  1. Back the truck up to Tee Martin for wr coach. Recruiting coup and upgrade at position coach.
  2. Best 1 Loss, Best 2 loss, best 3 loss 2 of the top 1 loss the 2 best 3 loss 5 of the top 11 it really is a joke, they should just shut it down and put SEC in their own category where they only play one another for the title. Not sure why other schools bother competing.
  3. Unfortunately that is the scheme. The front is supposed to plug and the LBs are supposed to make the plays.
  4. The philosophy is sound against the spread if you have the personnel to execute. It's about numbers. The idea is to plug the inside running lanes and force double teams, 3 on 5. That gives you numbers mismatch in coverage and defending the RPO. Though once they start throwing more bodies out there with TEa and multi back sets you have to adjust with more big bodies on your side. Last year with the wealth of good QBs and high pass proficiency offenses it was a really good scheme. This year with all the transition going on we should be more flexible with our schemes.
  5. It's the poor mans Saban/Meyer method of hiring ex-HCs as position coach for sure, those guys hire ex HCs with so much baggage they couldn't find another gig... but were pretty good shit bag coaches. But you look at the offenses he was WR coach for before he got his shot, it looks like he was a pretty good position coach.
  6. That would be great, the WR coach from the good years at KU and the manziel years at aggy. Shitty head coach, seems like a good WR coach. Most likely a plus recruiter?
  7. As fun as that would be, I doubt it happens. And I will be a blazer fan going into that game just to see the spin as the wheels on the cart derail from the tracks. But transitive property, UAB got their ass handed to them by coastal Carolina who was beat badly by ULM and USCe. It's at home so aggy probably wins a lot closer than they think, but damn would it be fun if they don't.
  8. aggy always finds ways to turn a loss into a win, they crave relevancy and attention. Thus they never lose, they just run out of critical thinking.
  9. If we win out we are in, that's simple. And we probably have to beat WV, but they have remaining us, OU, OSU and TCU. ISU we have to beat. They have remaining Baylor, Kansas, UT, KSU, and incarnate word. They have h2h on WV. We basically could lose to tech or KU (fire everyone) as long as we win the rest. Sucks we lost our cushion in the 1st game of our actual gauntlet this season, and who would have thought USC/KSU/TCU/OU would have been the easier stretch going into this year?
  10. its called win your games. Win them all and you're in. Lose a game, particularly your opener to Maryland and then you need shit to happen. We were definitely in the conversation and needed to win out and shit to happen. But we have not looked like a championship level team, thus the national media talking about OU despite our h2h. Losing Saturday sucked, more so than the past few years because it's been years since this team was at 6-1 at this point. But as far as the conference is concerned, we don't need shit to happen, we just have to win. We very much control our destiny though we can't afford a loss this week. win out and we are in CCG without question. Lose to WV and we need OU to drop one of WV to drop 2. This is a critical game. If we beat WV then we have a little breathing room, we could take a loss to tech or Kansas. Need to beat ISU with their remaining schedule. If we lost to WV and we both won out, I believe we would rematch WV
  11. Point taken, and agree completely. Make the guys run hills or stadium steps or whatever, but if you're going to bench both staring corners, lets not start off on defense. Though fortunately we didn't choose to kick off but rather to defer. We proved that you can kick off to start both halves a few years ago
  12. Good grief. It's the "grits and cornbread". They left out watermelon and collard greens. aggy is their own worst enemy, they are a shitty school in a shitty town, surrounded by a bunch of redneck assholes who wonder why high caliber college football recruits don't want to come hang out at the Dixie chicken on Friday nights. And then bitching about SEC schools poaching Texas players, why the fuck do you think you were invited to come be another middle of the pack team in their conference? The total lack of awareness never ceases to amaze me, someone really should do a more in depth study of the water quality in the brazos river. The shit that goes on up stream in Waco, they drink the stupid down in B/CS.
