  1. I have my thoughts on where the pitching staff stands here
  2. I'm curious what effect, if any, the new minor league options rules may have on these roster decisions. Teams are now limited to five options moves per player per each option-eligible season.
  3. France is on day 4 of rest, I expect he gets skipped in his next turn at Sugar Land and called up to start in place of Urquidy.
  4. Fortunately JP France has been excellent at AAA and Whitley decent despite his ERA because overall the Space Cowboys have sucked ass the first month of the season. Their offense is dead last in the PCL by a wide margin in team OPS (.692), runs scored (104) and OBA (.326) and uncharacteristically they are 3rd-worst in striking out. Justin Dirden has a whopping .576 OPS with 1 HR and 4 RBI in 20 games. It's impossible to overstate how much he's sucked and how big of a disappointment he's been since getting sent back to AAA after spring training. On the pitching side they are slightly better but not by much with a team ERA of 6.09 (6th in the PCL), 1.72 WHIP (7th), and a league-low 206 Ks. But at least the staff is 2nd in fewest walks allowed..... In summary, the Space Cowboys fucking suck as reflected by their 8-18 record. Hopefully France and Whitley are up to the task because the task just got a lot harder.
  5. this is my expectation
  6. Hensley, Bannon, Meyers, and Machete all in the same lineup. Dusty making dad julks writing tonight's lineup......
  7. That looks like a AAAA lineup jfc
  8. Not a chance. What would ever motivate him to sell? Owning an NFL franchise is owning a money printer and I can't imagine the guy does much day-to-day work. He gets the fruits of others labors in a highly protected business environment with no outside competition. He doesn't need the liquid assets from selling the team, and if he wants money to buy expensive yachts, airplanes, and houses across the world, any bank will give him whatever he wants at zero percent interest.
  9. any update on Yordan's neck?
  10. And no one will care if/when Stroud becomes a franchise qb and Anderson achieves Pro Bowl status.
  11. I'm curious to hear how the critics think the Texans should have drafted. Anderson at 2 and then wait on a QB at 12? Who would that have been, Will Levis? Or BPA at 12 and then punt on QB until later? If so, who?
  12. You beat me to it. Precisely the point of my comment about some of these posters just shitting on the Texans because they're the Texans.
  13. Not to mention the fact that some posters in this thread have never heard of Justin Fields or what he did in the 2022 NFL season.
  14. This S2 shit that came out right before the draft is pretty much the only knock on CJ Stroud. There's ample tape of him processing the game of football against college opponents and tape of him carving up Georgia's defense, not to mention the in-person interviews and analyses of scouts and his own coaches.
  15. Dude, we are all already aware of it. It's just rumors and draft noise. This happens every year.
  16. This is such nonsense considering the small sample size of this test. We know the Wonderlic wasn't predictive and this is just the new iteration of that. Very few QBs become great QBs regardless of where they score on this test. I think you are foolish to buy into this dumb pre-draft noise when every NFL team with a need at QB would have taken CJ Stroud if given the chance. EXACTLY
  17. He's buying into that S2 bullshit. The last time the Texans drafted a first rd qb who tested poorly turned out to be a pretty great football pick. Justin Fields is looking pretty good right now
  18. It's not so much about them as it is about Texans "fans" who post in the Texans threads. But to answer your question: JJ Watt, Andre Johnson, Steve Slaton, Arian Foster, Duane Brown, DeAndre Hopkins, and Deshaun Watson. They weren't wrong about Tunsil either. I've been wrong many times about the Texans, will be wrong many more times I'm sure, but I don't think anyone is wrong to be FUCKING PUMPED over this draft so far on the heels of the hiring of DeMeco Ryans. The Texans traded up to take two selections in the top three, and Will Anderson is seen by many as the most can't miss prospect in the draft. They got a QB and a pass rusher, the most important positions of need, and you're pissing in the draft campfire.
  19. entire farm? how???? what the fuck man. they gave up their own #1 next year with one first rd pick still in their pocket (and my bet is Cleveland's 2024 #1 pick is more valuable), their second rd pick this year, their 3rd rd pick next year and received Arizona's 4th rd pick this year. To get a stud DE who started as a freshman for Nick Saban at Alabama. Take off your shit-colored glasses and enjoy the evening.
  20. Boselli was an injury washout
  21. Zeus, Wu, and bill have been wearing the shit-colored glasses so long for the Texans that if it were 1978 they'd shit on the Oilers for trading their first and second rd picks to draft Earl Campbell with the #1 overall. JFC you fucksticks are a beating. Every Texans fan should be ecstatic over this draft.
  22. i am bookmarking this tweet
  23. Astros are 11-7 vs >.500 teams, by far the best in MLB.
