  1. It's my sense that those who favor giving KK another year are in a very small minority. It's been six years now with no tangible improvement.
  2. Don't listen to butt fumble. He primarily posts nonsense. KK let Duffey back on the team because regarding the rape allegation, he was never arrested, formally charged, went to court, prosecuted or anything of the sort, much less convicted). In fact, the Lubbock DA (who is an Aggie and not even again running for re-election) refused to press charges. The allegations of his accuser were then made to the university pertaining to Title 9. He was suspended, attempted to sue the university and forced to drop the threatened suit under pressure related to additional penalty thus threatening the continuation of his athletic career. KK's buyout is a very little over 4 million and then 2 million for assistants.
  3. I, of course, have very strong feelings to the contrary, but regarding Hocutt, felt this opinion piece written by a local was very novel and even surprisingly pointed to have been written by what is almost always a very TT friendly local media. Friend of mine sent it to me. https://247sports.com/college/texas-tech/Article/Kansas-State-beats-Texas-Tech-21-6-124904827/
  4. I'm with you in missing the old 360 boards. That was when posting and reading was the most fun by far. It was new and there was something really fun about having all the schools available on one site. Been doing RRS for over 15 years now, though keep telling myself I'm going to give it up. The posters are getting worse and KK really limits information access to the staff. Only time I could stand raiderpower was when Amanda was kind enough to create a private forum for a group of us. Hadn't visited in years now, but appeared unbearable last I saw.
  5. Not sure that's correct regarding KK. At the start of the season anyway, TT led all schools in WRs on NFL rosters are some such accolade. And we've seen his QB recruiting. I'm not sure one could do that without a decent degree of trust.
  6. Rumor of the day is Bob Stoops to Tech. While it is true that Stoops and Hocutt are very tight,, I'm not planning on holding my breath and waiting on that one. That one is pretty far out there.
  7. I believe KK's next stop will likely be an OC spot in the NFL. He already spends a lot of time with NFL types as it is now. Plus his time and exposure to Belichick and 4 or or 5 other NFL teams as a player couldn't hurt.
  8. KK needed to go last year. He's been there six years now and his conference record is currently 19-34, he hasn't won a home conference game other than KU in 3 years, he's had a losing conference record for six straight years now, I could go on. He's had really bad QB injury luck this year, but didn't do any better when he had a talent like Pat Mahomes. KK's buyout is 4 million and change. Approximately 2 million more for assistants, which is on Kirby for giving them unusual 2 year deals. The buyout money plus new coach's money is definitely there. Leach would have come last year, but don't think so this year. Hocutt would be against it anyway. Not sure he really gets it in that many believe Jim Leavitt is his favorite. Horrible choice IMO. Wouldnt surprise me if TT wins the Baylor game to see Hocutt do nothing, offering baseless justification as he did last year. He has great manlove for KK. A few details about Kliff's contract situation. https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2018/9/1/17808950/kliff-kingsbury-contract-buyout
  9. Two words. Kliff Kingsbury. He has not won a home Big 12 Twelve game other than KU in 3 years now.
  10. Do you happen to know the exact nature of his injury or its severity? He wouldnt have played any anyway, but noticed he'd be pretty much out of commission next season. Thanks.
  11. Perhaps true, but 89/59 is hardly indicative of the officiating crew "working hard for the home team". Even considering Big 12 officiating incompetence, it's a fairly silly suggestion.
  12. Tech gets a commitment from Cooper Laake, DL out of Austin Bowie. Among others, profile shows best other offers to be Oregon, Purdue, UH.
  13. Tech had 89 yards in penalties and UT had 59.
  14. Wouldn't be surprised to see another one or two this week end.
  15. Committed to Texas Tech today.
  16. That's kind of what I thought too.
  17. Bregman's new YouTube channel. https://sports.yahoo.com/alex-bregman-surprised-struggling-waitress-500-tip-171028515.html
  18. Fwiw, Rivals as an example, lists Ramsey as the 39th best player in the country. Pretty nice offer list.
  19. Anybody have any idea why Peyton Powell is visiting Tech again this week end? As a TT fan, I'm not expecting a decommitment or anything of the sort. Just find it the timing kind of puzzling. He was there only a week before his UT commitment and has visited multiple times. Landon Peterson visiting again, which is more understandable given his recent decommitment. Perhaps they're just friends and Powell is going along for the ride.
  20. Tech received a 2020 QB commitment this evening. It was Wilson Long out of Regents School in Austin. I'm as big a critic of KK as anybody. Not a fan. About the only thing I trust him about is quarterbacks. That said, this one is something of a head scratcher. Undersized guy (listed at 6 feet tall) who's played against weak competition. Beats me.
  21. Recently received Auburn and Miss Stste offers.
  22. If you don't like Tech, I sure won't lose any sleep over it. Whatever. If you're feeling in the mood to criticize something however, there's probably some value in being factual and accurate. The above is the biggest crock of shit I've ever read here. It's absurd.
  23. Not sure exactly what it means, but Peterson visited Tech yet again last week end and then decommitted from Baylor shortly thereafter. Likewise, Hookfin appears to be pretty cozy with TT, but appears to me as if he's getting the major slow play by the Tech staff.
  24. I don't like to say a lot about our relationship. Let's just say she found me sponge worthy.
  25. I'm a Tech fan, and granted she did win a national championship, but I always considered Marsha Sharp to be a head case. Just try wearing a Baltimore Oriole cap to a home Yankee game and see what happens.
