  1. From the same site...
  2. I think he's a good coach, I just don't think his career achievements to date differentiate him from Miller. If he wins the national championship this year, my thoughts would likely change, and we'll keep him in mind if we have another opening. The NIT of today means nothing to me, sorry. I didnt give a shit when Texas won it under Shaka.
  3. I'd feel the same about McCasland as I do Miller.... McCasland >> RT, decent hire but I hoped for better. Don't get me wrong, the lulz factor from stealing another Tech hoops coach would have been fantastic, but his tourney achievements to date are OK, not great. 2021 (13 seed) - Won vs 4 seed, Lost vs 5 seed 2024 (6 seed) - Lost vs 11 seed 2025 (4 seed) - Won vs 14 seed, Won vs 11 seed, Won vs 10 seed A trip to the elite 8 is nice, but its not like Miller doesnt have a few of those, including taking Xavier there in his 4th year.
  4. Robotaxi is a fucking joke. Waymo is delivering 200K rides (1M miles) a week right now. They are far ahead of whatever micky mouse bullshit TSLA will announce. Whatever the total market is, half the country wont even consider putting a nickel in elons businesses. Likely the only thing that can continue to prop up Elon's wealth now will be government orders. And he will get them. Lots of them. Government programs that provide benefits to US citizens are being eliminated at the same time that our tax dollars will be redirected to prop up his business empire.
  5. He's too much of a waste of oxygen for me to bother looking it up, but didnt he talk a bunch of nonsensical shit about Texas after he bailed. Fuck him.
  6. Are you a naive 5 year old child? You can assume "debaucherous crap" goes on anywhere there is a lot of wealth. Europe, NA, SA, Asia, Middle east.....it dont make a fuck. People with more wealth than they can ever spend get into some pretty crazy shit. Been that way for thousands of years. Assuming we dont wipe each other of the face of the earth, it will still be that way one thousand years from now.
  7. Why should rich people have to follow the law? Fuck that guy.
  8. Even if the board wanted to fire Musk (they don't), they are in a complete catch 22. The ENTIRE reason that Tesla trades at a market cap almost 20X greater than GM is because of all of Elon's sycophants. He's a cult of personality, just like Trump. FY2024 revenue: GM - $171B , TSLA - $97B FY 2024 Net income: GM - $6B, TSLA - $7B (but includes $600M in BTC gains and $2.7B in regulatory credits) Toyota, VW, and a whole host of other auto OEMs make more profit and trade at fractions of TSLA's market cap. At the end of the day, they are a fucking automotive manufacturer. Remove that shitstain from the company and its valuation plummets. The time to fire Elon was 5+ years ago when his complete batshit crazyness started up. But now they have shoved all of their chips into the middle of the table and they will have to see how the hand plays out. Lucky for them, Elon is now running the country so he can start transferring even more of our tax dollars to his companies.
  9. I always enjoy a good arky choke job. Fuck off piggy.
  10. Zion put up numbers in 2019
  11. They will probably make her play in a burka and crocs next season
  12. Wasnt Strong like our 5th choice or some shit? I admit PTSD from that era has probably resulted in me blocking a lot of shit about that era out of mind, but were we gonna make Saban coach in blackface?
  13. Its been 4 years and HookemATL still cant pick out avocados without breaking into the sweats.
  14. In todays game, recruits will go where they get paid, can build a brand, and jump to the league. At Texas, in Austin, playing in the SEC.....I hope that sells, lulz. Here's the 247 recruiting rankings for Zona for the years he was there (no data for the first couple of years) Yr Rank 5* 4* 9 10 11 4 2 2 12 3 3 1 13 11 2 1 14 3 1 3 15 3 2 2 16 9 2 1 17 3 2 3 18 23 0 3 19 6 2 1 20 7 0 5 21 NR - - Thats more than enough talent to make deep runs. Now obviously he never got past the Elite 8, but it wasnt because he couldnt get any talent. I bet they missed SeanMiller-TexasFootball, which is the obvious play here
  15. I couldnt recall why I knew that name, so I looked it up. Thats pretty badass. Will be a young coach. Allright, I went down a bit of a youtube rabbit hole. This is a video about UNI and Farokhmanesh in that tourney. Cool stroll down memory lane, and Farokhmanesh is wearing shorts that reminded me of just how ridiculously hilarious the baggy shorts look got around that time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DiPr2-FtRc
  16. There is no "seems" about it. I am amazed at how many people have no idea how fucked this country is going to get how quickly. Too many people are assuming that the protections/firewalls we relied on in the past are still a thing. Lulz, she'd suck Trumps dick tomorrow and he's the model of incompetence. This stupid whore is just trying to get people to remember she exists.
  17. I see logic isnt your thing.
  18. He's not gonna die on any hill. He knows he's lying, he knows the whole world knows he's lying, and he also knows he is safe to continue to say or do whatever the fuck he wants because his party has control right now and they havent stopped him from this bullshit one time in 8 years.
  19. Fuck over american consumers who wish to buy cars, no problem. Cut a deal for China so some of his tech bro buddies can buy Tik Tok, sure.
  20. Wheeeeeeeeeeee https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-03-26/trump-prepares-auto-tariff-announcement-as-soon-as-wednesday Thats what american consumers were begging for Donald. A 25% increase on the price of a new car. That will help with the ole inflation numbers.
  21. Not an Austin institution by any stretch, but anyone remember El Chino(s?) on 6th street. I remember when I first showed up in Austin and didnt have a fake ID, it could prove challenging to drink on 6th street. But you could show any ID at the door of El Chino and they would let you in. Like you could show them your drivers license that said you were 18, and you'd get waived in and allowed to drink. The place served a purpose.
  22. it amuses me that the article tries to put a positive spin on possible revenue contributions from a f'n diner. Tesla's revenue has been around $100B a year for the last two years. I just checked and Wendys, which has ~5800 locations in the US alone, reported revenues of about $2.5B last year, and net income of $195M. A single diner (or 1000 diners) is just noise in the TSLA revenue picture. Edit - having given this more than 10 seconds of thought, I have to assume that the Wendy's corporation revenue is just franchise royalties and fees. The total revenue is probably 2M per franchise, so call it ~$12B in revenue and being generous $2B in profit. But we also know, Tesla aint opening up thousands of restaurants.
  23. And yet somehow when they cheat on their spouses, diddle little kids, embezzle church funds, etc... all they gotta do is ask their sky daddy for forgiveness. All good!
