No. The IRS had developed a tax e-filing system where within certain constraints, they could send you what you owed in taxes and you can pay, and there was no cost or "filing fee". I think they tested it first last year and the feed back was pretty positive. I believe it was going to be available to a much larger number of people this year. But that would mean less money for the billionaires of Intuit, who has a long history of obstructing this development. It was on the cusp of reality so maybe they killed it for their Intuit tech bros. Or maybe they wanted to develop their own system, who the fuck knows at this point.
I'm back in front of my computer and the latest I read from the AP indicates there may be some confusion on what the fuck he did. I cant believe we're letting this dude just pick and choose what government programs to end. Lunacy.
