  1. Scott Norwood finally breathes a sigh of relief
  2. To be clear, the people who usually whine the loudest about CR, are the same folks who are fine posting the political opinions that they agree with all over the board. Because those aren't political opinions, simply inviolable truths. There are multiple posters on the Ukraine DT thread who will explain why the Trump admin will be good for Ukraine. If you push back, they call you a CR troll. See also, the Israel-Hamas thread. Pronghorn spams DT with anti-LGBTQ accounts on a daily basis. I've never seen the "keep it in the CR" folks complain about that. In fact, they'll defend his right to do so if you attack him. Does it upset the "CR sucks" folks that the "business and markets" thread is a place to criticize the Biden admin? I see some of you posting in that forum regularly who are some of the most vocal proponents of getting rid of the CR. But again, if its an opinion you agree with, you're fine with it on any forum. So forgive me if it seems like you care less about keeping the CR in the CR, and more about not seeing opinions that run counter to your own.
  3. Had a laugh this morning thinking about Congressman Wesley Hunt. MAGA through and through who also just so happens to be a Black, military helicopter pilot. He now gets to publicly attack Black, military helicopter pilots as interior and the reason dozens are dead. I'm sure his family is super proud.
  4. So....Lyme disease is a military engineered bio-weapon? Or did you quote the wrong post?
  5. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/us-jewish-groups-to-leave-x-due-to-hate-antisemitism-under-elon-musk/ Fourteen groups say they are leaving the platform, including the Union for Reform Judaism, the Central Conference of American Rabbis, Keshet, Mazon, T’ruah, and the Workers Circle. “X has become a platform that promotes hate, antisemitism, and societal division,” the groups say in a joint statement. “Under the leadership of Elon Musk, X has reduced content moderation, promoted white supremacists, and re-platformed purveyors of conspiracy theories. Musk himself has re-posted content that is antisemitic and xenophobic, promoting it to his millions of followers.” \
  6. "we had to elect a guy who tried to overthrow the government because I somehow managed to fuck up my portfolio during a golden age for investors" is certainly a take.

  9. I mean, it is. Go watch MSNBC. About 8 years of this every night. Follow all of those politician's social media accounts. Watch their speeches on the house floor. Hell, the DNC was 3 nights of describing the impact Project 2025 would have. America doesn't care.
  10. @realgreggym when do the adults show up?
  11. Nothing would surprise me. But it's made more frustrating by the fact that I held up my end of the bargain 9 months ago and watched this potential outcome develop in slow motion.
  12. Well all of this will surely help with my application for public service loan forgiveness that's been pending since May of 2024.

  19. Yeah there would definitely be some short term financial pain when CA leaves. Primarily from the cost of building a giant wall on the eastern border to keep out the dumb fucking Americans

  21. You're not wrong in principle, but in Altadena, we're talking neighborhoods that were over 100 years old. This wasn't some recent, ill-advised development.