  13. FSU and USC are number 3 and 6 respectively over the past 5 years recruiting. FSU is funny because aggy bought that fools gold, USC is just sad, the whole place in disarray (except song girls). Looking at the college injury report list and outside WSU and Stanford the entire conference looks like a triage center led by USC and UCLA with close to 40 players injured. Pretty damn strong correlation between talent level, injuries and performance, FSU is right up there with them. The 3 service academies have 11 injured between them, navy has over half of them and army has 2 Not much high level talent, but disciplined and conditioned. Domer is over achieving with their opposition being down, always good recruiting and only 4 injured players this late into the season. There's certainly an element of luck involved in a season as far as injury goes, but it's interesting to look at the injury reports and compare talent level, injuries and records
  14. San Jose guy has us at 8. Guess he just sent resend on last weeks ballot
  15. I think you left out pedo, who I think jumps ahead for beating Iowa. Houston will be ranked, probably won't pass us but wouldn't be surprised, they might beat us if we played. we could drop below UF and Utah could potentially pass us so somewhere between 13-16 with 14 or 15 being likely probably about where we should be, I would feel better playing someone like Kentucky or even tOSU than I would ISU or tech based on how we play up or down to our opponents
  16. Even Mrs Fidy commented "why do they make it look so easy and we make it look so hard?" And she knows jack shit about football. In spite of me trying to explain things, I can tell by her look she's moved on to thinking about shoes.
  17. We will drop to around 16 which is about where we are as a team this year. 10 teams below us lost today, just a mediocre year outside Bama it seems. Looks like another Bama/Clemson final, yay? Never thought playoffs would be in the cards after Maryland, even after the 6-0 run just because of how close it was at times. But was still hoping to keep winning, even ugly, so recruiting would finish really strong. Keep building talent and depth, hope coaching can keep up.
  18. Wow, why bother sitting upper deck end zone when you could easily move down to the 60% empty lower 50yd seats. Probably just there for free wifi, don't even know who's playing.
  19. Ends job in this defense is to take on blockers and plug holes, if he gets through and can disrupt a play that's a bonus. There's a lot of blame to share in this loss and a lot of it goes to the defense, coaching in particular. Our defense is very slow to adjust, has been for going on 2 years now. Timid play calling on offense, pass drops, lack of discipline on offense, complete lack of understanding of how well a true hurry-up works. On defense there was poor adjustments, poor tackling, poor secondary play. Bad decisions on short bus teams, poor officiating and penalties. Team effort from coaches to players.
  20. Playoffs was a pipe dream after the Maryland game, but still fun to think about after the past decade. But who would have thought the gauntlet of our schedule would be the second half after going through USC, TCU, KSU and OU? Those other teams are showing just who they are, and each week our achievements have become less signiificant. The reason OU has been leaned on by the media as the best chance for the B12 to go playoffs is they are beating the shit out of teams. We are scraping by really mediocre teams and it's finally caught up to us. We are a pretty good team with pretty good talent, but we aren't a top 10 or even 15 team right now. Need more talent and better coaching. One thing we have proved this year is OU is a fraud and if they somehow make the playoffs they will get beat badly. Hopefully we get it together, win the B12 and move on to next year.
  21. Well, it's crazy and stressful to really care again.
  22. No shit. Bragging rights, toughest road to the playoffs!!! Fuck, no wonder kids like SEC, the easiest path.
  23. I agree. Bowlsby keeps hearing that OU is the chance for the conference to make playoffs so he made a call to make it so. Maybe I'm just cynical, but fuck B12 and the shitty refs. And anyone who thinks we should go Pac12, they suck even worse.

    Tech @ ISU

Maybe they need to check linemens helmets after each game and count the gashes on top of them, then DQ them for corresponding number of upcoming games. We can all play 7 on 7. Cant hit the QB below the waist. Can't hit the QB from shoulders up. Future resurgence in QBs <6' so the window to hit them shrinks to around 8 inches. Offensive stats start including roughing the passer yards along with passing and rushing. OR just put a pink jersey on QBs and be done with it.
