  1. There's a host of MLB destinations including Pittsburgh, San Diego, Denver, San Fransisco, others. All newer venues in some really nice settings PNC in Pittsburgh, especially. Shit, look at at it below. So fair point on your end. Yankee Stadium simply because of Monument Park, historical nature of the team, etc. No wrong answers on this really. Just my preferences.
  2. It's one of the most majestic scenes in all of sport, anywhere. The 2:30(ish) local kick for the Rose Bowl game gets the sun setting on the San Gabriels in the 2H and it's simply incredible. I've been to a 1/2 dozen Bowl games there along with the 4 BCS championship games. Lucky enough to have a good friend on the Tournament of Roses committee. It's a dinosaur of a stadium but the setting is unparalleled. Big renovations to the stadium are on the horizon. A must see in American sports along with Allen Fieldhouse, Fenway, Wrigley, Yankee Stadium, Lambeau, Cameron, Hinkle Fieldhouse and Madison Square Garden.
  3. At 0:25. I mean shit, Carlo, Connie could take a punch better than your pansy ass.
  4. Great watch as always. Danielson needs to retire. He's so bad. Has been.
  5. Such a great game with the best post-game tradition in the sport.
  6. At a minimum the consensus was that Kelly stayed engaged with her constituents and, God forbid, would actually respond to calls, emails or both. In another words, she did her job. Certainly better than the corpse / Paige Ellis that represents my district.
  7. Samuel has become such a beating. A fat diva who whines, complains about touches but finds a way to drop a gift of a throw tonight for a TD that would put San Francisco in prime shape to win the game.
  8. Clown was able to railroad this the first time it happened in Austin. Not so this time around.
  9. Bump. Looking for recommendation(s) on a family-oriented all-inclusive. 3 teens (13 - 16) plus the wife. Anywhere down the coastline is fine, within 90 or so minutes of the Cancun airport. Thanks in advance.
  10. Yeah, thought the same thing. No way Michelle would want to reunite with him.
  11. First time I've listened to Belichick on the Manning Cast. Listening to him and Peyton dissect and analyze is gold. So much football acumen.
  12. Fair points. But you can also point to the need of pivoting and making in-game adjustments when it was clear the running game had no prayer well before the half. That would address the first and hopefully the 2nd point. If not the latter, then that's a concern on the unwillingness to adapt as you go in-game. On the final point, Sarkisian trusted Manning in a critical situation in College Station so I assume he would do so on Saturday.
  13. Continues to be bizarre that Sarkisian didn't give Manning 8 - 12 snaps during the game. The Georgia LBs pinned their ears back going downhill on the RBs as they knew Ewers offered no chance of hurting them on any sort of read option. Everyone saw King punish Georgia on that very thing a couple Friday nights ago. Inexplicable that Sarkisian didn't put that look out there for Georgia to deal with. Oh well.
  14. Agree, Pasch and Dvoracek are very good, just behind Fowler / Herbstreit. McDonough and McElroy are the best combo. Tessitore has become a beating. Got off his meds or something this season but just has zoned in to over-the-top WWE stuff. Mark Jones is the worst. Not sure how he's going to survive without being able to fellate Sanders / CU. Sucks that Klatt isn't doing any of the games but that also means that we won't have to deal with that unbridled weirdo Gus. He's probably still in therapy dealing with ohio's loss to Michigan.
  15. Klubnik and Ewers share some likeness - elite HS programs, highly recruited, have underachieved at the next level. Both struggle with pocket presence and are prone to dumb throws. Ewers is a better intermediate thrower. Klubnik throws the deep ball better and is much more mobile than Ewers. Not saying a lot. Like Ewers, Klubnik is a good QB, nothing more. He won't win / dominate any game. Pressure him, like Ewers, and things can go sideways. He can beat you with his legs so a dimension that will have to be accounted for.
  16. - Had nice seats in the bowl, especially wanted to sit across from the teams / coaches. - Didn't realize ESPN was bringing its A team to the game. - Shulman is the best CBB pxp in the business. Along with McDonough the best in college sports.Shulman is especially a nice guy. Some of you may remember how easily it was getting around the bowels of the Erwin Center post-game. Shulman was always hanging out just interested in talking hoops. Same with Fracshilla. Good guys. - This game was over with at the second TV timeout in the 1H. Two different teams. Especially with Karaban back. Varsity vs. JV. One team understands ball movement, defensive discipline and overall basketball acumen. The other hopes for it on every 3rd or 4th possession. - Someone said Murray (Bill) was in the stands. Always forget Luke is a big part of Hurley's staff. - Interesting to watch Hurley as he seems to be ceding more of the game / timeouts. Probably not surprising after two championships and related beating that entails. Kimani Young is a rising star. - Terry is good at adjusting his glasses, I'll give him that. Not sure that translates much to in-game adjustments. Best to ask Del Conte. Forced hire and whatever it / that was. Watching Hurley and Terry today reminds me of watching Saban and Howard on Game Day. One is the best in the business while the other seems to be an inept plant that doesn't really provide much, on a good day. For whatever reason. ESPN seems fine with its choice. Del Conte will have to decide on his.
  17. Reported earlier today. First round game projections (On3 / ESPN): SMU @ Texas Indiana @ ND Tenn @ ohio Clemson @ Penn State Regional ties. We'll see how close this is when the pairings are announced in 7 hours or whenever it is that this beating is over.
  18. Lulz. No one said anything about firing Sarkisian. He's a good coach. If it offends face painters in pointing out the (coaching) reasons we lost tonight then so be it. They're the same idiots who are probably blaming the loss on the officials.
  19. Meh. Seek out the blame-it-on-the-refs thread. Threads. Plural. To your liking. Coaching lost the game tonight. Pretty straightforward.
  20. Laughable. - Haynes King toyed with Georgia on the zone read, just a week ago. With marginal talent. Toyed with them. Perfect fit for Manning and his legs tonight, should have seen 10 - 15 snaps minimum. Not at all, for whatever reason. Some else can ask. Stupidity. - Georgia scrub backup QB thrown into a bad situation at the half. He's taking notes with 2 minutes left in the 1H, talking to his girlfriend and clueless. Okay. Fucking blitz his ass over and over from the get-go, you have elite DBs to secure Georgia's marginal WRs. No. Instead, let the shit QB get comfortable off the bat in the 2H for the key drive in the game. We saw what happened to this guy deep in the 4Q when pressured. Hindsight, Pete, you dumb fuck. Earn your money. - Special teams....Banks...place kicking, pathetic punting, a fake punt that decided the game. Dear lord.
