  1. Iconic venue. Iconic player. Good stuff.
  2. There was no one who embraced banter with fans more than Rickey. He savored it as much as the game itself. For several years in the days of the old Arlington Stadium we stood in line to make sure and get the $7 first-row seats in sections G & H whenever the Yankees or A's were coming to town. You didn't miss out. To get a front row seat in the left center stands in that old dinosaur was a ticket to unbridled entertainment. And that source of entertainment was Rickey. He didn't give a shit about playing the outfield. Never did. He was more interested in engaging, and telling you about how big his dick was, and how much your mom enjoyed it, and how much your sister would as well if your mom got tired of it, and on and on. One of the guys we used to go with to the games took in a folded up dry erase board to message Rickey, relentlessly. Rickey came close to climbing the wall when he was told that his manhood was "3 inches, on a good day", but he'd soon have to turn around and somewhat pay attention to a baseball game being played. The shit went on and on, and it was fantastic. Rickey was a character and beyond. And one helluva player. One of one. RIP Rickey.
  3. Indiana is a JV team. Boise and Arizona State are in the same zip code. Tonight was watered down. The quarters are going to be even worse in two of the games. Boise and Arizona State have no business being in a real playoff. There should be 8 teams, that's it. TV and idiocy will take us beyond 12 games.
  4. It was over in the first quarter. Some could use help differentiating between the Varsity and JV. IU was a nice story. That's all.
  5. The game was over when ND inundated IU's offensive line and its RB outran 3 players on the 98 yd TD. It's been over.
  6. Ware's normally terrible but he and Anish get the highest props for this. Lulz.
  7. Sarkisian had a week to implement an easy wrinkle against Georgia - some Manning snaps, mobility and a possible read-option, after seeing Georgia get torched in the previous week with that look. Didn't happen. Hope you're right.
  8. Oh yeah, definitely Target. Good point, so to speak.
  9. There's a host of MLB destinations including Pittsburgh, San Diego, Denver, San Fransisco, others. All newer venues in some really nice settings PNC in Pittsburgh, especially. Shit, look at at it below. So fair point on your end. Yankee Stadium simply because of Monument Park, historical nature of the team, etc. No wrong answers on this really. Just my preferences.
  10. It's one of the most majestic scenes in all of sport, anywhere. The 2:30(ish) local kick for the Rose Bowl game gets the sun setting on the San Gabriels in the 2H and it's simply incredible. I've been to a 1/2 dozen Bowl games there along with the 4 BCS championship games. Lucky enough to have a good friend on the Tournament of Roses committee. It's a dinosaur of a stadium but the setting is unparalleled. Big renovations to the stadium are on the horizon. A must see in American sports along with Allen Fieldhouse, Fenway, Wrigley, Yankee Stadium, Lambeau, Cameron, Hinkle Fieldhouse and Madison Square Garden.
