NFL Week 9
That tweet should more accurately read "Greer agreed to publically state that the parting of the ways was mutual, so that he got a better payoff." The dude has been GM since 2016 and he just now realized that team sucks and its time to step aside. yeah ok.....

I find this debate humorous. LSU is absolutely a better place if you want to win a national championship, because that's the primary reason for the school to exist. They will break rules and societal norms to try to make it happen. Texas is the better job because you don't have to worry about the entire athletic department going broke and your paycheck arriving in the form of nutria pelts and corndogs.

ESPN and The Mouse vs. YouTube TV
yeah, I will just go back to pirating shit. Its easier than ever. I have like 6 stream aggregators bookmarked as well as an entire message board devoted to sports streaming: ttps://therealstreamhub.site/index.php Free media heck yeah might be the most useful link on the internet, it links to an enormous amount of free stuff online, not just sports. This link is just for the sports, but look around, you will be amazed what you find on fmhy.net: https://fmhy.net/video#live-sports EDIT - as alluded to earlier, a lot of streaming sites will have pop-ups and other sketchy shit. Use any of a number of malware scanners/popup blockers if this is the route you go. I play cards with this older rich dude who is technology ignorant. They just had $30K hijacked from their bank account because he watches porn online and has no browser condom. They contacted the bank got it all resolved (money returned) and new accounts set-up. Within a week, $9K more was hijacked from the new account, because the dude has malware on his computer, lulz. His wife is not happy right now, lulz.

What the fuck is wrong with you, Austin?

And yet Deloss was AD for 32 years with one national championship and plenty of shitty coaches. CDC hasn't even been here a decade and has 13 national championship since 2017, and some close finishes in the sport that matters. CDC aint going anywhere for a long long time, at least not because he was forced out by UT. That's crazy talk. Wont happen.
-

And most importantly, the department runs in the black. I genuinely think CDC is the best in the business when you look at all aspects of what an AD needs to do. He's not a buffoon like some of these meatheads so he represents the university well, he seems to really understand and lead when it comes to the financial aspects of running an athletic department at a school like Texas, and across the board we do pretty well. Schools would fire their AD for no reason just for a chance to sniff CDC's boxers if he ever was available on the job market.

I just think calling plays, building a game plan, orchestrating the offense to win a game is his own identity, its his passion. "giving someone else complete control of the offense" as you alluded to in the post I was responding to is basically making Sark a eunuch in his own mind. It won't go well. Edit - just noticed that I thought I was responding to BurntEyes, so I need some coffee. I realize "complete control of the offense" was not your statement,

Scott Wilson
His streak of games seems more out of reach than Dimaggio's record. Sad day for his family, friends, and the university, but that guy lived a long life spent chasing his passions to an extent that few people have the conviction to do. I didn't know the guy, only knew of him, but he got to live the life he wanted to live. Not everyone can say that. RIP to a legend.

I dont see that working. Sark views himself as one of the best OC's in the game, you can't separate that part of him in this job. He'll override that dude in the first big moment, its his identity We can make the demand, and let him look for another job if he doesnt like it, and I'd be fine with that. But what I dont want is a mopey Steve Sarkisian because he can't do what he's been doing his whole career (call plays) and really what he enjoys most. Its a recipe for disaster.

It's also a good way to become a one term governor. Imagine going through all of this pageantry to ultimately end up with Temu boomhauer. Uh....that's not how it works. The reason the contracts spiral out of control is the same reason professional athletes and coaches salaries spiral out of control....there aren't enough of them to go around for all of the schools that think they should be in the mix for a national championship. A large number of the administrators running the show at these ath departments are now making 7 figures themselves. Most of these meatheads aren't willing to risk their own riches on a special teams coach from the MAC conference. The perceived top coaches aren't gonna change jobs for less money.

there's gotta be a better way of answering that question

Texas Basketball 2025-26: It’s Miller Time
That's whats so odd about this era of basketball. Rosters can turnover almost completely every year even when the coach is stable. Throw in a new coach and I have no f'n idea what to expect. I'm skeptical about our guard play, but who the fuck knows, maybe Miller finds a way to make these pieces work and some of these guys develop into reliable shooters that work in his system. We have size all over, thats for sure. Its just amusing to me that I cant even speculate in my mind about what its really gonna look like when we open with......Duke, lulz.

Good. He can fuck that dipshit Landry's mistress and remind everyone. This is already fantastic, but if we get Coach O in the mix... But he may be all they can get if they think they can hire a guy for cheap where there will be a dozen gigs open.

NFL Week 9
They're fucking terrible. Which tells me Atlanta must be a bigger shitpile than I suspected.

Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
It would be worth it just to hear him end his interviews by sizing up the ditsy blond sideline interviewer before guterally mumbling "go beavuhs" with a twinkle in his eye Are you a seat cushion currently located in the head coaches suite?

2025 World Series- Dodgers v Blue Jays
Huh, I did not realize that. Your post made me go look up the box score. That was a true assbeating. Was great to not even have to really sweat a game 3. https://www.espn.com/college-baseball/boxscore/_/gameId/401445822

Will UT Bend the Knee?
- UCLA's return to dominance no longer featuring DeShaun Foster
Ive been to the Rose Bowl for two UT games vs UCLA (98, 11), the UofM RoseBowl and both National Championship games. Its my favorite stadium to watch a college football game as the tailgating was badass, it can hold a shitload of people and still maintain great sightlines. Moving UCLA games to sofi would be a furthering enshittification of the college game, so it will likely happen. But it would be a huge mistake.- Tell me about Nebraska
But still more likeable than Bo Pelini.- Will UT Bend the Knee?
Fuck this clown too. He's basically telling you that they are already working Trump's shaft and cradling his balls. All that's left is to swallow the gravy. And thats only because he and Davis are arguing over who gets the gravy.- Austin FC

that would be a win for everybody in this country. well......except LSU fans.- 2025 World Series- Dodgers v Blue Jays
