  1. I hope that is a "spot on analysis". If our OC works out, then we might see something. Just seems like something has been off, I hope you're right.
  2. They didn't specify, and yeah I had the same with it. It sucks, and yet that stuff got approved.
  3. Another couple of things that bug me, we haven't made any progress past getting to a bowl game where we are the underdog, and why is that scenario the only one where we see inspired play? Don't get me wrong, He's an upgrade from where we were, but is he "the guy"? I no longer think so. Would LOVE to be wrong, but just not seeing it.
  4. We all hope so, but I don't think it's wise to expect so. The link within the article mentions a high adverse reaction rate. It could be they don't have the dosage "dialed in". Right now they are doing a two dose routine. Could be that this isn't the one. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
  5. It's all of that in total. The KU game is a great example of a coach getting great effort from his players. They had just a couple of guys that were at the same level as our guys, but put on quite the performance. I was unable to see the Iowa St. game live, sorry I watched (most) of it later.
  6. I'm not sure we have ANY reason to expect that, but I sure as hell hope it is!
  7. Perhaps it's the way 2020 has gone that's getting to me, but I'm not optimistic that we will play, and not optimistic about the team. They are coming across as less of a team and more a group of free agents and "Twitter masters". Hope I'm wrong, but I don't see the same things out of winning programs that I'm seeing out of ours. It has turned me against Herman. He obviously won't be the worst coach we've had, but I no longer think he's the guy.
  8. Oh God yessss! Please make it so!
  9. I will be down with watching water polo if this goes another 18 months.
  10. Yep, I screwed that up, it's half a million. Sorry if I added to the number by giving anyone a heart attack!
  11. I'm not quite in on "ruin the lives of many student athletes". Most of us make it through life and didn't have our college or our kids college paid for. Should it even be so dire, as to drop kids from scholarship it will be okay. Their lives will not be ruined. Anyone with permanent lung scaring, blood clots leading to amputation, or dying from this virus as more than half a billion already have, yeah their lives are ruined.
  12. Seems like this is a "rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic" kind of move.
  13. Would love to have bought a Texas National Champions 2020 shirt, now would be happy with "I watched a game on TV" shirt.
  14. I wouldn't say he's a asshole, but it's pretty clear that football isn't high on his priority list if it makes the list at all. I hold no ill will toward any young man that doesn't want to play or doesn't want to play for UT, we have a slew of them that fit that category every recruiting season. As for this young man, I wish you well in your future endeavors but I'm no longer interested in those endeavors.
  15. So A&M and 3 others?
  16. Yeah, this kind of falls into that "do you want to be right or do you want to be happy" category. Good job letting her know you won't be going, not sure I would have gone with the "second wedding jab", it will only come up again a friends third and fourth weddings . I got lucky. I married a girl that let me skip her sisters wedding because of a Texas-Rice game!
  17. Uniform testing? How's the going to work for Oregon? They have a new uniform every week!
  18. It's a side note to the whole season cancellation problem, but I guess this would mean almost no coaching changes. If they were good enough to keep at the end of last season, then short of some scandal or a retirement there would be no reason, (and likely no money) to change.
  19. I like it, add ND, Liberty, Wake Forrest, Duke (Historic connection), but call it the "See whom God likes best tour".
  20. So you're saying they went to court and the Native Americans lost?
  21. I would be surprised if they cancelled and didn't at least SAY they would hold the games in the Spring. If nothing else they could hold on to some money and make some interest.
  22. Interesting question, do you push for a season that will screw up the season after that? I would think its better to take your lumps up front and get it over with. I have no problem with trying to have a Spring season otherwise. I also think they will hold on to that hope.
  23. Losing the non-cons is a big step in that direction but I think the overall revenue for the season will take huge hit if 50% or 25% capacity is mandated. I would imagine the reason they wouldn't consider a 2 game season would be all of the expense/lawsuit risk without enough income to make it practical. While I think there are multiple aspects that could be the deciding factor, I don't expect any responsible AD to approve of a huge money sink hole of a plan.
  24. No, not spiking like NYC on a nationwide basis is pretty good mitigation. We have so few weapons to fight this foe, it's a small victory just to not overwhelm the soldiers on the front line. Or from our perspective, I'd say its best not to be needing bed 101 at a 100 bed hospital. Then it really is "Game over man!"
  25. Sucks for the kids. If this sticks around for 4+ years would high schools still have sports programs? Hopefully the much hated "big pharma" can come up with a vaccine, of course the conspiracy/anti-vax crowd will have some negative spin on it.
