  1. Fashion myself somewhat of a weather nerd. But something I never heard in PHD's summer camps was hail and DVDs used in the same sentence. Da hell? https://www.kxan.com/weather/severe-weather-brings-baseball-size-hail-in-central-texas/
  2. In their day 12 paks were just appetizers.
  3. In tune w/ the bump, Alex turned 71 yesterday. Seventy fucking one.
  4. Nauseating, but it's rinse and repeat. Nothing will change. And we won't get more than 7% or 8% turnout the next time this scum runs, and it will be more rinse and repeat. If Garza's bullshit hasn't resonated by now it's never going to resonate enough to bring people out for change. Sad but true. And Garza will appear next Thursday in a Travis County courtroom in some ludicrous attempt by the state to remove him for incompetence. No one's questioning that issue but I hope the state falls flat on its face because the idiotic voters made the call, end of story. And the 93% of idiots who didn't vote especially deserve every minute of this unbridled piece of shit.
  5. Shit is so fascinating. Until we see the havoc they wreak.
  6. At the risk of derailing things the Katrina bulletin from the NWS will always go down as the worst.
  7. Agree. They like to backdate it now to the '81 Memorial Day flood but, yeah, Marble Falls.
  8. Is this a term worse than "worthless"? If so, it applies to Ellis. On another front, and speaking of useless, more money for the Texas Bungalow to do absolutely nothing, of course. High comedy continues. Just need fatter pockets to continue lining them. https://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/price-tag-could-go-up-for-north-austin-hotel-meant-to-house-people-who-are-homeless/
  9. That was simply incredible. All the rain sounded so good until, not unexpectedly really, we started hearing stories about houses floating down the Blanco. People inside.
  10. 2015. Wimberley flood. What a night / morning that was on Shaggy. Jim Spencer? Probably still hasn't lost his hard-on, 9 years later.
  11. True dat. Great place for hard-to-find shit.
  12. Not store bought but the best chips you can buy are at Fiesta (Tortillas) off Burleson Road.. It serves many of the restaurants in Austin and you won't find anything better or fresher. Originally from Del Rio and then to Austin, the Picos family does the chips right in the facility and they're brought out for resale at the front of the place. That great smell hits you just as you turn right onto Promontory Point off of Burleson. We've been getting ours there for family gatherings, etc. for years.
  13. They'll get caught, put in the cage for 10 minutes, released and be given a lollipop on the way out. And have all charges dropped. Remember where you live, people.
  14. Maybe already mentioned in here somewhere but there's a nice exhibition right now at the LBJ Library put on by the Springsteen Archives. Host of guitars on display including Number One along with quite a bit of other memorabilia. Goes until early August I think. Cheap, like $5 to get in. And the library is a good spot to visit, by itself. Hadn't been in awhile and had forgotten how interesting it is including the architecture of the building.
  15. If Sarkisian is still in need of d-line depth then someone recommend 1:55 for 20 seconds. The guy dropping via tase at 2:35 is worth the price of admission. And the midget capping things off is a nice finale. So much gold. Good 'ol 6th. Just where you want to take visitors. I can't believe idiots still recommend. Lollipops for everyone.

    Pearl Jam

Big fan of Vedder. As the musician and the human being. Insane (seems) that he will be 60 at the end of this year. Shit files, and flies fast.
  17. This was enough for a rep, or more. There are few things better than onions in a cast iron.
  18. El Borego De Oro is such a great place.
