  1. Nope. You can head over to the coaches poll for that
  2. I've been trying to watch WSU play, they are fun to watch though last night was a little boring for them. Menschew is really good, but man does he have happy feet. They would beat tOSU, WV, domer and OU (over would be 150). Don't think they would hang with big defenses like Bama, Clemson, UM, or even LSU, though they might just beat UGA. Best offensive mind in CFB in my opinion, and he's even playing good defense though woefully undersized.
  3. I don't see LJH returning after the year he's having, but one can dream. One thing 1st half Mack did was keep players home and it showed with some really good/great seasons. Dabo didn't have a single guy leave early last year even though he had 5 guys who would have been drafted in the first 1.5 rounds. They attribute culture for Dabos success in keeping high NFL talent from leaving early, that and a chance to play Bama again for the title. The dynamic is shifting, more players are leaving early and it's a double edged sword. The best chance to keep them is if there's a culture they love and a real chance to win big, but you need guys to stay around to have that shot at a title. Only Bama under Saban is immune because he has built a self fulfilling machine of talent and success that attracts the best talent coming out of HS every year.
  4. According to ESPiN predictor, 60% chance to lose at Tech, 64% to beat ISU, 85% to beat KU. Though I believe the predictor had us around 52% to win yesterday, so...
  5. The OU-tech game had very few commercial breaks. Mostly for injury, but during change of possession they often posted stats, highlights and aerial shots. It's was amazing to see a game that had more game than commercial. Meanwhile on FOX.... I think we are still in a tv timeout
  6. One slow change I have seen that's baffling, defense called for offsides for moving. Used to be offense had to get set, defense could move at will as long as they weren't in the neutral zone or do something to draw the offense offsides like simulate a snap count. Makes sense, offense knows the count, defense doesn't. Now you see a defense guy flinch but reset and gets called for offsides. Watched WSU defense shift down the line and get called for drawing a false start. But watching NW and dome, NW defender jumps but gets back, tackle moves and it's false start. That has become arbitrary and unevenly enforced. Defensive holding on a run play while engaged in a double team. WTF. The officiating in the B12 is atrocious, instead of invisibly calling a game they appear to think they are part of the spotlight and want more stage time. PAC is hardly better. Between the officiating, the absurd round robin with a rematch, and all the shitty teams we have to play every year I'm ready to move on somewhere else.
  7. Coaching is lacking. We have a lot of talent, claiming otherwise is disingenuous, only USC and OU rank higher over the past 5 years. We have talent that beat both of those teams, USC because their coaching is horrendous and OU because they had the worst DC in football. But either could not just out talent us Good coaches are scheming our defense, out coaching us. Offense looks more like we are out coaching ourselves. Sure, the DC can't help when guys take bad angles or miss assignments, but it's their job to teach them responsibilities, get them ready for the upcoming game, AND to replace them when they aren't getting it done. Depth issues are not unique to any team, we all have the same scholarship limits and roster turnover. What Mack did to the program is now a tired excuse, there's no-one left from his classes and only maybe 4 from CS first year. We are recruiting well, but how long will that sustain when you aren't competing for anything of substance? Good coaches can build a roster to fit their system and win more than they lose. Great coaches can go win with someone else's recruits, then build a program that competes at a high level. Right now it looks like we might have a good coach.
  8. Protect the artificially inflated higher ranked team. SECism has become old and tired.
  9. Holy shit they are trying to help aggy as much as possible
  10. A corn win would be great for college football
  11. Matt Campbell going to win a MNC next year, there's a lot of talent but Urb has lost his step. Fuck tOSU and whatever deal they made th the devil
  12. I'll be interested to see how they come out in terms of how wired up Jimbo has them or if he wants a team that just comes out poised and ready to execute. Either way, I'm expecting to see them either very emotional and flying around or come out and play very clean, mistake-free football. up-down-up-down-left-right-left-right-B-A-startl. Baggins just has to decide which code he wants to use, he's going to play chess on Gus tic-tac-toe board meanwhile, hindsight is 20/20. Should have taken greedy Williams, Little, Waddle, Rodney Anderson, Chaisson, cee dee lamb, Brandon jones. Unfortunately they passed on those guys, giving them away the likes of LSU, Stanford, bama, OU. LSU, OU, and UT. Had they just pulled the trigger on those guys instead of recruiting over them, just imagine how good they would be now. Maybe even 2nd in their division. But just wasn't until 2020. That's the year hindsight comes to fruition because the exchange Clemson and UGA for vandy and Colorado. That's the year they finally make their run. you could never convince me this shit isn't some onion parody if it weren't for the fact that I know several aggy.
