, domer and OU (over would be 150). Don't think they would hang with big defenses like Bama, Clemson, UM, or even LSU, though they might just beat UGA. Best offensive mind in CFB in my opinion, and he's even playing good defense though woefully undersized.
  20. I don't see LJH returning after the year he's having, but one can dream. One thing 1st half Mack did was keep players home and it showed with some really good/great seasons. Dabo didn't have a single guy leave early last year even though he had 5 guys who would have been drafted in the first 1.5 rounds. They attribute culture for Dabos success in keeping high NFL talent from leaving early, that and a chance to play Bama again for the title. The dynamic is shifting, more players are leaving early and it's a double edged sword. The best chance to keep them is if there's a culture they love and a real chance to win big, but you need guys to stay around to have that shot at a title. Only Bama under Saban is immune because he has built a self fulfilling machine of talent and success that attracts the best talent coming out of HS every year.
  21. According to ESPiN predictor, 60% chance to lose at Tech, 64% to beat ISU, 85% to beat KU. Though I believe the predictor had us around 52% to win yesterday, so...
