  1. One of Ziehan’s points that is really interesting is that the KGB has basically run Russia since ~1985, and that they haven’t been educating new talent / training new people to run stuff. So every time Putin has some mid to upper level KGB guy “disappeared” as a scapegoat, it’s one less qualified candidate to actually run stuff. Well, Putin just fired/jailed/liquidated a significant portion of the future leader candidate pool, and maybe put some serious distance between himself and the rest of the KGB. At some point maybe the KGB starts helping someone they see as a successor to Putin that can bolster the current power structure before a little revolution starts and a Navalny or Khodorkovsky type gets elected and really cleans out the KGB.
  2. A nation’s existential crisis at the hands of a foreign power brings bad actors in line and crime goes way down. Also, just because guys are somewhat corrupt doesn’t mean they aren’t patriotic. Murder rate in the US halved when WW2 got going:
  3. The problem with Zeihan is he’s too hyperbolic with his presentation of things - it’s either “ok” or “FUCKED!!!!!” If he would dial that down and be a little more nuanced his predictions would be more accurate. He is somewhat entertaining though.
  4. Ok this is serious hardcore graphic, so you’ve been warned. Complete destruction of tracked vehicle with burnt Orc corpses scattered about, one of which landed on the roof of an adjacent building. The narrator says something like, “this is what happens when you come uninvited”. http://
  5. Another from today. http:// https://v.redd.it/g9yiuf0ccpy81/HLSPlaylist.m3u8?a=1654824601,OTNiMGRjNGIxNDI1OTRhOWFlMGVkNTdmZmJlMTk3ZDMxZDEyYjVkNWUzZjdhYzU0MTcxOWZmMWEzODVmZTAxOA%3D%3D&v=1&f=sd&utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Looks like maybe a direct artillery hit into a Russian piece with instantaneous massive secondary explosion. Agreed, the amount of footage today of Ukrainians carving up RU with artillery is much much higher than a few days ago, and with much higher precision/accuracy. Seems like the NATO artillery got into theatre with trained troops and is just wrecking the orcs.
  6. This has nice footage of a Javelin high angle attack; also lots of carnage aftermath and dead orcs if you need to scratch the itch. http:// https://v.redd.it/amwa5nzwroy81/HLSPlaylist.m3u8?f=sd&v=1&a=1654821213,NWYyMTIwYjYzY2IwZTgyMWI3OWY2M2Q1NTllMTQ1NzcwZjc4MDA0ZThkZmUwNThiYjhlMmU3MTIyYWE1ODE1NQ%3D%3D&utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
  7. From a link in the thread. I hadn’t seen this but I thought Lukashenko was just BS’ing this guy but, wait for it, he’s serious as a heart attack. Pretty funny. http://
  8. From the article: ””From 2014 to the present day, between 140 and 150 FSB officers had an unlimited budget to spend on recruiting Ukrainians of any level,” he said in a discussion with two journalists from Novaya Gazeta last month. Grozev added that much of the money was spent wooing Ukrainian recruits with expensive trips to Thailand, Cyprus and the Maldives. “It was money that they never earned,” he added, referring to the total failure of the FSB’s attempts to stir up unrest in Ukraine.” I guess this is FSB getting fired for corruption and ineffectiveness more than GRU being brought in to poison/assassinate people. I don’t see how it will help much in Ukraine, but it does officially give Putin another scapegoat.
  9. Crossing into mainland Russia plays right into Putin’s hand; Zelensky is to smart for that. As discussed, sit back with that sweet NATO artillery, intelligence, and air defense and call in artillery strikes on anything close to the border.
  10. I’ve actually been worried that the munitions the Ukrainians have been obtaining from the Russians would be rigged. Supposedly at some point in Vietnam when our guys would find a VC ammo dump, we would rig some of the stuff to blow immediately upon use (no fuse) but then put back to look undisturbed as a psyop so the VC would be suspicious of any of their ammo dumps that had been unattended.

  12. Eliminating orc column with artillery, maybe mines, etc. Warning: Sound off. http://
  13. Drone grenade splashing orc: http://
  14. Haven’t seen this yes - a perfect flip and landing on this turret in Mariupol:
  15. This is where I’m at, they may still sell 80%+ of their usual amount of O&G, but they are still losing a good amount of top line revenue there, I’d guess at least 10-20%. Then the supply chain of everything else being screwed, setting money on fire in Ukraine, ~30k dead soldiers, exposing their tech is shit, etc. It will take decades for Russia to recover (probably never to reach this strength of military numbers again). The skimming of oligarchs may go down this year, injecting a hidden revenue stream back into the economy. Every billion counts at this point.
  16. I would say Bonnie was one of the US’s first sex symbols (in a modern sense). She was hot, photogenic, had style, and a ride-or-die / “F the banks” attitude that spoke to the zeitgeist. That’s probably a big reason why they made it so long, the LEOs kinda dug her to a degree and didn’t really want to gun down the “it girl” of the time. Good trigger discipline too.
  17. I’m not an economist, but I don’t see how Russia is only going to have a ~8-12% GDP reduction this year. I definitely don’t understand the Russian economy, but I understand moving product, and when your biggest customers stop buying, shit goes bad fast. Here’s some year 2020 GDP reductions. Those 12-18% numbers sound more like what I think Russia is cruising for. Lose most of your external revenue that props everything up and have to rely on crappy internal economics, FAFO.
  18. From that twitter thread. Is this where Ramjet got his Bert meme, or did Al Qaeda steal a photoshop from Ramjet?
  19. Also, the hammer and sickle on the tank is the Chef’s Kiss.
  20. Turret’s popped, tank is made from paper mache, Crew is terrified, stereotypical Rooskie pushing them where they don’t want to be, Russian public is nonplussed/not interested. It’s perfect.
  21. Accurate depiction of current state of affairs: http://
  22. Drones dropping grenades on Orc positions. Not as satisfying as the sunroof shot, but that was probably a high point not to be reached again. The crazy thing to me is that the Orcs still don’t look up to try and see the drones, they either assume it’s mortar fire or haven’t gotten the message. http://
  23. Need this redone as Russian armor
