  1. I started going back to the gym a few months ago for the first time in a decade plus. I'll usually grab a treadmill towards the back and with it I can see all of the TVs on each individual treadmill or bike in front of me. No joke, 90% of people older than 60 are watching Fox News. I don't see a single person under 40 watching ANY news from any source. And this is in a blue area.

  3. sorry to cherry pick, but I can't let this go. Cancel Culture was a right-wing thing LONG before it became a left wing thing. What was anti-gay legislation and criminalizing same sex relationships? What was McCarthyism? What was the reaction to the labor movement and the suffragette movement in the early 20th century? What was the reaction to the Dixie Chicks 25 years ago? The right-side, throughout history, has used pressure, social stigmatization, legislation, and even imprisonment to "cancel" anyone who questioned the prevailing societal norms of the time.
  4. a thread about *literally anything* and Johnny posts about his ranch, his family ranches, his money, his connections. quelle surprise

  6. I noticed this too when scrolling through their database. They also treat equally a single student complaint that led to no action with a student complaint that led to a professor's dismissal. That's like saying a random tweet is as harmful as legislation passed and enforced.
  7. I edited my post, so I'll submit, but I'll only add that I guarantee you that these legal orgs have young lawyers and recent grads foaming at the mouth to do this stuff. Just take a look at The Federalist Society in law schools. The difference from even ten years ago is pretty jarring
  8. Are we not permitted to respond to individual posts and address the specific claims made within? actually, upon re-reading the comment, I think this is a valid criticism. mea culpa
  9. Sure. But the same folks behind this incident are also actively working to get cases in front of SCOTUS to overturn Obergfell. Also, go read the dissent in Lawrence v Texas and try to argue that that's not the current majority opinion of the court should a case be brought. It's going backwards.
  10. How is that post political?
  11. Also a St John's graduate. But I'm sure admission into both had nothing to do with race during the heyday of affirmative action.
  12. You're asking these questions in an attempt to highlight the absurdity of the logical extreme. The answer to all of your questions from our resident libertarians and constitutionalists is "yes."
  13. guy showed up in court today with this on a t-shirt
  14. based on the bathroom comments its clear that he's dealing with a painful UTI that the staff is trying to keep under wraps

Hard to see how this doesn't trickle down to essentially overturn Terry and allow detentions of all persons based on a hunch.
  16. Haha Fuck off Florida
  17. First bet I've placed on a sporting event in like 3 years. Go blue. Edit: that sounds like I'm a gambling addict. I'm not a gambling addict
  18. Conservatives and libertarians... *Silence...

This is what I find so hilarious about our DT posters who rag on aggy. Oh, so you have identical beliefs concerning economics, race, religion, education, taxation, politics, and social issues as aggy, but you want to sit there and mock their intelligence? goodluck.gif
  20. funniest thing I've seen all week. literally laughing out loud in my office. All-timer headline from Australia:
  21. also, better have swangaz galore
  22. But probably has something to do with all those dense urban areas in the deep south and West Virginia
  23. What, Andrew Dice Clay's not available?
