  1. I started out in the middle, but after consideration moved to a no. I spend a lot on getting to and going to games, but I would spend a lot not to get sick too. If things square up I might consider buying on the secondary market, but I doubt it. I was also leaning toward letting them roll the money for 2021, now thinking they can send it back.
  2. The indecision is a minor factor in my choice to skip the season. It's enough of a cluster to try plan a trip, much less 6 trips year. I'm not blaming the AD's, of course they want to play the games. But this situation is going to be fluid (and probably frustrating) for the entire season.
  3. So, @LSU first. Does that mean we have basically given up on ooc already? Kinda sounds like it.
  4. Went to a Texas/Rice game in Houston with a Rice grad buddy. One section over from the Rice students section. We dismembered them starting pretty early on. And while I enjoyed that, I enjoyed the Rice students almost as much. They started a "WE SUCk" chant. A guy went to the concession stand and returned with a Texas pennant then proceeded to tell the rest of the section "LOOK AT ME!!! 4$ freakin' dollars and I'm going to be a WINNER... ALL YEAR LONG!!! The capper was when two of our linemen arrived at the Rice QB at the same time. Kid goes down and stays down. After a few minutes the cart comes out and guy in the MOB starts banging a slow beat on the kettle drum, masses of the student section (between the beats just like in "the Holy Grail") chants "Bring out your dead". My sinuses got a Coka-Cola rise.
  5. Just got this email. Thank you for your survey response indicating that you do not plan to attend Texas Football games this fall and are opting out of season tickets for the 2020 season. A Texas Athletics staff member will reach out to you in the second half of August regarding payment you made for the 2020 Texas Football season. At that time, you may request that your 2020 payment apply as a credit toward the 2021 season, a full refund, a partial refund, or to convert your payment into a 100% tax-deductible gift. If you are on a payment plan, we will not charge your last installment on Aug. 3 unless you direct us to do so. If you submitted your survey response in error, please reply to this email or call us at (512) 471-3333 to let us know your intended answer. Hook ’em! The Longhorn Foundation
  6. You say that like it's a bad thing. If I had ever played a snap for the Longhorns you'd have to kill me to hear the end of it!
  7. I'm betting it would be pretty awkward for the University in a lawsuit as well.
  8. Just bought 4 of these masks from the co-op, a little steep at $29, but hey, gotta support UT and the bookstore right?
  9. Neither one sounds like an acceptable risk vs. reward.
  10. Just purchased for my iPad, very interesting so far.
  11. I went in and changed my "survey" to the "I won't be attending" option. I didn't want to let go of the season, but reality is I'm just not thinking it's going to be worth it to me. I'm 60 and while I'm more likely to get COVID at work, it seems silly to be exposed just to go to a game when I could watch it on TV. Especially for a game day that's likely to be a lesser experience. Jeez Armybrat, I didn't take you for a rookie, we did 49 seasons in section 6 (formerly 6U) before moving last year.
  12. I think we passed into the football clusterfuck zone back around mid May.
  13. That's appears to be so. It's 3 options that don't completely square with what the letter says. Then you get a "fill in the blank" if you choose the middle option.
  14. I'm leaning towards pushing to 2021.I don't think the experience will be worth the hassle/expense. I hate this even more since we were looking forward to going to games with our new Freshman, and I couldn't care less about the Patterson era "loyalty points" or anything else that jackass came up with.
  15. Are we required to flip cars? I’m not as strong as I used to be.
  16. Ehh, can we just leave that one as a hypothetical?
  17. In January of that year we had the Challenger explosion, pretty much every nation sent their condolences. Even nations we were not on the best terms with. Not the good old USSR, they put out a statement saying "this is what happens when you turn Capitalists loose with technology". Really stuck in my craw. So, a few months later in April they have Chernobyl.. well ha ha freaking ha Ivan, looks like Communist/Socialist/Totalitarian pricks have worse tech problems than Capitalism. At the time I had no pity for them. But the reality of it was that a a lot of innocent people suffered, that is the real shame. I don't think even Aggy is so screwed up. That was a great watch, and maybe you were thinking of Aggy because of the look of the buildings?
  18. I'd rather catch the Covid than watch that crap again.
  19. Yeah, but I'll take my chances human fallibility ahead of the conspiracy, chem trail, FEMA death camp, everything is planned by the govenment at the direction of time traveling aliens crowd.
  20. On the surface of it I really don't mind if they do, unfortunately in their conspiracy driven "I know more than the Dr.'s and the evil pharmaceutical companies" fervor they get people hurt and killed.
  21. Well, we have money and we're not cheepscates so, yeah. We also capitalize at the start of a sentence.
  22. Yeah, I can't wait until there are post complaining about a scheme or series of actual football plays. It may be months or even years in the future but I hope to (live) to see it.
  23. I just looked Global deaths now exceed 601,000.
  24. I hope that is a "spot on analysis". If our OC works out, then we might see something. Just seems like something has been off, I hope you're right.
  25. They didn't specify, and yeah I had the same with it. It sucks, and yet that stuff got approved.
