  1. In 2021, I started following DMB. Boyd's absence from the group has left a hole. Even if the horns have filled the void, you still feel something is missing. The 2024 performances have been excellent. I saw them in Dallas and Colorado this year. 2024 concerts have seemed like conventional 90s and early 2000s set. As a newcomer (I started listening in middle school), you'd expect them to hire someone. In my perspective, Dave respects Boyd and does not wish to occupy that spot. I mean, he was important in shows and stole songs away from the band. But it was still a wonderful show. My father and I try to see DMB every year he is in town.
