  1. it's not fake, the key to making perfect foam is using very cold milk.
  2. Yeah I think she went to high school in Katy iirc. I've actually thought a bit about this and agree with you, it seems to me that she would factor in heavily to this decision. I will never ever come close to enjoying the wealth that Alex Bregman, his wife, or even his grandkids have decades from now. According to spotrac, he has earned $107,873,010 in his career thus far and reportedly has an offer for another $156 MILLION DOLLARS from Jim Crane and the Astros organization. I'm not exactly one to side with billionaires and capitalists in general, so I completely understand Bregman's position wrt PAY ME MY BAG YOU'RE FILTHY RICH JIM CRANE but at some point you have to ask yourself what you are playing for and how much is enough etc. Does it really affect his life and his ability to live a lavish lifestyle if he's earning $20 million per year vs $26 million? Bregman is adored in Houston for what he's meant to the WS teams, his leadership in the clubhouse, his defense, and his brash attitude that rubs other fans the wrong way but the way he's handled this is wearing fans out. If it's really just about the money now, move the fuck on.

  4. Agree with all but the bolded. WHY??? He doesn't have the leverage or the market he thinks he deserves and it's not crazy to think that the best offer he has received is the first offer from the Astros. Why would you expect Crane and Brown to bid against themselves here. It's almost time for pitchers and catchers to report and we're still dealing with this will he or won't he drama? Goddamn Alex, make a damn decision already. Stop listening to Scott Boras and listen to your buddy and teammate Jose Altuve, who notably did not pull any shit like this and ordered Boras to get a deal done because he wanted to stay in Houston. And now he's gone to the team and said he'd play left if necessary to get Alex back in the clubhouse. I do not begrudge Bregman doing what's best for him and his family, but at this point it feels like he's holding the Astros and especially Astros fans hostage. He has an overly generous offer on the table from Jim Crane. He is a good player, but he is not a superstar talent and he hasn't made the All Star team in quite some time. Take the deal as is or move on. Just make a decision.
  5. fify seriously though.....this is a big issue for me wrt messaging from the opposition party. Stop saying MAGA. Stop giving Republicans an extra layer of protection through an unnecessary adjective. MAGA IS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. REPUBLICANS ARE EVIL PIECES OF SHIT AND MUST BE DEFEATED. FUCK ALL REPUBLICANS.
  6. Every motherfucking Dem in Congress needs to be saying this right now, without restraint, without any fucks given for the pearl-clutching Republicans whining about politicizing this tragedy (while their god king does exactly that).
  7. So we're supposed to time travel backwards to protest causes our past selves deemed unnecessary and grandstanding?
  8. same kind of dumbfucks who think the LA fires were a conspiracy by the global elites
  9. bothsides amirite? politics, pfffffffffffffft!!! they're ALL the same!! gummint exists only to line the pockets of the rich politicians!
  10. If I'm Crane, I tell Dana to rip up that original offer and tell Bregman the new offer is something like 4 yrs/106 and he can take it or leave it.
  11. great discussion here about some of this. it's worth watching.
  12. you didn't break any echo chamber, there are ample voices here who come from different backgrounds, occupations, and lived experiences who don't agree on everything posted in CR. whatever argument you're trying to make here is some baby-brained silliness.
  13. what the fuck are you even arguing? you're making very little sense. typical bothsides idiot is you.
  14. feckless, cowardly milquetoast moderate moron who deserves a lion's share of the blame for this authoritarian idiocracy. He bent over backwards to give the appearance of a "fair and balanced" investigation and prosecution of an obvious traitor and seditionist who deserves prison for his actions that he allowed a bullshit narrative of "weaponized justice" to seed and grow in the agonizingly slow process that all his doing. Then that idiot bus flattened him as he stood in the middle of the road with his limp dick in his hand.
  15. lol my bad wrong thread
  16. This Bregman drama just illustrates how much of a relief it is to have traded Tucker when we did. I'm so glad we don't have to worry about that shit next year.
  17. and he would have been elected five years ago if he played for a "legacy" franchise
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG FELLA!!! Houston will always love you.
  19. I look forward to another kicker. Fairbairn is great for fantasy football with all his 50+ yd FG attempts but he's also a choker in big games and I knew he would miss those FGs just like he did last year against Baltimore at the end of the first half that would have given the Texans a lead going into the locker rooms. Someone else pointed it out up thread but that missed PAT was massively deflating. The defense is balling out, the offense puts together a killer long drive that ends in a Mixon TD and Kaimi flushes all those good vibes away with an idiot kick. Get rid of him.
  20. then just about every NFL fan outside of KC is aggy because the officiating in this one is a big topic
