Pls don’t take this the wrong way,
but do you think there’s a chance tech would sacrifice integrity for wins? And hire an unhirable man because no one else will?
Only if that person graduated from Tech.

Art Briles to Tech won't happen, but the shitstorm if it did happen would make me laugh.
Mac Engle at the FWST says Tech should hire Art Briles, I think Mac Engle has lost his mind.

Any talk of Mike Leach being agreeable to return to Tech is Mike Leach trolling Tech.

I think the rule doesn't work because the coach can send in his #4 CB for one play and tells him to get a cramp. So big deal he comes out for the rest of the possession. I can see Saban have 12 walkons just for fake cramp duty. Of course I think the defenses have too many rules to contend with anyway. Maybe Gundy can solve Targeting too.

Dallas Cowboys??!! Don’t laugh. Jerry has a history with former OU Sucks coaches.
Yes I could see that happening but really why did he leave coaching in the first place. Maybe putting up with all those 4*/5* egos gets old when you have 50 million in the bank.

Dude is 67 years old, he’s not getting in anything these days.
He would be a youngster at K-State.

So he hires Hugh freeze who takes over in 4-5 year? Kansas City car dealerships and escort services benefit greatly and by 2025 KU manages to pull top 10 recruiting classes
I think that's possible and I don't think it's totally impossible to see Art Briles as OC.
-
Where is Leavitt nowadays and the Mangino man? Could Art Briles show up somewhere as an OC?

Okay, I'm not going to address all of that because it is a novel, just going to make a couple of points.
1. Leach turned Washington State around, they are currently 8-1 and ranked 8th in the CFP. The guy is making chicken salad out of chicken shit. Leach inherited a program that went 9-40 the 4 years before he got there. He is now 46-39 almost through his 7th. The guy does more with less than just about anybody in the country, Texas Tech had 6 AP top 25 finishes as a program before Leach arrived, in Leach's 10 seasons they had 5... Complaining that Leach hasn't won a Pac 12 title or division title is like complaining that Matt Campbell hasn't done anything of significance at Iowa State.
2. It is Syracuse and Purdue... Syracuse and Purdue...
3. Mike Leach and Mark Mangino (at Kansas) both ran offenses in this conference that had already been seen in this conference and succeeded at their respective jobs in terms of the ceilings of those jobs. Both were OC's at OU and both took the same system and succeeded as HCs in the Big 12. Kliff isn't succeeding simply because Kliff isn't a good HC, it has nothing to do with the offense he is running. His offense led Manziel to a Heisman and aggy to their best overall season since 1998. He just isn't a HC but Tech really doesn't have a choice because they want Kliff to succeed because they know if he does, he isn't going to leave and Tech doesn't want to be a stepping stone program, so they wait. 60% of the Big 12 is not running the air raid. Baylor has never run the air raid, Oklahoma State doesn't run the air raid. The only school that runs anything like it is Texas Tech.
4. If Les still had it, he would have never let it slip at LSU. I just don't see it at Kansas
Item number 4 is correct for numerous reasons and it's worth an attaboy.

I'm just waiting to see who KU hires. I'm not sure that program has to suck the way history indicates.

I don't understand how Sam keeps from getting concussions every week, he may be the toughest guy on the team.

tcu might miss a bowl making Patterson sweat even more. Although now UT wins over TCU and USC don't look so good.
TCU may be returning to their historical place.

Nickname not apt because frogs don't pretend to be religious
Doesn't really matter because they are more like Baylor than anyone else in the state. Purple Baylor is a perfect name IMO.

I love Charlie Strong. He's my favorite bad coach of all time. I've never felt any bit of resentment towards him even though he ruined many of my favorite Saturdays for a few years because I felt like he was a good man who was trying really hard. He's just not very good.
He should not be hired by a power 5 conference even though I think he probably will.
With that being said, ”Kurt"
My guess is that KU hires him, they have a track record when hiring coaches.

My biggest take away from this game is that Patterson is a mouth-breathing fat slob that likes to scream at everybody. He's particularly embarrassing when the camera crews zero in on his tantrums.

One of these is likely the fourth best team in the conference. Oi.

If he was told to leave TCU and fired from Kansas, why am I seeing people suggesting we hire him?
It's the interwebs, almost anything can happen and everything is true.

Why the hell did Meachem ever leave TCU?
Pretty sure he was told to leave.

I don't let Baylor get in my head and there's way too many lawyers that have to get paid in order to get rid of Baylor. It's probably better to just move elsewhere and blame it on Baylor.
-
There is no way that Baylor can beat the UT team that played OU last week. However, they could win against the UT team that played Maryland and Tulsa. I'm not concerned but I do get mental issues until the offense scores. I think this game is over by halftime.

You’re being too kind to OSU. Our QB is pretty far down the list of problems we have.
O line - ISU had 6 sacks on the season. They had 7 today. Maybe the worst OL I’ve ever seen.
Defense - I can’t even...just watch 10 minutes of one of our games. Worse than OUs defense believe it or not.
Coaching- Gundy doesn’t even seem to be trying. Coach Bro out coached him. By a lot. Chew on that.
Penalties- we commit them. A lot. Stupid ones at stupid times.
I will be shocked if we make a bowl game. I’ll be surprised if we win another game. Maybe BU, but I don’t know why. It’s on the road and their players seem to care. KSU on the road? The Wizard vs a coach who’s mailing it in. I’ll take the Wizard.I think you will have a hard time beating BU in Waco, they have a terrible defense but they can score points. The Purple Wizard seems done to me after watching him yesterday, I actually think that BU coach out coached him yesterday. I think this could be the Purple Wizard's final year.

There are coaches out there that would take the KU job and make that program into a 6 win program every year and maybe a double digit winning season once a decade. Figuring out who that coach is may be a big problem but that's what ADs are for. KU is not incapable of fielding decent football teams because Mangino proved it is possible. The out of work coaches that are available are unemployed right now for a reason, I would look elsewhere. There are lot's of candidates available among the successful G5 schools, pick the right one and the problem is solved. There's a guy in Boise that would like to move up, I would at least talk to him.
