  1. Watch the fucking game, you douches in the home plate suites. You have the best seats in the house. If you want to go to a bar then do so.
  2. Guessing it's buried in 148 pages of this thread but just watched Our Father. Some fucked up shit captured by the woman's quote: "I walk around this town and could be related to anyone."
  3. Bochy announced late this afternoon that he got pushed back another 2 to 3 weeks per Bochy. Meaning more toward the end of August vs. initial expectation of returning Aug. 10. Eovaldi's already had two Tommy Johns along with a flexor tendon repair. He initially described this latest issue as being on the outside of the arm which is not typically indicative of an ulnar collateral issue. But you can be sure that Rangers brass is going to tread lightly given Eovaldi's injury history and what happened to deGrom. Maybe Eovaldi just needs the rest of August and can then contribute in September and the playoffs. That's the hope. But management has done its part to ensure the staff can compete and win without him.
  4. Probably necessary with Eovaldi's situation. Who knows if he'll pitch again this season.
  5. Good. Need wins in 4 of these next 5. Preferably 5 of 5. Two left with Miami and then 3 at garbage / Oakland. From there things heat up a bit more but 8-out-of-9 momentum would be big going into a tougher stretch of the season.
  6. No cheapie there.
  7. Pesky Pole like. 335 feet I'm guessing.
  8. Eovaldi out another 2 to 3 weeks. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/baseball/news/rangers-nathan-eovaldi-out-another-2-to-3-weeks/
  9. Oh man, that is fantastic news. Wow.
  10. Makes sense that the clown Manziel would be on the clown McAfee's show.
  11. If a $5MM bender doesn't get you there, nothing will. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38133869/johnny-manziel-says-attempted-suicide-browns-release
  12. Yeah, has been the scuttle for awhile. Ritz going in I think. The CR was a great destination for mid-strip cheap craps. (Now gone) had that one table buried way in the back with very surly dealers and the absolute best cocktail service. Not the best looking waitresses and not even close. But it was very rare that your drink was empty and you'd have a waitress waiting to take another order.
  13. Fortuitous landing spot at a porta. Probably needed it.
  14. Meh. Those color guy is getting his blood pressure up over borderline pitches. They weren't clear strikes. You'd then they were listening to the broadcast.
  15. From Buster Olney - Runs since All Star break: Cubs 145 Next Atl / SD 102
  16. And with the ChiSox of recent mind, 30 years ago today:
  17. Stanton getting hot at a good time.
  18. While simultaneously being dressed for December.
  19. Yeah, 2011 is in the rearview mirror. Now 27 days of consecutive 100+ which ties the record from that year. Looking at another 10 or so in a row, minimum. F this.
  20. Opened at -225 which is a very big # to begin with. Closed at -310 which is extremely rare for an MLB game. Extremely. Yes, terrible coaching by Beasley. Gotta be more situationally aware. Guessing Bochy tell him as such.
  21. And a 7-pitch inning for ChiSox.
  22. Bullock IMAX just opened up showings for Friday the 11th and Saturday the 12th. As of early this evening there were still tickets available. https://www.thestoryoftexas.com/
  23. Dear lord. In a city that's paraded out some unlistenable sports radio duos over the last decade or so, we may have a first ballot hall of fame entry.
  24. One run allowed over the last 17 innings. (Yes, 1/3 of that with a newbie.) Doesn't matter if it's a garbage opponent. Bochy said on Monday that he hoped the new acquisitions would generate better performances from the existing staff as they vie to stay in the rotation. So far, so good.
  25. Houston's next 7: 4 at NYY, 3 at Baltimore. Make a little hay.
