  1. Huge loss for Houston sports fans
  2. Don't you dare put those Tony Biselli vibes out there!
  3. Exactly. it's crazy how many regular working class folks and even the upper middle class making six or seven figures a year refuse to recognize the absurd reality that we allow so many billionaires to exist without taxing them fairly. Not to mention how marginal tax rates work in practice. Billionaires imo should not exist. As Bernie Sanders put it, "I think people can survive just fine, you know, on NINE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE MILLION DOLLARS."
  4. And once the video came out, quite a few of us had it pegged early on as another right-winger wanting to own the libs with violence.
  5. I highly doubt it. Notice how he hasn't said anything about him since the judge unsealed all the evidence of his social media posts that paint a clear picture of his motivations that day, not to mention his racist and groomer characteristics? The maga morons will just move on to their next BIg White Aggrievement Issue and pretend Daniel Perry was actually Daniel Penny and was justified in choking a man to death on a NYC subway.
  6. Man. I'm so sad to hear this news and blown away to learn that one of my favorite writers at TM and Houston Press was a popular and prolific surly contributor. I"m a nobody on twitter (and irl) but geronimolomax was one of my few followers and I especially appreciated his colorful thoughts on Houston, Austin, and our shared love of the Houston Astros. I was born just two months before him, attended HISD public schools spent my youth riding a bike around the Rice/Village area and my high school years in Montrose. Everything he wrote felt like it hit so close to home for me, a lot like Linklater's films. I wish I'd been lucky enough to have met him and called him a friend because he had a lot to say and a gift for saying it. For those here who knew him personally, I'm so sorry for your loss. MAC will be missed.
  7. well fwiw I'm a Machete truther but even I think he needs to not be playing more than Diaz
  8. tonight's a great night to start a winning streak
  9. Is the Twins thread shitting on Correa as hard as we shit on Abreu and Machete?
  10. THat's a YOU problem then. The fact that McTaggart wasn't tweeting up a storm about it the way Rome was leads me to believe Rome's personal animus to the Astros organization was doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Baker was asked the question "is he hitting" and he said "no, he's not hitting, we just decided to take it easy for a couple of days." That leaves out a lot of context and I wouldn't be surprised at all if Baker was being intentionally vague specifically because of Chandler's shitty personality. He knows Rome wants to stir shit and probably enjoys giving him just enough to fuck with him. I think Astros Twitter is reading too much into this because of Rome's antics.
  11. @HtownHorn Read Rome's tweets and then read McTaggart's and tell me if you think one of those two guys is injecting a lot of his own opinion to get engagement on twitter.
  12. shut him down??? Dusty just told you he's very close to playing. Why are you letting dipshits like Chandler Rome pull on your leash?
  13. Yet he just played a number of games in AAA?
  14. I hope you guys realize there's a very good chance that Chandler Rome is being a dickhead again and not taking Dusty at his word that it's just for rest and he's very close to playing. We all had similar freakouts about Yordan, remember? The tweet McTaggart wrote is significantly different in tone than the alarmist one Rome tweeted above. I know which one of these guys I trust and which one I don't. I'm just sayin is all.
