  1. You know what, you're right. We need opposing viewpoints to balance things out. Opposing viewpoints like *checks notes Baselessly suggesting that a trans youth was killed because she probably was dropping n-bombs on Black people. Is that the kind of viewpoint variety that this place needs?
  2. But you just did it last week? Remember? You baselessly speculated that the trans youth in OK was attacked for yelling racial slurs. Then, when called on it, you disappeared. Remember?
  3. how did they find ways to undermine Trump's ban on Muslims entering the country the first time? Snuck through the border?

    LBGTQ

"Maybe the victim was hurling out racial slurs and was attacked for that?" *Gets pushback for being a fucking idiot "Oh, is this what passes for discourse here? Smh"
  5. I dunno man. He compared Trump and Maga to a "barbarians at the gate moment" for the country, in the same monologue in which he picked on Biden about his age. I interpreted the frustration over Biden's age and associated gaffes as being more about needing someone better equipped to meet that moment. I know the type you describe, and I'm not sure Stewart fits that mold, at least based on the 20 mins I watched. Though, tbf, I haven't been keeping abreast of him for at least a decade so maybe he's more like Maher than I'm aware.
  6. I read the other day that one could live quite comfortably in Bhutan for under $400 a month. Sounds like paradise.
  7. Don't listen to these fools. Travelling by rail is great. Second this: https://www.latimes.com/travel/story/2022-12-01/amtrak-coast-starlight-train-ride-los-angeles
  8. oh, I just assumed the shooting was taking place outside and they're all running inside to get away from it.
  9. Boy, can't wait to see the blowback from their voters after they killed the border deal.
  10. Anyone want to talk about Agent Orange while we're doing . . . whatever it is that we're doing now
  11. they should have him do the Willie Wonka thing where he slowly walks out and limps while holding a cane and then toss it to the side and do a little roll and dance
  12. https://www.axios.com/local/salt-lake-city/2024/02/08/utah-school-board-natalie-cline-gender-basketball-threats Utah state school board member Natalie Cline is under fire after posting photos of a high school basketball player, questioning her gender and prompting threats against the girl. Cline, an elected member of the Utah State School Board, posted the photos Tuesday on Facebook, inciting a dogpile of comments identifying the girl, criticizing her appearance. The girl is now under police protection, the Salt Lake Tribune reports, as Granite School District ramps up security at her school.
  13. Ouisie's or Confederate House, imo
  14. Any of you all had the experience of shopping at an Amazon Fresh grocery store? Scan your phone when you walk in, and then the eyes in the sky detect everything that's placed in your cart. No checkout. No payment. Just walk out.
  15. No need to be sorry. I would agree with your assessment. I just don't really see the issue, I guess.
  16. Sigh, if only the craziest thing to come out of Covid was people being overly-cautious.
  17. Yeah and while we're at it, lets get rid of the post-office. Free loading sons of bitches
  18. I still think Antifa/Illegal Immigrant insurance was the way to go. Could've singlehandedly wiped out the Boomer's nest eggs. For just $3.99 a month, you can rest easy knowing that if an antifa or illegal damages you or your property, you will be covered.
  19. GOP should come up with legislation that excludes the Chinese
  20. Mitchell is credited with devising the novel enforcement mechanism in the Texas Heartbeat Act, also known as Senate Bill 8 (or SB 8), which outlaws abortion after cardiac activity is detected and avoids judicial review by prohibiting government officials from enforcing the statute and empowering private citizens to bring lawsuits against those who violate it.[4][5] On September 1, 2021, the Supreme Court of the United States refused to enjoin the enforcement of SB 8, marking the first time that a state had successfully imposed a pre-viability abortion ban since Roe v. Wade.[6] Mitchell has argued five times before the Supreme Court of the United States and authored the principal merits brief in eight Supreme Court cases.[1] Mitchell has also written amicus curiae briefs in the Supreme Court. In Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, Mitchell and a colleague urged the Supreme Court to overrule Roe v. Wade, arguing that overturning Roe should eventually lead to the reversal of other "lawless" court decisions such as those establishing a right to same-sex marriage (Obergefell v. Hodges), while distinguishing and defending the right to interracial marriage recognized in Loving v. Virginia.[13] [14]
