  1. I knew he was going to be good, obviously. I didn't share that at the time because I don't like being seen as a know-it-all. But I knew
  2. I had a libertarian classmate in law school who argued (in class) that fire departments and all other public agencies should be subscription based as all taxation is theft. Looked him up the other day and he's assistant general counsel for the Texas Public Finance Authority where his 6 figure salary is covered by taxpayers.
  3. No, I don't know. That's why I'm asking you, the smug expert. But I do appreciate the insight that the myriad gun, safety, red flag laws, etc. that have been passed on the local and state levels in Democratic controlled regions, are just performative, and thus the Dems are equal to the GOP when it comes to addressing gun violence. Holy shit typing it out makes it seem even more insane than when you posted it
  4. Yes, having the members of this board perform one additional click of the mouse is "ignoring" the issue.
  5. LOL, I literally have a pic of a charred corpse on my second monitor as I prepare for a hearing in a murder case. Its a reasonable request and has nothing to do with "mental weakness." Go fuck yourself Helo
  6. um, maybe we can spoiler that?
  7. Really putting an old testament spin on the classic "Emperor has no clothes" parable
  8. And very easy to see how one could get lost on the way to the stadium
  9. As usual, Slorch hits the nail on the head. During Christmas time, I drive around and see all these upper class people donating their money and time to the underprivileged and you can almost see the imaginary high ground they cling to. Obviously if one were serious about helping the less fortunate, they'd be selling their house, moving into a cheap apartment, and distributing the proceeds to the most needy.
  10. Watched episode 1 last night. Pretty badass
  11. honestly that gives me more hope than anything else I've seen over the last 8 years
  12. Why do we want the youth vote? NYTimes tells me its Biden +1 in 18-29 demo
  13. I think there should also be an ad that's just clips of GOP house members promising to slash SS, Medicare; push a nationwide abortion ban, ban contraceptives, pass laws making it easier for those under 21 and with MH issues to obtain guns, etc. Living in CA, I never see any national ads, but does stuff like this even exist? The closest thing that comes to mind from 2020-2022 is the fucking Lincoln Project.
  14. That reminds me of the time I was playing church league basketball around the age of 5. We had a guy that could shoot lights out (relative to the rest of us.) And this motherfucking fraud of a coach demands that we "share the ball" and get "everyone involved." Couldn't believe it as we watched our lead to St. Luke's slowly dwindle. Ended up losing 6-4. To this day I want to find that guy and ask him if he still thinks that was the right play
  15. Well, yeah. While Army was busy playing a boy's game stateside, aggy was storming the beaches of Normandy, blowing up Panzers in North Africa, and carving out glory holes in the fox holes in the Ardennes.
  16. they should bottle you up and sell you in pill form
