If I understand tariffs right, the end user is the one who pays the cost. If the Federal Govrnment is the end user, all they’re doing is paying themselves back. Tax the import then pay extra for the result. Yeah foreign buyers it’s different as they will see a higher cost. But I dunno, our shit’s so good it may not matter. If you don’t like the price of an F35, go make you OWN stealth fighter.

I’ll allow it. We all should. If we are dispassionate haters of everything Russia, we also keep our dislike of the anti-war crowd in check. If they’re coming over, if only for awhile, we welcome them.

So again, is it wrong to all the sudden be optimistic? Next thing to watch is if we actually do give/sell them some more kickass American weapons. The hawk Republicans need to talk up the fact selling weapons creates high-end, technical, American manufacturing jobs. There is a segment of American blue collars who would buy into that. Enough people to flip Ukrainian support to “yes.”

Awesome music you only recently discovered
YouTube’s algorithm is awesome. Brings me stuff it thinks l might like, then sucks me in for a hour. Recently it’s been hitting me with 20-30 yo music. Very disappointed I didn’t listen to this stuff when I was young. I never gave Kid Rock a chance. His first 5 years of hard rock kicks ass. Just one big dis track on the World.

I wish my sister would date him just long enough for me to get in the same room as him that I can kick his ass.

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning
Finally saw it. I liked it but not as good as the movies in the MI:3-5 run. They just tried too hard with a complex story and sucked out the humor, kinda like they did with Infinity War and Endgame. But I'm in for the finale of course.

So he picks a woman who isn't a political hack loaded up with botox and plastic? Is this another win?

Everything is Shit: Tracking the Great Enshittening
Streaming live sports sucks in general. There's a long enough of a lag from real time that the posts in my text groups spoil everything. I see the text before I see it on Hulu.

1234 Looks to me like mostly O&G first. Our President is hung up on lowering gas prices (despite the negative impacts to US producers.) This gets that with the ancillary benefit of harming Russian oil revenue (because of lower prices.) Again, I don't wanna stan for this guy, but the deal has merit.

Wick is Pain
When his first movie came out I was, "Yawn another shoot 'em up" came out. Watched it on Amazon on the rec of a friend and was immediatly sucked in. He's an adequate actor but tremendous entertainer. Just like Tom Cruise you see him trying SO hard you just gotta pull for him. You aren't cheering on John Wick so much as Keanu Reeve. I hope they get into the part about who it was who stepped up with the emergency financing. It's a great story in itself.

Another article. At risk of wish casting, this looks very positive. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/the-tables-have-turned-and-putin-s-russia-is-now-in-dire-trouble/ar-AA1DZsgR?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=U531&cvid=8adb5a1091c84303b609b802c96b5441&ei=17 Article goes into sunshine pumping from there, but so what. This is a very good thing.- Ukraine War
The Russian nation is the same collection of shitbaggery they’ve always been.- Tesla
Yeah any turnaround would require some turnover on the board. You’d think the big investors would want to see change, and they’ll push for it? Or lol no?- Tesla
Tesla still has a chance, but the window is closing quick. Gotta get rid of Elon of course, and make a big deal of it. Hire a rather traditional car exec as CEO then go on an apology tour. Car exec gets the books in order, stops the dumb stuff and takes a hard look at the FSD thing. Mayby pause it until technology picks up. Tesla's charging system is the standard, or close. They have a good model with how they do charging stations. License to the Buccee's, Kwik Trip, etc. Seems those guys would be all in, They don't make money on gas anyway and "trapping" your customers in your lot for 30 min to charge is gonna sell a lot of Pepsi. Lastly, the bigs walking back from EV's is a big opportunity. Making EV's is hard, and it looks like it's so different ICE expertise doesn't translate over well. So as the bigs walk back, Tesla steps in. Refresh your lineup, for God's sake ditch the Cybertruck, lean in to what you're good at and don't be assholes. This doesn't hafta be hard. And even as a rural Conservative, I hope they succeed. The tech is fascinating and the cool things they come up with "leak out" to other things. Friggen electric tools today are awesome. Battery backup for hog barns, solar panels in pasture, etc. Awesome.- Markets still falling like whoa
Wait. The market closed the day up!? What the heck.- Latest Hot Teacher Has Sex with Student
