  1. Well, leaving a young child at home is frowned upon up to a certain age.
  2. Dogs belong in pet stores only. Anywhere else it’s about the owner showing off their dogs and how great of an owner they are. Leave your fuckig dog at home.
  3. This 100%. They don’t belong at any store other than Petco or Petsmart. Leave your damn dog at home or order online.
  4. York is a wonderful little seaside town. Stay at the Union Bluff Hotel and get a room in the Annex. Go down to the corner liquor store and get your preferred beverage (bourbon for me). Make cocktails in your room and sit the Adirondack chairs in the grass and just watch the waves roll into the beach.
  5. A lot of shows to choose from on this date as well, but I'm sticking with the early 80's.
  6. Helobious had some horrible and wrong opinions.
  7. There is a lot to choose from on this date. It was a tough choice but I settled on 3/25/83. I'm going to keep exploring an era that I had largely written off because I had heard a few "bad" shows (mostly shows when Jerry seemed to be too high to remember words). But even on those nights, I'm finding that the music didn't slip.

I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever looked forward to a new season of a series more than I have this one.
  9. That’s Anderson Cooper.
  10. I enjoyed it when I went last summer.
  11. That so many good people shuffle off this Earth every day but somehow Jerry Jones is still alive.
  12. Goddamn, 85 was a great year. I need to just go ahead and listen to every show. Maybe it's because Brent had 6 years under his belt and had a lot of confidence? Maybe I just really like the songs they were playing then? I don't know, bu I've yet to listen to a bad show form that year. Here is one from 3/22/85 where Bobby goes full rock star during Sunshine Daydream. Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
  13. Very few athetes have gone from despised to loved the way George Foreman did. RIP to one of the greats that made boxing such a big part of my early sports watching life.
  14. I’m really looking forward to the second set!
  15. Tsunami? Do you mean lahar? That seems a long way from the water to cause a tsunami. I could absolutely be wrong though.
  16. I really like what they’ve done over the last couple of weeks. If they have a good draft and stay healthy next year, they could really make some noise.
  17. I assume Irag or Afghanistan.
  18. I have no empathy for motorcycle riders that are splitting lanes and get killed. I do empathize with the people in the cars that would have to live knowing they had unintentionally killed someone.
  19. Kick its ass!!
  20. The important thing about your Gleason score is was it 3+4=7 or 4+3=7? The latter is more aggressive and may require a little more effort to treat.
  21. We particularly enjoyed the Korean Monument at night as well as the Vietnam Wall (for obvious personal reasons). The entire Mall west of the Washington is really spectacular at night.
  22. We ate an early lunch there so I didn’t eat a whole lot. I had a crabcake and bowl of chowder. The wife ate The Walter sandwich. The pastrami on it was absolutely amazing. Hands down the best pastrami I’ve ever had and it’s not even close. I very badly want to go back for dinner one night. Overall, it’s just a very pleasant experience. A very professional restaurant and bar.
  23. We just did DC last week for Spring Break. We had a great time. It was nice to do something different than sitting on a beach or skiing. I just read GOLL's post above and damned if we didn't have almost the same trip. Hotel - The Mayflower. We loved it. We got a suite with a room so our son slept on the fold out couch in the living room. The room also had two bathrooms (only one shower). Museums/Monuments - Air & Space, Natural History, Spy, Holocaust and Ford's Theater. We also walked The Mall and saw all of the monuments. We also walked around Arlington and saw the Changing of the Guard which is always awesome. One night, my wife and I went back and did the monuments again. They really have a different vibe at night. I actually enjoy them more. Food - Old Ebbitt Grill was amazing. I could eat there every day and be fine. Filomena in Georgetown was great as well. We did Ben's Chili Bowl one night. Founding Farmers was pretty solid as well. We had a great trip and I'm really glad we did it. We love the city. I actually feel like it would be a great place to live if you could afford it.
