  1. Taking a step back, I find it really gross how the actualities of this issue are, once again, being discussed over women's heads by people for whom it's really all academic. I could go into my own personal experience of shitty choices foisted upon me when I was young, but what's the fucking point? People for whom this is black and white, rather than a sad, complicated shades-of-grey issue soaked in a history of racial and gender inequity, will never care. When people in such large numbers disagree, and some or many of those people on both sides can be characterized as rational, the default should be that the individual with personal autonomy gets to choose.
  2. the only situation I've used mine for is travel to the Bahamas. So, International travel to some countries.
  3. 2nd Pfizer shot on 3/26 Neg. for previous Covid Antibodies 561.
  4. what the fuck is this?? Findings: We got skullfucked into Gorsuch and Barrett, with an entitled partisan rapist hack sandwiched in between. Fascism commences. Investigation closed.
  5. Not going to google it for you, but only vaxxed people who are infected AND symptomatic have the same viral loads, with regard to spreading it. But being vaxxed helps prevent infection to begin with (obviously) and most who do get infected are asymptomatic or mild, so to say that getting the vaccine doesn't significantly stop the spread, is bullshit.
  6. sorry, meant to quote you.
  7. Slightly dirty, but we've filled out the screener questions on ARC to say asymptomatic in order to skip the appointment requirement. Even then, first available appt for curbside was the following day (this was last week). Neg result by the way. They do have a telemedicine option where you can speak to an on-call doc very quickly (in order to then do a drive-up test anytime), if you pay for some e-med account on there (think it's $40 for a one-off). At-home test if you want to know something immediately, obv. less accurate than the PCR test ARC does.
  8. Yeah like vetoing stuff with broad bipartisan support, like don't leave your dog tied up out in the hot fucking sun all day. He's just an absolutely loathsome cunt with no guiding principles other than performative governance to keep his stranglehold on power.
  9. My kid just got sent home sick. Was nice knowing y'all.
  10. urine test?? Since when is that the thing they do for dwi evidence? Fishy
  11. Sorry your community and your leaders failed you, kids. Senseless.
  12. I think the manlet's head is eligible for the vaccine but his tiny body may not be.
  13. worries about the long-term consequences of the vaccine Worries about it but doesn't bother to seek out legitimate information. Meanwhile doesn't worry about actual Covid being way fucking worse than the vaccine. Seems about right for this crowd. [insert Napoleon Dynamite IDIOT gif]
  14. posted this in the wrong thread, sorry about the double post: How should I balance the risk of my May-birthday 11-yr old boy growing a second head from getting a too "high" for his age dose of the Covid vaccine now, versus outcome from Covid due to waiting with thumbs up our asses for approval for under-12s? Sick of being sitting ducks here and spouse with J&J gimp shot getting no guidance from CDC or doctor other than to wait and see about booster.
  15. Real talk --- how should I balance the risk of my May-birthday 11-yr old boy growing a second head from getting a too "high" for his age dose of the Covid vaccine now, versus outcome from Covid due to waiting with thumbs up our asses for approval for under-12s? Sick of being sitting ducks here and spouse with J&J gimp shot getting no guidance from CDC or doctor other than to wait and see about booster.
  16. Hmm seems really way off to me that the accuracy is higher for neg result than positives.... Our pediatrician told us that 3 out of 10 PCR test results are false negatives, so I have to think the at-home tests are even less accurate esp. considering the self-administration.
  17. Yet another golden opportunity for a bigwig MAGAt to get the very best treatment and private, personal care and then declare Covid's really no big deal and everyone should just nut up and carry on with life as usual.
  18. I can't adequately answer this, but my question is how the executive order banning mask mandates furthers the emergency declaration. In other words, the action prohibiting localities from exercising their powers does not serve to mitigate the emergency, it serves to prevent the localities from doing so. Totally backasswards.
  19. Gotdamn, all 3 branches of our state government suck so incredibly hard. What did we do to deserve this death cult that can never be voted out?
