What’s the alternative, letting protesters storm the White House?
We let protesters storm state capitals just 2 weeks ago. Heavily armed protesters.

And he could show you 100 videos of nonviolent arrests of minorities made by cops. That was his point. Speaking of dissembling.
Yeah, minorities, what's the deal? Most of the time when we target your communities and arrest your people at rates exponentially higher than others, we do it non-violently!

like all the people blocking highways? Its way more than 5%. the people speaking and marching peacefully need to wait, they are getting drowned out anyway and we can't isolate the idiots/thugs. they are going to have plenty of time to march and speak.
Blocking a highway is not a violent protest.

i always find it so funny how many people get their panties in a wad over what someone says, does or wants when a riot breaks out. as if there is only one problem, one category of injustice, one type if ignorance, or one thing has somehow been suppressed and now comes out.
a riot is the opposite of leadership
Yes, the Arab spring started over a Tunisian street vendor. All it takes is a spark.

LMAO people acting like Kapernick was protesting in the middle of the huddle. Dude silently protested DURING THE POLITICAL portion of the game. You know, the part where everyone stops to praise our military, first responders, and sing a song to the glory of our nation.
If the praise is not political, then why is the criticism?

I think this is a really smart point. As a conservative there are some policy things and regulatory things I agree a lot with Trump on (please don’t argue what that is here anyone else, it’s not germane to this point at all and it’s a tangent that doesn’t need to be explored to sidetrack the thread), but I find him so personally loathsome that I’m not interested in carrying water for him, and his cult of personality and unwashed masses that he’s brought into the party means everything needs to be a litmus text for his ideas that you must support at any time and all cost mean that there’s no guiding principles to adhere to as a party or coalition anymore.
Couple that with his influence now being so loud that 30+ (at least) percent of the party is in lockstep with him and you literally have no chance of winning a primary anywhere that you’d have a chance to win a general in without his approval.
It’s going to be really really really tough for the GOP to ever get any traction and win any election on a national level, or anywhere that’s not deeply red going forward.
I don’t know how long that stench lasts but I’m not honestly sure that the GOP can overcome it with their own doing, and will be relegated to winning only if/when the democrats massively shit the bed. Which isn’t good for America because it means elections become up/down referendums that can only be won if the prevailing party in power becomes completely and totally inept, as opposed to just not optimal.
It’s a conundrum any time majority party in a republic controls everything anywhere in said republic, that I think our founding fathers brilliantly solved through federalism, but that seems to be on the wane and I don’t think that genie is ever coming back out of the bottle again.
I’m not crying any tears for Gardner here, but it’s pretty amazing he can be down 20. It might just be a perfect storm of his state becoming blue, a really popular governor running against him, and his party at the national level being run by an idiot during a time of pandemic and possible Great Depression. Maybe Colorado is only an 8 point state (or 6 or 4) in normal times and those other factors are creating this kind margin and it’s a one off type thing.
But yeah, anyone that can’t see CO, NV and probably AZ are now part of the “west
coast” politically is crazy. I don’t think, in 24, AZ even comes up as a battleground state.
Dems are also ideologically fractured - arguably with sides as entrenched as the GOP. Difference now being they have a common enemy to unite against.
The main difference of course is the Dem base is growing while GOP is shrinking.
Ideologically, there should be at least 4 parties.

Leave out the rest of my post to make your cute and obvious joke (pretty much the same joke I made at the bottom of that very same post). Cool.
Yes, pay them more AND require much more education, training and more strict acceptance criteria. You can't just shitcan (or incarcerate) all the fucksticks, and expect their replacements to be any better. They need to find a way to attract better applicants, so they're not forced to scrape the bottom of the barrel to fill out their ranks. Money goes a long way.

They can blame opposing coaches or TV hosts but their very own elected leaders created most of the doubt about California being able to play football. You know, when they went on record saying football was not going to happen. Just going out on a limb and suggesting that is where that notion came from.
Serious question. I remember the CSU system stating they wouldn't have students in the fall and that would impact sports, but was there some other announcement?
