  1. Is there any way we could finish 11-1 and meet Michigan in a bowl? We beat them again and then next year.....
  2. I heard that talked about, getting rid of kickoffs could be in the future. But how does that work, when time is short an onsides kick is crucial for a chance to win.
  3. It's painful to watch the read play where Shane stands frozen with the ball held at arms length for what feels like 5 seconds. Also, he looks so gun shy in the pocket, quick to retreat out of the protection around him--backwards. He's nowhere near the worst QB we have had but he's not a good fit for 1/2 of the offense we run and we aren't going to change our offense to suit him. there was definitely a lot of rust built up and I have no doubt he would improve enough to win some of the games we have ahead of us if it came to that. Some, not all. With Sam starting to really grow into his role it feels like we could actually do the previously unthinkable and win out with ball protection and a little luck.
  4. Don't want to play UCF, don't really want to play LSU as they are OU first game next year. UGA would be nice. Whatever the case, here's to hoping CJ and LJH see potential to do something special and come back next year, losing our best players on offense for the bowl game this year would suck.
  5. The first picker Andrea whatever did a pretty good job over all except she was off by 4 points on our score. She got OUs point total and was pretty close with aggy and reasonably close in the LSU/UF game.
  6. He got his dick on froze. Baller
  7. Wilson is going to tOSU and nothing we do will change that. I'm disappointed as I have seen every game he has played in HS, and I know he will be very good at the next level. Hopefully things align and we get Bru. we are building a solid base but we need to get more of those absolute next level players like sterns to start coming in every year.
  8. Chromie homies
  9. Bradfords was considered a grade II or possibly III. Means tears to some but not all of the ligaments in the joint. agreed I hope we don't rush him because of the way we use him, but if it's truly a grade I then normally it would be fully healed in 6 weeks with no need to surgically repair ligaments. Stretched or partial tear of a ligament, requires time to recover. Not ideal in the least, though we pretty much knew that in Hermans offense it's a good thing to have more than 1 capable QB.
  10. Performing well, slightly better than flipping a coin. Take that to vegas and you will eventually go broke on the juice
  11. How about Leach, Holgo, Ogre, and Leslie Miles... and a case of scotch. Gameday would be the shit. Leach hosts of course, Les doing les things, holgo is shitfaced and the only one who can understand Ogres takes.
  12. If LSU wins out, they are in. Likewise UGA, though less likely. And if Bama loses only to LSU and misses CCG, look for them to make it again like last year.
  13. Probably Katy in the state game like 3 years ago
  14. Damn, is Carson related to one Joel Ron Mckelvey?
  15. It was old fashioned woodshed. Card had 4 or 5 picks, cant remember, 2 were called back on WL penalties. The long throws were so off the mark it wasn't even funny. Wilson missed the first second half series that ended in a pick 6 because he was in the locker room getting an IV. gatter wilson looked like a guy who knows he's the #1 player in the state and has a ride to tOSU, instead of the guy who wants to become the #1 player in the state. Still an amazing athelete, he had all of LTs points tonight. The defense for LT looked gassed in the 1st Q, both sides of the ball look like squads that haven't faced any real competition and haven't played a second half down all season. Westlake has a really good front 7. They played like the squad that has only given up 42 points prior all season and shut out their last 3 opponents. taylor Anderson is a good player.
  16. Too lazy to look, but if that's the case it's another reason to hate this conference. Play round robin, then rematch 2 teams for championship. In the event of a tie, go first to shit that happened outside of the conference. Why play anyone good OOC if it potentially hurts you? And why the fuck would you ever schedule 2 P5 games OOC? I like the good OOC games a lot, but not if it's going to cost us a spot in the CCG.
  17. Card doesn't run all that much possibly because they have a chance to play for another title but they won't go far with their backup. He's a really small kid who is a terrific athlete. Carter got a dose of losing QB1 last year and I'm sure wants to avoid that at almost all cost. He's hesitant, looks like the directions are "run if you need to but don't put yourself at unnecessary risk" last season Card was opposite wilson, and while they were double teaming the best receiver in the state, card was getting a ton of catches. He's a freak in space, LT was dominant on offense last year because of the card/wilson duo with a good passer throwing to them. Card was far and away a better receiver than passer last year, not even close Made big strides in the past year though
  18. put a heavy lean on SOS for the 2 at large in an 8 team playoff. OOC losses will mean less with guaranteed conference champs getting a spot, and heavy SOS so we get more, better P5 matchups.
  19. The ball is touching 17 while he is OoB
  20. Know how I know I'm old? some guy at the fair told me my shoes were clean. My daughter had to translate.
  21. Hagar should have taken that opportunity to smash the QB at full blast, one of the few chances anyone might have and would set the tone nicely. Murray probably would have gotten the ball away but he would be thinking "oh shit, maybe I should have stuck with baseball".
  22. The fact that we have subjective rankings and the SEC method means there are going to be faults in the ranking system. Moving to 8 teams will have an undeserving team or two included every year, this is true, but they wont get 1 chance to luck their way to a championship, they will have to do it 3 times. A team that can win most/all of their regular season games and then go beat 3 top 10 teams is your best team. Moving to 8 makes it more likely the best team is included. There's a serious lack of cross conference play to determine who is the best without including a large enough sample size in playoffs. With 5 P5 and a G5 with some good teams, domer, and times when the best team had an off day like Bama at barn last year, there's often going to be a case for more than 4 yet almost never a case for more than 8. Its possible to have 6 undefeated P5 including ND, and a G5 often goes undefeated. Why would you not have a system that has room for those 7 teams?
  23. Those numbers are ridiculous.
  24. We actually played that quad better than they played ours. One of the 4 is covered up and thus can't catch a pass beyond the LOS, we didn't actually wast a defender on him, though as he backed up someone came up to contain. That play got blown for several other reasons. I remember 1 play when we had quads, sooner had 2 guys covering our receiver who was covered up. Mike stoops defense at its finest.
  25. That sounds about right, get rid of about 15 safeties and get a few corners.
