  1. Speaking of Humble breweries, has Ingenious popped up on these threads yet? Any thoughts?
  2. It's the guest bedroom, so the toe stubbing is reserved for folks I want out of my house anyway.
  3. It's what my folks called the glass throughout the house. It's thick and wavy like an old coke bottle. I'm sure there is a more technical term but I'm too lazy to look it up.
  4. Headboard I built out of an interior coke bottle glass door from my parents 1920s era house.
  5. All is good in the Coyote household. I think my brother will really enjoy the fresh scent of poly tonight. Iā€™ve updated you all with a picture. In case you were wondering, yes, that bed runner was strategically placed in that manner.
  6. Hadnā€™t really thought about eBay. Funny stuff. Iā€™d be willing to bet she spent $150 minimum.
  7. Guess who got to do 90% of the sanding before calling it quits to get some sleep?
  8. That green sticky note... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Nothing. She was so proud of her bargain finds. Unlimited budget and this is the shit she comes home with. To her credit, I walked out to the garage this morning to two almost finished tables. Kind of surprised. The bigger one had this pile of shit inside and weighed 85 lbs.
  10. Brother and SIL are coming to visit. We moved into our house a few months ago and still havenā€™t finished furnishing the guest bedrooms. Wife left this morning to buy everything to finish out the rooms, bedside tables being the big ticket item. Sheā€™s adamant about having everything In order before they get here. Walking out the door she asks what her budget is, I tell her that I just want her to find something she is happy with. She shows up with mismatching barley twist antique bullshit from a shop in old town Spring and some 80 grit sandpaper that the dipshit in the store told her to buy to ā€œrestoreā€ them. My brother and SIL will be here tomorrow afternoon.
  11. Unfortunately heā€™s not mine. BIL got him 30 miles North of the Johnson Ranch. Stalked him for several miles and popped him coming over that hill. 16 point, scored him at 216.5. Iā€™m not sure what he weighed. BIL is 6ā€™ 2ā€ for reference. Big deer for sure.
  12. There are some good deer up in the panhandle.
  13. My comment was referencing the welding trucks in midland that are jacked up and drive 20 over in a straight line. Welders are notoriously the biggest dumbasses in the oilfield. They donā€™t give a fuck. They will tailgate you up to about two feet, but they arenā€™t changing lanes. Hard to smoke that red and scroll the local Facebook gun group while changing lanes.
  14. I donā€™t know where you live, but having moved from Midland to the Houston area, Houstonā€™s sedans driving 20+ over the speed limit at any given time weaving through traffic and running red lights is far more concerning as a driver. Those lifted F350 welding trucks may drive like maniacs, at least they do it in a straight line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I always enjoy your yearly posts from the panhandle. My folks just 30 miles west of the ranch caught 4 inches of snow while you were out there. Did you guys stick to Alanreed or head in to McLean now that itā€™s wet?
  16. Yeah itā€™s solid. The off menu jalapeƱo appetizer is like crack. Just ask for the bowl of jalapeƱos.
  17. Cork and Pig is really good as well if you find yourself closer to Odessa. Thereā€™s also a little restaurant connected to it that has a great brunch, I canā€™t remember the name. Speaking of brunch, go to The Bar. Get the CFS and ask to have it covered in the green sauce and gravy.
  18. Thereā€™s a thread around here somewhere. Dona Anitaā€™s for Mexican Up In Smoke for BBQ Garlic Press is good Rayā€™s Italian Bistro is good Walk St Bar and Grill is good Opals Table is very good.
  19. Nope. I was just out there all last week and went to both Pinkies and WB. Had them search their system for a number of good bottles and nada. I think the local bourbon group scoops up everything allocated out there. I went to Pinkies on Andrews Hwy at 10:30 one Thursday morning about 6 months ago (day the truck comes). The lady sold the entire case of W12 to the first guy that came in at 10.
  20. Iā€™m in for some Blantons and W12. Please PM me if you still have some available. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. 2008 was a very bad year to be in burnt orange in Lubbock.
  22. Looks fantastic. What kind of smoker did you get?
  23. You name dropping cooks is hilarious. You and bottlecap should team up for a newsletter.
  24. I got one in Amarillo a few weeks back driving through.