  13. Pick up Tee Martin as a consultant or go all in as WR coach. He's Bru primary recruiter and USC top overall side note, I'm surprised to see mehringer is considered 3rd in the nation by 247. move him to consultant and replace him with Martin or vice versa, but time to fill up with "consultants" who can recruit ala Bama/tOSU etc. what good is money if you can't make it work for you?
  14. Back the truck up to Tee Martin for wr coach. Recruiting coup and upgrade at position coach.
  15. Best 1 Loss, Best 2 loss, best 3 loss 2 of the top 1 loss the 2 best 3 loss 5 of the top 11 it really is a joke, they should just shut it down and put SEC in their own category where they only play one another for the title. Not sure why other schools bother competing.
  16. Unfortunately that is the scheme. The front is supposed to plug and the LBs are supposed to make the plays.
  17. The philosophy is sound against the spread if you have the personnel to execute. It's about numbers. The idea is to plug the inside running lanes and force double teams, 3 on 5. That gives you numbers mismatch in coverage and defending the RPO. Though once they start throwing more bodies out there with TEa and multi back sets you have to adjust with more big bodies on your side. Last year with the wealth of good QBs and high pass proficiency offenses it was a really good scheme. This year with all the transition going on we should be more flexible with our schemes.
  18. It's the poor mans Saban/Meyer method of hiring ex-HCs as position coach for sure, those guys hire ex HCs with so much baggage they couldn't find another gig... but were pretty good shit bag coaches. But you look at the offenses he was WR coach for before he got his shot, it looks like he was a pretty good position coach.
  19. That would be great, the WR coach from the good years at KU and the manziel years at aggy. Shitty head coach, seems like a good WR coach. Most likely a plus recruiter?
  20. As fun as that would be, I doubt it happens. And I will be a blazer fan going into that game just to see the spin as the wheels on the cart derail from the tracks. But transitive property, UAB got their ass handed to them by coastal Carolina who was beat badly by ULM and USCe. It's at home so aggy probably wins a lot closer than they think, but damn would it be fun if they don't.
  21. aggy always finds ways to turn a loss into a win, they crave relevancy and attention. Thus they never lose, they just run out of critical thinking.
  22. If we win out we are in, that's simple. And we probably have to beat WV, but they have remaining us, OU, OSU and TCU. ISU we have to beat. They have remaining Baylor, Kansas, UT, KSU, and incarnate word. They have h2h on WV. We basically could lose to tech or KU (fire everyone) as long as we win the rest. Sucks we lost our cushion in the 1st game of our actual gauntlet this season, and who would have thought USC/KSU/TCU/OU would have been the easier stretch going into this year?
  23. FIFY
  24. its called win your games. Win them all and you're in. Lose a game, particularly your opener to Maryland and then you need shit to happen. We were definitely in the conversation and needed to win out and shit to happen. But we have not looked like a championship level team, thus the national media talking about OU despite our h2h. Losing Saturday sucked, more so than the past few years because it's been years since this team was at 6-1 at this point. But as far as the conference is concerned, we don't need shit to happen, we just have to win. We very much control our destiny though we can't afford a loss this week. win out and we are in CCG without question. Lose to WV and we need OU to drop one of WV to drop 2. This is a critical game. If we beat WV then we have a little breathing room, we could take a loss to tech or Kansas. Need to beat ISU with their remaining schedule. If we lost to WV and we both won out, I believe we would rematch WV
  25. Point taken, and agree completely. Make the guys run hills or stadium steps or whatever, but if you're going to bench both staring corners, lets not start off on defense. Though fortunately we didn't choose to kick off but rather to defer. We proved that you can kick off to start both halves a few years ago
