  1. Imagine being on a Texas sports message board and telling another poster that not letting their child attend aggy is "one of the dumbest things I've ever heard."
  2. What's great is after he commits to Texas, he'll still have an out because LSU and Miami likely will still be trying to get his signature come November and December, as predicted. But by then, the fanbase will have moved on and no one will have remembered this asinine prediction. Come to think of it, not a bad strategy in the game of selling bullshit.
  3. I was back in town for a HS reunion a few years ago and ended up talking to an old classmate who kinda fits the bill for traditional conservative wife. River Oaks Homemaker, church every Sunday with the family, probably half of their friends will pull the trigger for Trump. Somehow, SB came up in the conversation and - having been away from that scene for 20 years, I had no thoughts on the place - the look in her eyes when I brought up SB was a mix of terror and disgust. Flat out told me that its a cult and she and her husband stay as far away from anyone who attends church there or sends their kids. Pretty eye opening for me. I didn't remember that being the case in the 90's/early 00's, but maybe its always been that way.

  6. I hit 120 payments needed for Public Service Loan Forgiveness 5 months ago. But each time it gets ready to be forgiven, I get an email saying "sorry! a federal court just struck down blah, blah, blah . . . so we'll need to put a forbearance on your account until we figure this out."

  9. In notoriously tough-on-crime LA, they subpoena the victims to court and threaten to arrest them if they don't show up. then they put them on the stand and browbeat them until they start crying and admit to some or all of the conduct occurring. Results are mixed.
  10. Based on his last appearance in the CR, he's not even familiar with the concept of "questions and answers" so good luck getting a response.
  11. Played HS soccer in Houston and I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there. Ice? Sleet? What are these things?
  12. French authorities arresting a Russian who ran the platform that was ground zero for pro-Russian, Anti-American, pro-Nazi, and anti-Semitic content? Meh
  13. Can't wait for the next installment in this story
  14. Or, in other words "does a single city's leaders (since recalled) failure to follow legislation, mean that the legislation has failed statewide?"
  15. they should open fake, empty field offices in TX, OH, FL, etc. Kinda like this, but for politics

  17. Speaking of spouses, Gwen Walz might be my favorite person ever and if they don't get Kristen Wiig to play her on SNL, I'm showing up on Lorne's doorstep
