  1. i can't get past the paywall. any way you can post the relevant text?
  2. stop for just a minute and think about your argument, which actually does have some merit if you can stop for a minute and think past "we need more prison cells." talk about "durr," which is a facile, borderline cancelable insult. but overlooking that, let's support your assertion. how should an arrest for a violent crime look from arrest to booking to charging to bond to trial? should we lock up everyone the cops accuse of a crime indefinitely?
  3. how do we know they are violent offenders if they haven't been tried?
  4. that link is the shittiest copy i may have ever read. my sons could write a better story, with some sort of statistic evidence, analysis and i dunno actual fucking evidence of the claim being made.
  5. fix was in. one or two bad calls in a big game i can normally shrug off. when the number of bad calls trend only one way and hits the half dozen mark and on multiple occasions take points off the board...well it's not fucking rocket science is it
  6. i think they just signed him yesterday. I'd be willing to bet that was what was in his suitcase for Friday night smackdown. I'm here for the mcafee era.
  7. that's if you think it was up to him. and yes, he needs to grow up and be a man and steer his own ship, but i think we've all seen friends destroy important relationships because of a significant other who was toxic.
  8. damn. just after elevating william and kate to prince and princess of wales, charles wishes "harry and meghan well building their new life overseas" harsh, but fair, i reckon
  9. he can, but elizabeth said during jjubilee that she wanted camilla to be queen consort. i doubt the first thing charles does is stomp on his mother's wishes.
  10. damn. my dad was stationed in germany during the korean war. he got a furlough and went with a couple of army buds to london to get drunk and have themselves a time. they get to london, and the city is packed. there's nowhere to stay. turns out they arrived the day before elizabeth's coronation. they stayed in a random family's attic and attended the event. not so cool story bro, i guess.
  11. that's what it sounds like. i'd imagine that within hours of his arrival there isn't the announcement posted.
  12. i'm willing to accept that in news events like this when we are relying on live news reporting over internet links.
  13. if meghan isn't there, she can never go back to britain. ever.
  14. no, i get it. but i still think she's dead, even if she's "medically alive" and i think everyone knows it, but are waiting out of respect.
  15. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11193877/Alastair-Stewart-slammed-pre-emptive-misjudged-coverage-BBCs-Hugh-Edwards-wears-black-tie.html and of course there is a neurotic backstory, because britain.
  16. yeah, but reading between the lines...her mobility issues during her jubilee, the covid, her appearance to receive the prime minister in scotland instead of london, etc. i mean, i hope i'm wrong, but she's old and she's frail and shit happens quick at that age.
  17. that's the sign. bbc wouldn't go to black suits and ties unless...
  18. my london colleague said that there haven't been any anchors sighted for awhile, just shots of the airport and gates at balmoral. they are probably changing though. it looks like she may have already passed. and there's a special news program on at 6pm UK time.
  19. yeah, i hate that i think this way, but i'd bet she's already passed and they are just getting their shit in proper order.
