I mean, a 2022 recruit...if we hire Urban, I'd still like our chances to land him. If we keep Herman, not sure it matters who plays QB anyway.

Agreed. And, I just assumed Ewers leaving was a foregone conclusion if Herman sticks around.

Why would the #1 recruit in the last 20 years want to play for an average program?

It would have been like Trevor Lawrence committing to Georgia Tech just because his daddy used to take him to games there or something.

I mean she’s not as bad as an Elizabeth Warren I guess, but she’s up there. You disagree?  Anyways probably the wrong thread for this discussion.

Will check back in after more reporting this evening on topics that the liberal media fails to cover because.....

Can you pinpoint when the WSJ went liberal?

I'd like to meet one of those people.

I mean, this board is full of them. Perhaps you don't remember, but many of the "triggered libs" you think infest this place, are former republicans and contributed to these boards as republicans for years. Believe it or not, these people live relatively normal lives in non-antifa households. They don't all have face tattoos or nose piercings. Many are indistinguishable from you and your friends.

Honestly, in my world, a white bengal tiger would be a father convincing his 12 year old daughter that Donald Trump is the right man for the job.

So, on the baseball thread I avoided the topic, because I really just want to enjoy baseball when its on, and didn't want to come across as harassing the fans who celebrate their team's victory.

But Justin Turner, who I previously enjoyed watching play, well,  he sure pulled the ultimate asshole move, imo.

Pick your poison on the story source, but this tweet sums it up:

The manager he's sitting next to is a cancer survivor, btw.

Justin isn't alone in terms of Americans who put their own desires above the safety and lives of others.  But it is highly disappointing to see and read about.

Random reddit user expresses it well:

"This virus is really showing people’s mindsets when it comes to sacrificing self interest for the greater good. I understand the immense temptation but there are families on the field, other players, crews, people of all ages. They’re ALL going separate ways after this and could spread it easily or you’re now putting them in a quarantine situation. Asshole move

At the end of the day he knew he had a positive test and didn’t care about the concerns of spreading it to celebrate because his season was over and if he does indeed have it, so what, he can recoup at home cause there’s no more baseball. Who cares about those other peoples situations

Edit: the more I think about this the angrier I get. The league went to insane lengths to see to it that we had baseball this year. Players screaming let us play, etc. They did so much to protect players so that they could play, have the season and we could have SOME normal. And at the very end this dude just shits all over it on the biggest stage. Come on"

Not to mention, because of the title runs of both the Lakers and Dodgers, local health officials are saying that spikes in LA are largely attributable to fans gathering to watch and celebrate.

If you're going to cut/paste that shit - do us a favor and paste it as plain text and then link to whatever breitbart/infowars article you got it from.

    Actually, its from Heartland.org

    Written by this muckraker:

"James D. Agresti is a former atheist who became a Christian after reading the Bible from cover to cover and finding objective evidence for its accuracy. Mr. Agresti holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and has worked as a designer of jet aircraft engines, a technical sales professional, and chief engineer of a firm that customizes helicopters. He is the president and cofounder of Just Facts, an institute dedicated to researching and publishing verifiable facts about public policy issues."

I remember when Jimmy Carter's alkie brother took money from the Libyans. They did not give it to him for no reason. But if anyone thought it would work to gain Carter's favor, they were crazy. The Republicans used this fact in the election to smear him anyway. Drunk Billy hurt his brother by taking the money thrown at him for being his brother. This smells about the same. Hunter is drunk Billy trading on his name but he'd get no farther in garnering favors from his pop than drunk Billy ever did from Jimmy.

And how does this compare to the children of the sitting POTUS striking business deals around the world for POTUS'S brand?

Libertarianism sounds great on paper as long as you don't think it through.  Otherwise, it's just grad student bullshit willfully ignorant of the real world.

This board's resident Libertarian sided with the police when they attacked peaceful protesters this summer.

I think that encapsulates 20th century American Libertarianism quite nicely.
