  1. Saban's point still stands. There were more Alabama fans in the stands by a significant margin. It actually wasn't a comment about the quality of team.
  2. The specific play call, and the pass itself were both trash. Is that a good enough answer? Not sure you would find anyone to defend either one of those. And yet, neither of those has anything to do with you getting upset about numerous people calling out your reasoning/evidence. I think everyone is in agreement that in this game, in that specific situation, we were fine with taking the points that were already on the board.
  3. I read your post, which is why I quoted his response and wrote mine. Your main point was a frustration with Sark taking points off the board, and in an attempt to further justify your point that it was idiotic you listed some evidence---some of which was clearly not true, and not just in a high school english class way of dissecting your chosen adjectives. Instead of just saying it was a weird game where we had already cost ourselves sure points, and wanted to make it a two score game, which would be a completely reasonable point, and wouldn't have elicited a single response from anyone. Imagine telling Sark who was watching Arch's best game to date, "Hey, you shouldn't go for it here because Arch won't be able to deliver."
  4. there is nothing to elaborate, it's made up garbage. Arch was near perfect in actually throwing the ball, he had a handful of plays in the first half where he was a second too late on decisions--to either check down, tuck and run or throw it away--and maybe another 2-3 throws where it looked like he forced it into the wrong read, but other than that, he was nails. Yeah, he is a little slow in picking up clear extra edge defenders, but again RB blitz pickup is beyond awful, on a PA-pass if you have a free rusher you have to adjust your angle to pickup if that is your assignment. Look, there were also a couple plays Arch should have checked out of, but not sure where he is in that freedom--plus one was for sure in the 4th when Sark was probably insistent to stay in run calls--even if we should have switched to a different run.
  5. Hell, go back to letting the band play "All I do is win" for a few rounds if we are really trying to kill time to let them do post game on field interviews.
  6. The new "tradition" of playing "I Like Texas" which used to be the Rangers win song after the game and before the Eyes has to stop. I get that they are trying to vamp to give Sark/Players who are getting TV interviewed time to complete the TV piece before they run over to sing with the team, but listening to 3 minutes of Pat Green singing while the whole team stands in the corner staring at the band is awful. If you have to play a song, which I don't think you need to do to vamp, we never used to do this, then play something that will at least keep the post win energy going. It's crazy to watch our team and student section just stand around staring at the band.
  7. BOOM! Chicken wings for errrrrrrrrbody
  8. Thought the in-game video board production, namely the consistent lack of replays was bad. Always thought we showed replays pretty consistently before, but yesterday was awful. My kid of course wants kettle corn because I have got it for him in the past, and at least in the entire upper deck there were only two vendors with kettle corn, and both only took swipe cards, so my even though we walked all the way around and waded through the shade seeking crowds at halftime, he got zero kettle corn. Love that CDC has held concession prices to his original rollbacks for all these years, it's funny because it makes the third party vendors look so much worse. Chick Fil A: $11 for one sandwich. H-Tea-O: Iced tea cup mainly filled with ice, $8. UT operated concession stands, fountain coke, still $3. Major props there. Also loved the proactive distribution of the cool towels and setups to replenish with ice water. Smart and helpful.
  9. It will, but you aren’t looking for 4k ultra quality. you want a steady live cam that shows the action not allows people to stalk moles across the courtyard.
  10. If it’s close enough to get on the harrahs/Caesar’s network you could also bring a travel router and create your own network piggybacking off their connection
  11. A t-mobile or Verizon 5g router would be much cheaper and still work.
  12. Based on how he reacted, and watching the replay, especially how it behaved on the twist, I think he popped and tore his ACL when it hit/twisted on the ground, before the roll over and twist from the TCU guy. And as someone that tore an ACL and kept playing for a few weeks, crawling around to try to get off the field is exactly how you would react.
  13. In the hypothetical world of a 12-team playoff this year, do you think Sark would tell Quinn to have a seat in the OK St and TCU games? Because, we are one win away from being there this year.
  14. Thanks. Already have a message out to that poster.
  15. Just need something that will get me in the stadium. Don't care where. Let me know.
  16. Actually, plan worked out pretty great. Fletcher's 830 am breakfast, followed by fresh cut Jack's French fries. Then grabbed a drink, checked out some of the fair stuff, grabbed another snack. Headed into the stadium an hour before kickoff, hung out in the shade under and took care of business in the upstairs bathroom.
  17. Did it. The stall door didn't even latch, but since it was an hour before game time it all worked out okay.
  18. Any word on how the e-tickets for the game will work for getting you into the fair? Is there a separate code for the fair ticket they will scan? Or do you think they found a way to link the codes? Maybe they will just have you show them the ticket as they do with the paper ones as you walk in.
  19. Not sure how my plan of finding one inside the fair on Saturday morning will work in the new world of phone only tickets. So if you have one extra let me know.
  20. I would call the cops every time. Record the noise levels, record video with the noise levels throughout the property. Then, I would send every single one to the neighbor. Next, I would find his listings and then call whichever provider it is from AirBNB, VRBO, etc, and work until you get a customer service manager who can do something. Provide them the correspondence with the owner and the evidence of continual violation of nuisance laws. Build your paper trail for both civil action against the owner, and administrative action from the platforms he is profiting off of.
  21. If he had any self-respect he would resign as well. Even if he does, he'll be a back bencher, non-chairman.
  22. No, it will not. Unless the Dems can get to 75 seats for an even split, or more. Empower Texans has been pushing for the GOP caucus to have a binding vote for one speaker candidate, and this gets them closer to that being how a GOP led house would select. So even if they have only 76 seats, Republicans would vote and choose their speaker within their own caucus. Which should things continue to go MQS and Co's way would be a no-blind vote, so they can pressure and attack those that don't go for their guys.
  23. If you are, or have ever been, an active democrat and you live in Texas you need to be doing everything, I mean everything in your power to focus on the Texas House. I am not even joking. You need to be recruiting the best, engaged and respected local candidates. You need to be engaging all the people motivated by Trump to turn their energy to a race here in Texas you can have major impact on. I don't know how to be clearer. Democrats can win control of the Texas house thanks to Empower Texans, and you need to not look back and go get it done in the suburban districts. Realize that because of Trump nationally, and now this dumb stuff state-wide, that Democrats can turn one chamber Blue by focuses on winning over engaged Texas moderates and establishment GOP types. There is tons of this. Bonnen, MQS both realized this as a threat, which is why Bonnen was dumb enough to have this meeting. The removal of straight party ticket voting, plus the blind loyalty to the President by a certain subset of voters will give smart Democratic candidates massive opportunities to win state house seats.
  24. Rolling up to Fair Park right now. Let me know if you end up with an extra and we can meet in the fair.
  25. I am flying into Dallas late tonight but will meet you at the fair in the morning. Thanks
