  1. Dan Wilson is doing great work destroying the bullshit lies from ding dong dipshits like Joe Rogan.
  2. They don't hold the tiebreaker over KC or Detroit. One of them holds a better intradivisional record and the other has the H2H advantage.
  3. Whitcomb going out with a bang.
  4. at least a few thousand units of unsold salsa
  5. Whitcomb is lucky he doesn't have 4 5 errors in the box score because that throw home trying to nail Rodriguez missed badly.
  6. I still want Seattle eliminated asap.
  7. This is painful to watch. jeezus.
  8. Man, get him out of the game. He cannot play third base.
  9. That kid has the major yips.
  10. apparently this team doesn't want to send Seattle on an October vacation today. Whitcomb cannot play third. jfc.
  11. what a bullshit inning this is
  12. Did you realize that there will be no 100-win teams in the postseason this year, the first time that has happened since 2014? The 88-74 wild card San Francisco Giants won the World Series that year by taking out Pittsburgh in the wc playoff game, Nationals in the LDS, Cardinals in the NLCS, and deciding 7th game vs KC in the World Series.
  13. exactly this. I don't give a shit about anything else in the regular season except Seattle being eliminated.
  14. I never doubted. I was pessimistic, sure, but back in the spring when we were sucking dong I knew it was very likely they would turn it around and get on a roll to get back in the division race and lean on their postseason experience to carry them back to the playoffs. The speed at which the Mariners collapsed was obviously very helpful and surprising. What a massive choke job.
  15. he's also mostly sucked in the playoffs and he's sucking now. no reason to risk him blowing up early in a pivotal playoff game.
  16. Kessinger was asked about that play in the postgame and said (paraphrasing here) "they hit a bunch of balls hard up the middle and it's funny because right before he hit it I was thinking to myself 'he's gonna hit one up the middle that's going to hit off the mound' and then he did and I just had to make the play".... When asked why he thought that, he said he's always trying to anticipate the challenging plays that could happen to be ready for them and that makes the easy plays that much easier.
  17. Yeah that was odd, I get him wanting to be the walk-off hero but why would you not want to take your base to at least put pressure on the opposing pitcher to throw strikes since a walk or another hbp scores the tying run?
  18. I kept a promise to myself to just suffer through the ending so I could miss the traffic jam at home before heading to bed. From the moment Neris bounced his very first pitch past Diaz to allow the ghost runner to third and a 1-0 count, I was absolutely certain they were scoring the tying run AT BEST and we were likely getting walked off to lose it. Never once thought we had a chance at all to actually close that game out in the 10th, until Kessinger made that incredible play. I still cannot believe Tyler Wade didn't score on Neris' walk to Elias Diaz. How was he not breaking home there? That ball got far enough away from Yainer that I thought he would have scored if he'd gone right away. And Neris getting Arraez to ground out up the middle followed by a K of Tatis Jr??? Nails. Still didn't think that was gonna be enough though with Machado at the plate with the bases loaded. I cannot believe that review on the HBP to Profar. What the fuck.
