  1. It’s the same people that were sure the committee would come to its senses THIS week after they saw the result of the Tech game and realize they were making a big mistake this whole time by having Oregon over Texas. But I’m sure if/when Oregon beats undefeated Washington the Committee will for sure move them below Texas. For sure.
  2. For those that say tomorrow’s rankings don’t matter, I’d say look at Oregon’s ranking vs Texas. If Oregon is still ranked above UT by the committee tomorrow, the door is closed on Texas taking Oregon’s place in the CFP. It will mean the Pac 12 Championship game is a play-in game. If Texas is ranked above Oregon, there will at least be a chance. (Although of course the more likely path would still be the FSU loss and/or Bama win scenarios).
  3. It’s this. The thing that will matter will be who you play against/beat next week. If Oregon beats unbeaten Top 4 Washington (and avenges their only loss of the season) I don’t see how the committee leaves them out, given their bias towards recency. I think it ends up being OSU/Mich, Georgia, Texas, Oregon at the end of the day.
  4. Oregon is not UT’s competition to get in the CFP at this point. Assuming UW gets by Wazzu the PAC 12 champ is in. UT’s path goes through FSU or (less likely) Bama.
  5. I don’t think he’ll pull the plug on X. He’ll just keep it around as it continues to devolve into his own “Truth Social” playground full of hate and dildo ads.
  6. If Oregon wins out they are in the CFP in my opinion. Wins over Oregon State and an (potential) avenging win against UW for the conference championship in their next 2 games? In. I think FSU gets left out, mostly because I think they will lose to Louisville w/o their QB.
  7. While I don’t think Rivian will die (especially with Amazon as a major investor) I completely agree that the Wagoneer is a monstrosity.
  8. Do it! Just got our Rivian R1S and it kicks the shit out of the Model Y. Best of all, no musk on the new car…
  9. Hard to believe this will be a Big 10 game next year. (checks Iowa score)
  10. I mean, yeah you can say “video game” and “no defense”, but compare the stats of the games going on: Interesting that only one of these games is being labeled negatively. That said, fuck $C.
  11. Stanford hosting Wake, SMU and Louisville? Just when you thought their attendance couldn’t get any lower…
  12. How the fuck to you come to that conclusion? Based on who they’ve played their best win is maybe Rutgers. No wins against anyone in the top 25, and they’ve played teams with mostly horrible offenses. They’ve played the following (total offense rank out of 130 teams): #41 (UNLV lol), #106, #108, #110, #115, #120, #121, #127 Fuck Michigan and their pillow-soft POS schedule.
  13. The Big 10 is getting so fucking lucky getting UW/UO/USC/UCLA next year. Iowa beat Wisconsin 15-6 today. Watching something like that sounds like a punishment vs the UW/UO game (or vs any game for that matter).
  14. This is why I’m going to miss “PAC 12 after dark” after this year. Crazy ass results that make you go “whaaa??” when you wake up.
  15. Right, because Pullman, Boulder, Salt Lake City and Corvallis are garden spots in November?
  16. Brent Venables pays at grocery stores using personal checks. And doesn’t start to write the check until all the food is scanned.
  17. Didn’t this thread start (way back in the Shaggy days) as something like “Clemson to the SEC talk not going away”? Or something similar? I’m pretty sure I remember Clemson was the original subject before it became a more general “realignment” thread. it’s hilarious that (probably) dozens of schools have changed conferences since this thread was started on Shaggy, and yet Clemson is still sitting in the ACC with its thumb up its ass.
  18. Not sure that the SEC is Texas-ready tho…
  19. Yeah that seems like made up bullshit to me. Conference tournaments and championships are decided by the conferences, not the NCAA And if this was a rule (which I seriously doubt) it would apply to UT and OU too.
  20. Don’t forget that Cal, the welfare queen, also gets a cut from UCLA’s B1G money of anywhere between $2m-$10m per year.
  21. Why would the networks (who paid a kajillion dollars for the broadcast rights) schedule a game at 10p Eastern that would reduce the audience size that much? I get that the geography is stupid, but let’s get serious. 10p Eastern or 9a Pacific kickoffs (for Eastern/Pacific teams) won’t be the norm.
