  1. Yes Will posted here. He now lives in Hawaii. He’s had a rough go of things, and I am not sure he is around here anymore.
  2. You read that correctly. I don’t like them but others do and that’s totally fine. It’s a great gun - just doesn’t work for me. I’m not a “I don’t like it so you shouldn’t either” guy.
  3. SA-35 has had major issues. Most have been fixed but if I was buying a hi-power it wouldn’t be that one. That’s why I did thumbs down - not because of the platform.
  4. Rooster was great. I have a shitload of stories about that place but I’m sure there are others on here that have more. Rooster would remember a name forever. He could meet you 1 time in Austin and see you / years later in Dallas and know your full name. It was amazing.
  5. Shit. That grimes kid at texum Aggy was a 5 star reeled in by Jimbo Fisher. He can’t even crack the 2 deep but he was lit at North Carolina
  6. Ex girlfriend changed careers and went GIS. Worked out well for her. She worked for police departments. Smoking hot but crazy.
  7. What they really wanted is Colt’s license to sell in canada. Then Canada banned guns.
  8. I dislike these guns. But that’s a fantastic example. Dope.
  9. Beautiful. Back in production and triggers are awesome.
  10. Lolz. Yes I did. When the next stupid 90 year old vegetable in a wheel chair does on the other side of the aisle I’ll say “thank god” then too. These mother fuckers steal your money and your stupid ass says thanks.
  11. Edit- I feel I need to elaborate on the “x amount of force” piece. If one has a high caliber revolver one must hang on for dear life. There just isn’t a ton of real estate there and then add in the recoil and it can be a beating. Semi auto pistols 9mm and below require similar grip and force - the delta between 9mm and 22lr isn’t nearly as great as the delta between an Anaconda and a VP9.
  12. Where is the issue originating? Shoulder area? Chest? Her gripping tighter with the right hand is causing those accuracy issues. If the you think about applying 100lbs of force between both hands gripping the pistol, most grip tighter with the right and it should be the opposite. Left hand should be applying 55lbs and right hand 45lbs (for example). Properly gripping a handgun requires x amount of force and could potentially decrease depending on caliber but there is nowhere to go past 22lr. Did she have an instructor present? A diagnostic trip would be fruitful - let’s figure out what’s going on. If she is in austin I am happy to help.
  13. We had a lady come in the shop about a year ago saying her LCP didn’t shoot straight. Owner took it to the range and put 7 rounds through the same hole. Lolz.
  14. 1911’s are funny to me. John Moses Browning is considered the godfather of automatic pistols. He makes the 1911 and hates it. Entire world loves the 1911. JMB makes the hi-power and loves it. Most of the world hates the hi-power. I like 1911’s for the nostalgia and awesomeness of the platform - but they have their quirks. I’ll always have one and you don’t need to spend a ton of money to get a good one. But the high dollar ones are incredible.
  15. Lots to unpack here but I’ll go in order Canik - I don’t like them but I have no beef with their build quality or reliability. It is a proven platform. I would buy the mete sft pro but you would prefer the mete sfx pro. Glock - go 47 here. 34 has the 19m slide lock that you like but you can get that aftermarket. 320’s- I hate the M series and I hate the egg grip. Go x grip all day. I worked with a guy in Ohio at an event last month that got shot in the leg running a course 8 months ago. I don’t trust them. M&P - great guns. Echelon - new. They’re ok. I’d pass for now. PDP - all day. Fucking great. Slide serrations chew my fingers up but they shoot straight and are hyper reliable. 509 - trigger sucks. FN can’t sell these guns right now. Hard pass. PPQ - Pass VP9 - I have 5. You do the math. Try a p30L. You’ve got a pretty good list there. No 1911? All the pistols I sell now are 2k and up - but I’ve sold ALOT of these guns.
  16. Made in both USA and Austria. No difference in production models.
  17. I don’t like revolvers for women shooting handguns for the first time Id buy her a tx-22 and tell her to put 1500 rounds through it with an instructor while you stay home Then let her go to a gun store and noodle 9mm pistols until she finds one she likes that costs at least $550. Ive helped this customer 100+ times. This almost always works. I still shoot 22 pistols as a training tool.
  18. If you want some recs from your resident gun guy let me know.
