  1. Care to bet that he makes better half time adjustments than we did in the last two games? In other words, he will make some half-time adjustments.
  2. No kidding, thought that would be a cakewalk.
  3. Should be fun to watch Mack pound his alma mater and former nemesis into the dirt.
  4. Eh, no. It's Chernobyl without the Farris wheel.
  5. Should have negged you for talking about hookers while quoting a post that used the word "rash".
  6. What could be less exhausting than being a keyboard warrior! Mom brings your juice box to the basement and you just keep on typing the same stuff over, and over as if that will change the world to your view. Get up and do it again,
  7. Oh thanks a lot, got up, feeling good, drinking coffee on the back porch. Never gave a though as to why I was enjoying the morning so much, then you had to go and post this and hit the nail on the head.
  8. Perhaps he did. But if we had it to do over again I'd say keep him, he absolutely could not have done worse than Charlie.
  9. Ran track with Bobby Micho at Anderson High in Austin. He played at UT and I think he went on to the pros. Up here in Coppell I got to see Conner Williams. It was truly like watching a man amongst boys.
  10. Sooo, Naked warehouse football?
  11. I'll believe it when I see it. But I hope it's true.
  12. I do that sometimes, but I've tried to see at least some of it at games I attend. I respect all of the work that goes into it, but it doesn't even seem like they are into it anymore so why not have local bands at half time.
  13. Does anyone even watch the halftimes anymore? Seriously, I try and watch out of respect for all the work they put in. But I can't say I really look forward to it. Maybe it's time to move on.
  14. This weekend was the first game I've been to without the LHB. I didn't miss them at all. Why not have halftimes in Austin Super Bowl style. Surely the "Live Music Capital" can find a band for 6 halftimes every year. Give the money spent on uniforms and band scholarships to a food bank. They don't want to play "the Eyes" anymore, and haven't we all skipped enough half time shows?
  15. Time will tell. But DD won't like the answer. It's too engrained to go away.
  16. I strongly agree with this. While I hate being in the three year coaching spiral, when it obviously isn't working and isn't going to work there is no real excuse for not moving on. There is a price for action, and a price for inaction.
  17. There were a number of reasons why it was good back then. Of course, being in my 20's there were things that I thought would never change. HA!
  18. Aggy gave him the TransAm but over the next 4 years he was often seen in a "Powder Blue" Z.
  19. Just figured he was getting the Eric Dickerson deal. Or was that a 260Z?
  20. $1.3 mil and a 280Z under the table.
  21. Well said. There are things I can say to/about a subordinate and things I can't. If you go into the parts of the "can't zone" you have essentially fired them on the spot. Which you should do If you get pushed into considering it more than once.
  22. I would take him right now even if he has gone full Stephen Hawking!
  23. Something else that won't change in my lifetime- "Money talks, BS walks".
  24. I have always appreciated players that work hard and leave it on the field. You know, the guys that love being here and appreciate the special opportunity that being a scholarship athlete at UT represents. (Earl, Colt, Vince, Ricky, Terry Stealhammer, Doug Shankle, D.D. Lewis, Kiki DeAyala, Pretty much the entire 1969, 1970 teams). There are many more, but these are just some of the ones I got to see. Win or lose, you do it like they did and I will stay to sing the Eyes as my salute to your efforts and our bond as Longhorns.
