  1. So good to see quality, patient ABs. Taking the ball where it's pitched.
  2. Man, that is a shitload of talking every day - 5 hours with Hogan and then another 3 hours working for Ketchum.
  3. Go home. Surely being inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame gets you a sick day or two.
  4. I recall dual jet bridges in Austin and / or Dallas a long time ago but it was only for a short time seemed like. Obviously expedited unloading but I'm guessing cost and / or mechanical issues were the reason(s) for them being short-lived?
  5. Saw this evening. Yeah, Cruise is a whack but no one can question his balls and their size. Forgotten Esai Morales played a big part. Wish he had survived longer in Ozark - just one of those actors that can easily send a chill up your spine, even at 60. On the subject of Cruise and his penchant for doing dumb / amazing shit. A little long at 9 minutes but a really interesting piece on the motorcycle / BASE jump scene:
  6. The producer on B&E's show brings it. Nothing better than redundant stories of how drunk a 20-something can get. Except when he comes in too hungover to even push the buttons, at all.
  7. SW, least in my experiences, has a sporadic and arbitrary pattern of comping drinks (not asking for credit cards). I'm obviously not complaining when it occurs but on some occasions the flight attendants are rigid on collecting and charging a card and in some cases, like last night coming home from Baltimore, they didn't even bother. We had four total drinks. Flight was on time, so they weren't trying to compensate for that.
  8. Fine. Just don't cut out the in-depth knowledge of professional wrestling.
  9. You don't think the Scottish Guy is one of the all-time great radio bits? Killjoy.
  10. If this "new" station really continues to employ Hastings then it was really is shit.
  11. I'm guessing Hogan and Babers will be doing a morning show together.
  12. People in row 29 of a 32-row 737, who spring out of their seats like it's a starter gun when the unfasten seatbelt ding is heard getting into the gate. If you don't have a connection to meet, which most don't, just sit your ass down and wait like everyone else. It's not going to make that much of a difference.
  13. There was mention in the Jones presser on Tuesday about "being glad that Brad (Sham) is here with us today." Did he have some major health issue(s) during the offseason?
  14. Evan Grant reporting that it's a wrist issue for Heim. Did they say anything (else) on the broadcast?
  15. Scored 12 of 13 runs tonight with 2 outs.
  16. That photo of McMichael is equally jaw-dropping and sad. Obviously not unusual to see final-stage ALS patients looking as such but he was just such a mammoth behemoth of a man and now... Again, what a wretched disease. God bless him, shit.
  17. No real option last night. Chapman, Burke and LeClerc used. Go to Smith to try and keep it tied and then turn to the rookies? Knowing that one or two of them had to be held back to pitch tonight in Eovaldi's spot. Again, no real option(s) and that's the core of the relief problem. There may be 20 runs scored (again) tonight. Maybe by the Astros alone.
  18. Thanks, going to watch. Looks really interesting.
  19. Bet they get a better return than the city of Austin does with its consultants. It hires consultants to select consultants, who then do nothing.
  20. Thought they said it compressed to the size of a fist. They did say fist. Another fun fact - Tanya Streeter lives in Oak Hill now. Still holds the womens world record for no limits free dive of 525 feet (Turks and Caicos). I remember reading that she could hold her breath for seven minutes. I'm not sure how that compares to today's free divers but it's pretty insane to the average Joe.
